Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1050: Chapter 1046: A False Alarm

Huo Sining couldn’t help but freeze.

She suddenly remembered that when she was in the office before, Nagayama Kaiyuki had indeed mentioned while talking to himself that Zhen Ji Sha wanted to receive a scholarship.

Almost instantly, Huo Sining understood Zhen Ji Sha’s situation, why this girl would accompany an old man like Nagayama Kaiyuki to drink late at night.

She needed the money and couldn’t afford to lose the scholarship over a failed final assessment. At that time, Nagayama Kaiyuki tempted her by asking her to dine with him, and Zhen Ji Sha couldn’t resist the temptation.

Perhaps she never thought that Nagayama Kaiyuki was such a beast. She just thought she was having a meal and a drink with her teacher, and gritting her teeth, she could get through it.

Unfortunately, she miscalculated human nature and underestimated Nagayama Kaiyuki’s shamelessness.

If it weren’t for Huo Sining happening to appear in that office at that moment, Zhen Ji Sha might already be under Nagayama Kaiyuki’s power, violated by such a brute, recorded on video, and forever controlled by him, subject to his manipulation.

Just imagining such a scenario sent shivers down Huo Sining’s spine and filled her with dread.

She couldn’t help but sigh helplessly, assisted Zhen Ji Sha into the room, and laid the girl on her bed.

Although she was in a drunken stupor, Zhen Ji Sha curled up entirely, assuming a self-defensive posture, her brows furrowed tightly, looking extremely uneasy.

This girl was clearly inexperienced in the ways of the world. Nagayama Kaiyuki must have seen this point, thinking such a girl would be easy to manipulate and that’s why he targeted Zhen Ji Sha.

The girl was sleeping soundly, and Huo Sining had no intention of waking her, allowing her to occupy her bed while she took out her laptop to search the stack of books and materials she saw in Nagayama Kaiyuki’s office online.

As expected, during her search, Huo Sining quickly discovered that the materials Nagayama Kaiyuki gathered were extensive and many were textbooks used in master’s or doctoral programs.

This showed how painstakingly the professor Nagayama Kaiyuki planned to harm her, using such high-difficulty, off-syllabus textbooks to set their sophomore year finals. It was a real challenge for this old professor.

Huo Sining couldn’t help but let out a cold laugh in her heart, placing an order online and buying all these books and materials.

Worried about sleep disturbances, at night, Hinata Chinatsu helped change Zhen Ji Sha into a clean set of pajamas, and the girl didn’t wake up throughout.

It wasn’t until early the next morning that Zhen Ji Sha woke up from her sleep, dazed for a few seconds, with chaotic images flashing through her mind. Then she recalled the scene of being taken to the office by Nagayama Kaiyuki, and her face instantly turned pale, sitting up abruptly, instinctively lifting the quilt to check her condition.

Seeing herself wearing a set of women’s pajamas, Zhen Ji Sha was confused. Glancing around the environment, realizing she was in a girls’ dormitory, she became even more puzzled, unsure of what was happening.

Just then, Huo Sining returned from an exercise outside, saw Zhen Ji Sha standing in the room, and smiled, ”You’re awake, does your head still hurt?”

Zhen Ji Sha shook her head, looked at Huo Sining, recognizing this girl as the Huaxia exchange student who joined the biology department mid-term, and became even more bewildered, ”Is this your dorm? I slept in your bed last night?”

Huo Sining nodded, ”Yes, I came back yesterday, while passing the grove, found you drunkenly asleep there. In this cold weather, you’d definitely get sick sleeping there. I didn’t know where you lived, so I brought you back.”

Zhen Ji Sha’s eyelids twitched involuntarily, a flash of panic and nervous fear in her eyes, and she blushed, urgently asking, ”When you found me, was I the only one lying in the grove? No one else? What was my situation then? Was there... anything unusual?”

Zhen Ji Sha wanted to ask Huo Sining whether she had been violated, but the words got stuck in her throat, as she couldn’t bring herself to say them.

Huo Sining knew what Zhen Ji Sha was worried about. In that situation yesterday, the girl might have been partially conscious but she would certainly have some recollection of Nagayama Kaiyuki taking her back to the office.

To ease the girl’s heart, Huo Sining quickly smiled and said, ”If there were anyone else, I wouldn’t have intervened. You were lying on the bench alone, muttering nonsense. There was no other noticeable peculiarity, should be none. Anyway, when people are drunk, it’s generally like this, you don’t need to feel embarrassed.”

Hearing Huo Sining’s words, Zhen Ji Sha slightly exhaled a sigh of relief, raised her head to glance at Huo Sining, nodded, and suddenly pointed towards the bathroom, asking softly, ”May I use the bathroom?”

Huo Sining nodded, ”Of course, feel free.”

With permission, Zhen Ji Sha quickly went into the bathroom and locked the door.

Huo Sining had already guessed what the girl intended to do in the bathroom, gave a faint smile, turned around and took out the breakfast she had bought from outside.

Over there, Zhen Ji Sha, after entering the bathroom, immediately took off the pajamas and began inspecting her body. Seeing nothing strange and not feeling any abnormalities, she finally relaxed, confirming she wasn’t violated by Nagayama Kaiyuki the previous night.

But what exactly happened? She was clearly brought to the office by Nagayama Kaiyuki last night, and he pressed her onto the desk... At that moment, she was so desperate, wanting to resist but feeling powerless.

She thought she would be humiliated by Nagayama Kaiyuki, never expecting to wake up in the bed of the Huaxia girl exchange student; also, from what the girl said, she wasn’t aware of how she ended up in the grove, just that she drank and slept there alone.

Zhen Ji Sha’s mind was a jumble, unable to understand the situation. Could Nagayama Kaiyuki have had a moment of conscience at the critical juncture and let her go? But was that possible?

Carrying her bewilderment, Zhen Ji Sha emerged from the bathroom, finding Huo Sining had already set breakfast, who smiled and said, ”Hungry? Want something to eat?”

Zhen Ji Sha looked up at Huo Sining, smiled, and in that moment, the Huaxia girl’s eyes, as calm and vast as a black sea, shimmered with a serene stability, giving an inexplicable sense of safety. For some reason, staring at those eyes, all her fears and panic vanished, leaving only peace.

She subconsciously nodded and reached out to pick up the steaming rice ball on the table.
