Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1073: Chapter 1069: Emergency Rescue

”Everyone, please take out the safety manual from your seat and read it carefully, keep in mind the escape routes. If something really happens, you must find a way to rescue yourself.”

”Moreover, are there any doctors or nurses among the passengers? Are there any doctors? Our security officer was attacked by hijackers and is now severely injured in the back, bleeding profusely, and needs emergency medical attention urgently. If there are any doctors, we hope you can step forward and help!”

The flight attendant shouted several times, and finally, a middle-aged woman gritted her teeth, braved herself up, and stood up with a slightly nervous expression, saying, ”I’m a doctor.”

The flight attendant was instantly overjoyed when she heard this, and eagerly went to welcome the middle-aged woman.

However, just as the woman was about to get out of her seat, her husband sitting beside her reached out and held her back.

The man glared at the middle-aged woman with a sullen face and said in a low voice, ”Are you crazy? There’s a cockpit behind that door, and the hijacker is in there. How could it be your turn to handle such dangerous situations? Besides, you’re just an obstetrician. You’re not skilled in surgery. What can you do?”

The middle-aged woman hesitated upon hearing this.

The flight attendant was also very disappointed when she heard the middle-aged woman was an obstetrician.

At this moment, a man stood up and walked towards the cabin door, brushing past Huo Sining, who was also trying to stand up and head over to the flight attendant.

The man reached the curtain, and the flight attendant, upon seeing a man of average height wearing glasses and looking mature and reliable, immediately brightened up: ”Sir, are you a doctor?”

”Yes.” The man seemed to be in his thirties, with a square face. ”I’m a Ph.D. student studying abroad at Dongdu University, about to join Xiehe Hospital. My name is Jiang Hua, and I study Western clinical medicine. Here’s my professional qualification certificate.”

The flight attendant didn’t actually check his professional qualification certificate. Finding a doctor with a relevant specialty among the passengers was good enough. So upon hearing the man’s words, she nodded immediately and eagerly was about to lead him to the business class when she suddenly caught sight of Huo Sining standing behind him and froze: ”Dr. Jiang, is this young girl your assistant?”

Jiang Hua froze upon hearing this, turned around to look at Huo Sining with surprise, a trace of disdain flashing in his eyes, and shook his head saying, ”I don’t know this girl.”

”I’m an intern doctor.” Huo Sining smiled, noticing the flight attendant’s skeptical look, quickly told a small lie.

If she were to tell the flight attendant that she was a bioengineering student, she would probably be immediately dismissed. Earlier, when the incident happened abruptly, she was also muddled, but now that she had regained her clarity, she realized the security officer’s life was in danger, so she wanted to check the officer’s injuries. If no one else could save him, she could lend a helping hand.

Although she wasn’t a doctor, under such circumstances, the security officer was still very important. Moreover, since the security officer was injured while protecting the pilot’s safety, given her nature, she couldn’t just stand by.

The flight attendant wasn’t too satisfied upon learning Huo Sining was an intern doctor. Huo Sining hastily added, ”Although I lack experience, I’m still professionally trained. If Dr. Jiang needs help, I can assist.”

Seeing Huo Sining’s sincere expression, the flight attendant thought the girl’s words made sense. These flight attendants were all amateurs; if anything was really needed, they would be clueless and only able to busy themselves blindly. It was better to have this girl act as an assistant.

In dire times, people tend to seek any help available; the flight attendants were helpless and could only rely on the doctors aboard. Although this girl looked young, she was brave and enthusiastic. The flight attendant found it hard to refuse and thus nodded to let Huo Sining tag along.

However, the flight attendant secretly thought to herself that such young intern doctors are rare, as long as this girl doesn’t cause trouble, that’s enough. Not much could be expected from her.

The three quickly moved to the business class, where they immediately heard suppressed sobs. These were passengers from the business class who had been terrified after witnessing this abrupt change. Those who couldn’t hold it together were sobbing uncontrollably, each hiding under their seats without daring to move.

Yet at this moment, Huo Sining and her companions didn’t have time to worry about the responses from the cabin passengers because they immediately caught the intense smell of blood upon entering the business class. At the end of the aisle, near the cockpit door, the security officer lay in a pool of blood.

Jiang Hua disregarded everything else when he saw this, quickly rushing over to the security officer, crouching down to examine his injuries.

However, upon looking, his expression turned severe.

”The abdomen is wounded about three inches, but judging from the amount of bleeding, I’m afraid other internal organs are injured as well. Surgery must be done immediately to suture both the internal and external abdominal wounds. I don’t have the right surgical tools with me. Do you have any prepared here?”

The flight attendant was dumbfounded and brought out the first aid kit.

Jiang Hua rummaged through the first aid kit, his expression somewhat grave: ”There’s only external wound sutures and none of those organic sutures for internal organs?”

The flight attendant couldn’t differentiate between external or internal wound sutures, so she dumbly shook her head and asked, ”Is there a difference?”

Jiang Hua immediately furrowed his brows: ”Of course there’s a difference. Internal organ sutures must use absorbable sutures—materials that the body automatically absorbs after recovery. External sutures require removal after healing, but with internal injuries, it’s impossible to reopen the abdominal cavity to remove sutures once the wound has healed.”

The flight attendant’s complexion changed upon hearing this, almost crying as she said urgently, ”Then what do we do? The medical tools and medicines in the first aid kits are all we have. If it doesn’t work, we should use external sutures temporarily to save Brother Liu’s life. Dr. Jiang, please help him; we beg you!”

Jiang Hua’s brows were tightly knit. Such a situation had never occurred in his medical career. Using external sutures instead of internal sutures was against the medical principles he had learned. Therefore, upon hearing this from the flight attendant, his immediate inclination was to refuse, but desperate times call for desperate measures. The longer they delayed, the more life-threatening it would be for the security officer.

As Jiang Hua hesitated, the young girl who had been silently standing beside him suddenly squatted down, positioned herself in front of the security officer, and reached out to help.

Jiang Hua’s expression changed drastically, immediately stopping Huo Sining and sternly questioning, ”What are you doing?!”
