Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1066: Chapter 1062: Don’t Regret It

Huo Sining’s words were powerful and resounding, heard by both the students in the classroom and the people from the academic affairs office.

As soon as she spoke, the students in the classroom began to voice their dissatisfaction.

”Exactly, accusing someone of cheating in front of so many people is no small matter. If it turns out to be slander, this cannot just be let go!”

”Apologize. If it’s proven that Huo Sining was wronged, then Teacher Yongshan should apologize to Huo Sining!”

”I’ve never seen a teacher behave so aggressively towards a girl in front of so many people. Without evidence, we have reason to believe that Teacher Yongshan is deliberately targeting Huo Sining!”

”Right, Teacher Yongshan is being unreasonable, causing a scene during our proper examination affected our focus. If we fail because of this, Teacher Yongshan owes us an explanation too!”

”...”

A group of students was indignant, condemning Nagayama Kaiyuki, whose expression instantly darkened. Huo Sining’s composed demeanor irked Nagayama Kaiyuki, and in a moment of impulse, he rashly agreed to Huo Sining’s demand.

”Fine, if no evidence is found, it means I wrongly accused you. I, Nagayama Kaiyuki, will personally apologize to you! Is that enough?”

This was precisely what Huo Sining wanted. She lifted her head, glanced around at the other candidates, and said with a smile:

”It’s my fault that today’s incident delayed your time and affected the exam. I apologize. I also hope everyone can help oversee and testify that Teacher Yongshan has promised to apologize if I’m found innocent of cheating. Did everyone hear that?”

The students in the examination room responded energetically, ”Yes, we heard it!”

Huo Sining glanced at the infuriated Nagayama Kaiyuki before turning to Professor Aso. ”Professor, I’m willing to undergo your inspection and hope the two teachers can prove my innocence!”

After some discussion, two female teachers took Huo Sining into the restroom and closed the door. Ten minutes later, Huo Sining emerged with the two female teachers back into the exam room. Huo Sining appeared calm and poised, but the two female teachers looked serious, their eyes filled with anger.

Seeing the expressions of the two female teachers, Nagayama Kaiyuki assumed they found evidence. He immediately approached them, ”So, teachers, wasn’t I right? This girl has a bad attitude, cheats during exams, and refuses to admit it until evidence is presented. She just doesn’t shed tears until she sees the coffin...”

Nagayama Kaiyuki glanced sideways at Huo Sining, rambling on, placing himself on a pedestal while vehemently criticizing Huo Sining. Little did he know, before he finished speaking, the two female teachers interrupted angrily:

”Teacher Yongshan, you don’t need to continue. This was entirely an excuse on your part, wasn’t it? There were no cheating devices on Huo Sining, not even a cheat note! We don’t know what grudges you hold against this young lady, but as a teacher, targeting a girl like this is beyond excessive!”

Nagayama Kaiyuki’s face froze. He doubted his ears, incredulously asking, ”What did you say? No evidence found? How is that possible?”

The female teacher looked at Nagayama Kaiyuki with disdain, ”That’s the truth, Teacher Yongshan. Please stop making biased judgments. Accusing an innocent girl of cheating is a disgraceful act. Please, refrain from such actions!”

Nagayama Kaiyuki remained silent, but Huo Sining would not simply let it slide. She looked at him with a mocking smile, ”Teacher Yongshan, I hope you haven’t forgotten your previous promise!”

Upon hearing Huo Sining, the students in the classroom began to jeer.

”Yeah, didn’t Teacher Yongshan say he’d apologize?”

”He clearly wronged her, this can’t be ignored!”

”Bullying a female student, what’s the point? Why don’t you stand up to the police when you’re smuggling?”

”...”

Nagayama Kaiyuki’s nose was crooked with anger. He was, after all, a teacher, and getting beaten in the examination room by Huo Sining was bad enough. Now being asked to apologize was almost impossible, the most humiliating experience in his educational career.

Huo Sining had anticipated Nagayama Kaiyuki’s refusal to compromise. With his character, breaking a promise seemed trivial to him, not a sign of moral corruption.

Thus, she wasn’t surprised by his refusal to apologize and ignoring the students’ comments. She didn’t pursue it further but looked at him with a sinister smile, ”Teacher Yongshan, as a teacher, you should set an example with propriety, justice, integrity, and honor. Your actions leave me in a difficult position.”

Nagayama Kaiyuki gave Huo Sining a cold glance, feigning ignorance.

Huo Sining didn’t press further, only returning a cryptic remark, ”It’s alright if you don’t apologize. With several academic office teachers present, I’ve proven my innocence. I just hope Teacher Yongshan won’t regret today’s choices.”

After speaking, Huo Sining turned to Professor Aso, ”Professor Aso, the exam has been delayed by almost half an hour. What do you think...”

Professor Aso surveyed the surroundings and waved his hand, ”Continue with the exam, the duration for this exam room will be extended by half an hour.”

After this, Professor Aso glanced at Nagayama Kaiyuki, hesitated, then addressed Huo Sining, ”You can come to the academic office to take the exam. Since Professor Yoshiyama suspects you of cheating, we’ll oversee it personally.”

Professor Aso also looked at the answer sheet on Huo Sining’s desk with suspicion.

For Huo Sining, it didn’t matter where the exam was held, so after hearing Professor Aso, she nodded without hesitation, grabbed her test paper, and followed Professor Aso to the academic office.

Nagayama Kaiyuki watched Huo Sining’s back with a cold gaze, filled with resentment.

However, at this moment, Nagayama Kaiyuki was unaware that he had missed the last chance to make amends. His refusal to apologize would bring great trouble, and only after the events unfolded would he realize the meaning behind Huo Sining’s words, ”I hope you won’t regret today’s choice.” By then, it was too late for regrets.
