My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2286: Chapter 2119: Where to Begin

I really don’t know where to start with the bits and pieces between us. What has made us become like this?

”Qualification? Actually, that’s the last word that should come from your mouth, right? Since I gave birth to you back then, I have the qualification to make any decisions about your life. You have never regarded me as your father, so what right do you have to make me see you as my son?” Zhang Zhentian asked.

Zhang Yichen really couldn’t understand whether his father was lacking in mind or had an issue with his thinking. Such a simple problem, yet he still had to ask him.

”I don’t know what’s going on in your mind. I don’t know whether it’s due to your natural brain impairment or your acquired intellectual deficiency. Despite you giving birth to me back then, did you ever raise me? Did you ever say a single kind word to me? Did you truly love me? Have you never hurt me? Did you ever treat me as your biological son and not just for your benefit? Since you didn’t, do you think I qualify to criticize you as a father? You are a father, not an executioner. You should stand from your son’s perspective and think well about your son’s life, but you never did. Every decision you made for me always hurt me again and again. Perhaps for you, hurting me is normal, but do you know how much pain it brings to my heart? You have never considered my perspective regarding the kind of life I will face, the kinds of blows and sufferings I will experience because of every decision you make. You’ve never thought about it. You’re always self-important, thinking that as long as you make a decision, it’s the best for everyone, but you don’t know what I truly want. Perhaps in your eyes, my existence as your son is insignificant, but do you understand? You are my father. No matter what, I cannot change the fact that you are my biological father. Legally, by blood, I can’t change it, and I can only acknowledge you are my father, although I have recognized this fact countless times. So please don’t repeatedly use the identity of an executioner to hurt me as your son, okay? My mother decided to leave me, don’t say it has nothing to do with you, because I won’t believe it. My mother would never decide to do this unless someone made her completely lose heart!”

”In your eyes, is there only your mother? Can’t you manage without your mother? Do you think only your mother in this world loves you, and I, as your father, don’t love you? Do you know? Saying such things to your father makes your father feel very hurt, very painful. Have you thought about what kind of feeling I, as a father, have in my heart when you say these things? You’ve never considered me, so why should I consider you as my son? You can’t escape the fact that you’re my son for your whole life. Since that’s the case, why act here to say such warming words to me? Don’t you think saying this, you are being ridiculous?”

When Zhang Yichen heard his father’s words, he felt even more painful inside. It turns out that in his father’s heart, everything he said with sincerity and genuine feelings turned out to be just a facade. This made him a little bit unable to believe this sentence came from his biological father’s mouth, yet he had to admit this was indeed his biological father speaking. But what could he do? Why use such words to hurt his fragile heart once more? Is he really that insignificant in his father’s eyes as a son? Free to hurt, free to exploit as desired? In his father’s eyes, is his son only about benefits? Can he abandon his biological son repeatedly for benefits? Why? Why treat him like this? Why is the world so unfair? While others have happy families, why don’t I? While others receive love and care from their parents since childhood, why can’t I? Why must others’ parents, even apart from them, call to check? But where are my own parents? Never once did they offer a warm word. Why come back now to criticise?” 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

”I actually feel that the world is so unfair. We all are given the same parents, but why must other parents stay with their children, watching them grow, even though there are steps with bloody footprints, they still watch their children. But why won’t my parents, even back then when I was so small, spend more days by my side? Must they abandon me early, leaving me to wander alone in the world? Isn’t it because of me that I am the way I am today? Other parents cherish their children, not letting them suffer one bit, so where were my parents when I was suffering, did they come to comfort me? Not even once, because I don’t know where my parents are, they never appeared by my side. And I can only live in my dream of illusions, fantasizing that one day my mom and dad will stand in front of me, protecting me when I’m bullied. But now I realize it’s all just my illusion, like seeing a mirage in the desert! Why has the world given me this father, letting me suffer so much torture? Now I’m already a father myself, I have my own little family too, but I still can’t happily live my life. My mother sees me, but my father uses me as a pawn, so how can I accept this?”

Zhang Zhentian didn’t know how to answer his son’s questions. And yes, as a father, what right does he have to criticize his son? As a father, I have made so many mistakes. Is it really my fault this time?

This is not the ending we wanted to see. We’ve been through too much!
