My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2281: Chapter 2114: Conclusion

Reflecting on the moment I was forced out of my home, my heart has already been through an unimaginable torment, never imagining I would live such a difficult life.

”Remember this, from today, you have no relation to my son. If you dare appear around him again, I will not spare you. Since you’ve decided to leave him, do not appear in his life again because every time you appear, it only brings him misfortune. You’ve never brought him anything worth holding onto, but because of you, he’s been hurt time and again. I don’t wish for you to disturb the peaceful life he deserves. No matter how he turns out, it has nothing to do with you!” Xia Jing said to Ran Zhihan.

”Auntie, I want to visit him at the hospital. No matter what, he is in this state because of me. I have a certain responsibility, and I want to take care of him until he recovers and is discharged!”

”No need. Because every time you appear, it’s not a good thing for him. I don’t want you to disturb him again. He is now hospitalized and might never wake up. I also hope you don’t visit him again. Who knows what you might say if you go now? Do you know? The doctor says his brain is in this state due to severe trauma. He’s in a deep coma. Do you understand what that means? It means he might spend his life lying on a hospital bed. Because of you, he’s suffered greatly. Are you still not satisfied? How else do you want to hurt my son? How can your heart be so cruel? He was willing to leave his parents behind because of you, and yet you hurt him again and again, bringing him the most pain every time. Do you think that’s fair?”

Ran Zhihan began to cry: ”Auntie, I didn’t mean it. I didn’t know he would end up like this because of me. I really didn’t intend for this to happen. You know how much I love him. Seeing him like this pains me deeply too. Please let me visit him at the hospital. As long as he recovers and is discharged, I promise I won’t stay by his side anymore!”

Xia Jing pushed Ran Zhihan’s hand away: ”Do you want to wait until he wakes up just to cruelly abandon him again? You have two choices now. If you choose to care for him at the hospital until he recovers, then you must commit to never leaving him, to marry him, and bear children with him. If you decide you will leave him, then don’t appear in his life anymore. Otherwise, when he wakes up, he will again suffer the pain of your abandonment. This will show how heartless you truly are...”

”Auntie, I really cannot be with him. Please forgive me!”

”If that’s the case, then there’s nothing left to say. Don’t appear in my sight again, nor in my son’s life. Otherwise, I will make you pay a painful price, settling new and old scores alike. I no longer wish to bring up past grievances with you. I just hope heaven will be fair, letting my gentle son pass this danger and wake up. Even if he picks up his memories again, may he never regain them fully. I don’t want him to suffer repeated harm because of you, a venomous woman!”

Upon finishing her words, Xia Jing left, and Ran Zhihan hid away to cry. She genuinely had not expected Zhang Yichen to end up like this because of her. Her heart was restless; everything turned out this way because of her! She secretly ran to the hospital.

Ran Zhihan arrived at the hospital and saw her most beloved lying in bed. She pleaded for a long time before the doctor allowed her a glimpse into the intensive care unit. Seeing Zhang Yichen covered in tubes, she couldn’t help but cry.

”Yichen, I’m sorry. It’s all my fault. I caused you to become like this. You should hate me. How can you be so foolish? There are so many girls better than me in this world; why did you go to such lengths for me? I never truly intended to leave you. That day, as you cautiously pleaded with me, my heart had already softened. But then you said that you could manage without me, which angered me even more. It’s why I chose to spite you, to leave you as a joke. I didn’t expect my rash decision would result in such severe harm to you. I’m sorry, there’s nothing I can do now, myself. I just hope you can live happily. My greatest hope now is that you can wake up, open your eyes. I’m afraid you’ll scold me, hit me, hate me—but I wouldn’t mind, it’s my mistake. I must bear it. Because of me, you suffered so much. I’m sorry. If only you wake up, I’d be willing to stay by your side forever, walking forward together, as long as you don’t despise me! Actually, I left because I was afraid. I’m just an ordinary girl, afraid of being with someone from a wealthy family. There would be too many rumors that everyone would look down on you. I didn’t want to burden you. But I didn’t expect my decision would leave you in this state. Darling, I beg you, please wake up? Don’t just keep sleeping. What will I do if you remain this way? Who will marry me, put a wedding ring on my finger?”

Just then, unexpectedly, Xia Jing arrived at the hospital. She found a doctor, wanting to enter the ward. Entering the ward, she saw that woman, pulling Ran Zhihan out.

”You woman, didn’t I warn you in the daytime? How are you still haunting here? What are you doing at the hospital now? Isn’t it enough that he’s lying here because of you? What more do you wish him to become? Have a conscience. He treated you so well, willing to give up everything for you, even forsaking his family to be with you. But you? How have you treated him? I heard everything you said to him. Do you think any words you utter now still matter? You hurt him, hurt the man who loved you most. You have no right to stand here and say sweet words to him! A woman like you should be hit by a car the moment you step out. Why are you still here in this world? Did the heavens leave you here just to torment my son? Leave, you are not welcome here. If you dare come again, don’t blame me for being unkind. I’m telling you now, leave, leave, leave!”

”Auntie, please let me stay. I want to be by his side!”

”My son does not need a ruthless woman like you by his side, because you disgust me!”

Life can teach a person to do many things, so many that you cannot imagine.
