Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 596: Chapter 95: Chen Wen Who Wants to Be a Homebody

The production team side.

Greg repeatedly watched a video and finally paused at a specific frame.

In the picture, Chen Wen is holding a blood-dripping axe, one leg on the grizzly bear’s body, looking relaxed and at ease.

”The perfect cover!”

Greg couldn’t help but praise.

An assistant next to him saw the image and nodded in agreement, ”It’s a very impactful scene!”

”After this hunt, I consider Chen Wen’s combat ability to be in the top three in the world!”

Greg gently tapped the table, his eyes filled with admiration.

This is truly a remarkable contestant!

Others are either specialized or versatile but mediocre.

But Chen Wen is different.

He is versatile, yet by no means mediocre!

Whether it’s building shelters, maintaining camp, or hunting, he has virtually no weaknesses!

Extremely powerful!

Plus, his skills in taming animals make him truly unbeatable!

”There seems to be no suspense for the championship this time.”

Greg uttered a statement that shocked the assistant beside him.

The time hasn’t even reached halfway and the champion is already determined?

Since when did our director become so rash?

But thinking of Chen Wen’s achievements in the past days, the assistant nodded in agreement.

Unless something unexpected happens and Chen Wen gets injured and withdraws from the competition.

Otherwise, he is definitely the champion.

He’s got food, he’s got shelter.

The assistant couldn’t think of a scenario where Chen Wen would lose!

Compared to the somewhat excited Greg, the other staff members were shocked.

”When this ends, I want to become his apprentice!”

A black staff member’s eyes sparkled with yearning, ”This must be Hua Country’s kung fu! I want to learn it!”

Others, hearing this, also nodded excitedly.

Become an apprentice!

The scene of Chen Wen fighting the grizzly bear at close range with a long spear perfectly matches foreigners’ imaginations of ancient Hua Country’s generals!

”He is simply Zhao Yun!”

A staff member obsessed with the Three Kingdoms had already mentally dressed Chen Wen in silver-white armor.

”Huh? Zhao Yun? No, no, in my view, he’s Xiang Yu!”

”Nonsense, he’s clearly Lin Chong!”

A small group of staff obsessed with various era generals started arguing.

The production team was bustling, but the contestants’ assistants were much quieter.

Many of the contestants’ assistants’ expressions were almost frozen.

Chen Wen’s assistant, Lin Jiawei, was already grinning, reporting the situation to Liu Yu.

Victory is secured!

As long as no mistakes are made, the championship is within grasp!

This seems to be the first time a contestant from Hua Country has won the wilderness survival championship?

Lin Jiawei was almost laughing out loud.

If it weren’t for considering the feelings of the other contestants’ assistants, his laughter would have definitely blown the roof off!

And upon learning that Chen Wen hunted a grizzly bear, and in close quarters no less.

Liu Yu scratched his head, feeling a bit perplexed.

This kid... since when did he become so strong?

That’s a grizzly bear!

If he encountered it, unless it was deliberately ambushed.

Otherwise, he’d be running away!

This is too fierce!

Liu Yu took out a cigarette, sat on the bed, and took a couple of puffs.

Suddenly, he thought of the level 8 challenge.

Chen Wen is so fierce, if he were to cooperate with others recommended by the association for survival, would it hinder him?

Liu Yu was already starting to think about this issue.

...

Back on Chen Wen’s side.

He made some arrangements after the hunt.

This bear, he doesn’t plan to bring it back to the camp for now but just leave it here and consume it as needed.

Most animals have strong territorial consciousness.

This is especially true among bears.

So, there are unlikely to be any other living bears around Chen Wen’s shelter.

There won’t be many medium to large carnivores either.

The pack of gray wolves has been driven away, so there won’t be new wolf packs appearing for the time being.

As long as the Wolf Mink and the gray wolves take turns guarding the grizzly bear and drive away small animals trying to come close, the bear here is just like it’s at the shelter.

Chen Wen took advantage of the grizzly bear’s body not being completely frozen yet and used a hunting knife to skin it.

He also removed some of the bear’s innards.

The rest he gave to the Wolf Mink to fill their stomachs.

Leisurely heading back to the shelter, Chen Wen met up with the old wolf.

Seeing the fresh grizzly innards in Chen Wen’s hand, the old wolf’s eyes flashed, ”You killed that grizzly bear?”

”Yeah, it was pretty easy.”

Chen Wen nodded with a smile, feeling quite calm inside.

The preparation for hunting this grizzly bear was very thorough, with every step of the bear almost within his expectations.

Hence, the joy inside him was rather mild.

He said, ”Later, the Wolf Mink will return. You can discuss with them to take turns guarding the grizzly bear as before, eat the meat as you like.”

This surprised the old wolf.

What is going on?

Chen Wen put down the bear meat and skin and said, ”I have more than enough food now, hunting more is unnecessary, any fresh prey from future hunts can just be eaten by you all.”

In terms of food.

Chen Wen had already calculated on the way back.

The meat of this grizzly bear will be eaten by the animals, while part of the bear’s innards and head will be kept for himself.

Any fresh prey from future hunts will also be given to the animals.

Chen Wen himself would consume the previously stored food, easily lasting a hundred days.

Oh, after a few more days when the lake is firmly frozen, he can also go fishing and make some fish soup.

In short, Chen Wen felt very relaxed now.

All the goals for this survival have been completed, now he just needs to wait in the shelter until the survival ends.

”Hmm~ Time to live the life of a homebody, spend days fishing, improving the quality of life, and experimenting with different foods!”

Hearing this, the old wolf also sensed the relaxation in Chen Wen’s words.

It didn’t know that since the start of this survival, Chen Wen had been constantly anxious and extremely disciplined, staying busy until now.

There was almost no time to relax.

But now Chen Wen was completely relaxed.

He’s worked so hard on survival, it’s time to enjoy!

Continue playing music, continue dancing...

Forget it, better to sleep.

After placing the weapons in the shelter, Chen Wen decisively lay on the bed.

Time to rest!

...

Seeing Chen Wen suddenly start to take it easy, the production team side could more or less guess his intentions.

”Seems like it’s time to relax a bit.”

Lin Jiawei sighed, with indescribable emotions in his eyes, ”It’s obvious that ever since the start of this survival, Chen Wen’s nerves have been tense, and now with most survival tasks completed, he truly deserves a break.”

For almost a month, Chen Wen kept working at high efficiency.

If this intensity were placed on someone else, it would be unimaginable!

Next to him, Hua Yun’s assistant, Luo Yao, nodded in agreement.

She could also see that Chen Wen was indeed exhausted during this period.

”The hardest part has passed, and now what awaits him is a new dawn.”

Luo Yao unusually drew an analogy in literary terms.

All the contestants this time seemed to have quite a gap compared to Chen Wen.

It’s unknown who among the others will make a breakthrough and compete with Chen Wen, otherwise the championship would undoubtedly go to Chen Wen.
