Chapter 595: Chapter 94: Spear Hunting the Grizzly Bear

Pain, for creatures, is a double-edged sword.

Some animals, after feeling pain, will instinctively retreat and avoid it, thus saving their lives.

While others, upon feeling pain, will become furious and berserk, then either kill their enemy or be killed by their enemy.

The grizzly bear is the latter.

After being ambushed by Chen Wen once, the grizzly bear was completely enraged.

It no longer bothered with flashy tactics.

Accompanied by a frenzied roar, the grizzly bear fiercely charged at Chen Wen.

Chen Wen was already on guard in his heart.

He raised his long spear, with the metal spearhead aimed at the grizzly bear, obstructing its attack.

The grizzly bear dodged left and right, circling for a long time, trying to bypass the spear.

But Chen Wen was utilizing his skills[Swift], [Extreme Vision], and the newly acquired[Agile Posture].

What seemed like a fast and imposing grizzly bear.

In his eyes, it appeared like a slow-motion puppet wielding a hammer.

Although one hit from the hammer might kill Chen Wen, it couldn’t even touch him.

Darn, I thought too much.

Chen Wen easily turned the spearhead, once again blocking the grizzly bear’s attack path.

While dealing with the grizzly bear and consuming its stamina, he thought: Wish I’d known my reflexes were this sharp, I should’ve just grabbed a spear to fight the bear directly; it wouldn’t be able to touch me. I’d just leisurely wear it out, and when it’s exhausted, spear it to death.

With this thought, Chen Wen became bolder.

While the bear was resting briefly, he decisively drew a stone spear from behind.

As if to provoke the bear, he weighed the stone spear with his left hand, found the balance point, and tossed it lightly.

The stone spear pierced into the bear’s face, causing it to roar in anger.

Oh, the little fellow has lost its mind.

Seeing the bear completely ignoring its injuries and rushing over quickly.

Chen Wen’s eyes were resolute.

He planned to take a risk and expand his victory!

He deliberately left an opening, pausing his motion to let the bear get close.

Noticing the perfect opportunity, the grizzly bear immediately raised its front paw and slapped forward.

As the bear raised its front paw, swinging at him.

Chen Wen advanced instead of retreating.

He expertly avoided along the trajectory of the bear’s swinging paw, dodging it at the last second.

And while the bear was landing from its swipe.

[Pierce] activated.

Chen Wen aimed at the weak point at the grizzly bear’s rear leg joint and stabbed sharply.

[Stab] triggered.

The metal spear was already sharp, and with the amplification of [Stab].

Cutting through the bear’s flesh was like slicing through tofu with a hot knife.

With just one stab, he easily tore through the bear’s flesh, stabbing onto its bone.

Chen Wen twisted the spearhead with his hand, and under [Giant Strength], the spear sharpened.

This twist succeeded in turning the bear’s joint’s flesh and tendons into a mess.

The bear let out a series of moans.

Pain!

As the unequivocally strongest single combat unit in this forest, it had never experienced such pain.

Excruciating pain caused the grizzly bear to fall to the ground.

Chen Wen effortlessly avoided the bear’s turning bite, immediately pulling back.

Truly thrilling!

Chen Wen quietly wiped his sweat, taking a moment to adjust.

The bear’s claw almost tore his clothing!

If it wasn’t for his excellent control of his strength, he might have had his chest torn open by the bear.

But this adventure was worthwhile.

The spear had ripped through one of the bear’s hind legs, practically crippling it.

Taking advantage of the bear attempting to stand back up.

Chen Wen moved with agility, approaching the bear once more.

Targeting the joint of the other hind leg, waiting for the bear to rely on that leg to prop itself up.

He stabbed again.

But this time, Chen Wen did not succeed.

With the bear now wary, it rolled on the ground, dodging this attack.

The bear was utterly terrified.

The fear faded, and at this moment, the bear only wanted to escape.

It awkwardly stood up, limping on one leg, using the other three legs to support its body, hobbling away into the distance.

The speed was indeed compromised, but an ordinary person really couldn’t catch up.

Unfortunately, Chen Wen was not an ordinary person.

Seeing the bear fleeing.

He took a deep breath.

Then, Chen Wen raised the spear, aiming at the bear’s back’s weakness — the anus.

He took a deep breath, activating[Giant Strength].

His upper body slightly twisted to the side, exerting force through his waist, channeling immense power onto the spear.

The spear whistled as it flew out.

The sound was so heavy, the program team hearing it became quite alarmed.

What terrifying power is this!

And the bear, in its frantic escape, sensed a chill emanating from behind.

It intended to dodge, but before it could turn, the spear brutally pierced into its body through its rear.

Backdoor, one might chuckle at the notion.

But for the vast majority of land animals, this spot is undeniably a weak point!

This place connects to the intestines and is extremely fragile.

As long as you aim correctly, spearing it is nearly a guaranteed kill.

The bear was precisely that.

It only felt something piercing into its body, and then its intestines were shredded by the roaring spear.

Internal bleeding!

The bear felt as if a knife was twisting inside its belly, which was indeed the case.

It collapsed on the ground in agony, twitching before passing out.

Chen Wen approached, seeing the state of the bear, he took out an axe from his waist.

The Yukon has done this before, so it can’t be left out here.

Chen Wen thought to himself, moving near the bear’s head.

Then, he raised the axe, aiming at the bear’s neck, and hacked at the windpipe.

The bear awoke in pain, but soon, with waves of suffocation and excruciating pain, it met its ultimate death.

Chen Wen extracted the axe from the jammed bone, his expression somewhat awkward.

”Haven’t used an axe in a while; I’m rusty. Didn’t chop it off this time.”

Chen Wen scratched his head, not bothering to continue beheading the bear.

He circled to the back of the bear’s body and withdrew the spear.

Next time, make sure to clean the spear thoroughly, and also clean this bear’s meat.

With such thoughts, Chen Wen looked up at the eagle hovering overhead, following him all along. ”Let them come; we’ve won!”

The eagle flapped its wings, calling out loudly: ”Victory! Victory!”

With a smile, Chen Wen slung the still-bleeding axe over his shoulder, placing one foot on the bear’s body.

He no longer worried about the smell of blood attracting other predators.

Because after killing the grizzly bear, gray wolf, and black bear.

He had become the top predator of this region, standing at the pinnacle of the food chain!

”Speaking of the North American gray wolves...”

Chen Wen scratched his head, remembering two unprocessed North American gray wolves stored in his shelter.

Previously, out of consideration for the old wolf, Chen Wen refrained from harming them.

But after this battle, if the old wolf has no complaints, those two North American gray wolves will be dealt with.

As Chen Wen pondered various trivial matters, a wolfmink and a red fox excitedly rushed over.

Before Chen Wen could speak, the wolfmink bit into the North American grizzly bear.

Taking several bites, it yelled: ”Damn you! Teaching you for bullying me before! I’ll bite you to death!”

Goodness, where did it learn such foul language?

Chen Wen shook his head helplessly, sheathing the axe back at his waist.

After a successful hunt, there were still matters to attend to.
