Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 597: Chapter 428: Dragapult Breeding_2

Dreepy remained somewhat reserved, while its brother was already drooling all over the food.

The only thing stopping this little guy from diving in was the stern gazes from Aggron and Hydreigon nearby.

Fortunately, Baimu approached the younger Dreepy, blocking the view of the two intimidating behemoths.

”No need to wait, go ahead and eat. Afterward, we’ll discuss your issues.”

He chuckled as he pushed the food bowl closer to the two.

”Squee-ah!”

The younger Dragapult exclaimed with delight, growing fonder of the stranger, and buried its entire head in the food. This fortunate creature, a Ghost Attribute Pokémon, didn’t need to breathe; otherwise, this posture would surely be suffocating.

Meanwhile, Dreepy noticed what Baimu had said.

It realized it couldn’t understand him, even after reading this human’s eyes yesterday. Today, everything seemed obscured.

Why?

Dreepy ate with apprehensive emotions.

Eventually, other Pokémon joined the feast, with Milotic eating while glancing at the Trainer and the two Dreepys, initially thinking they were new companions.

But now it seemed like the Trainer was still at the recruitment stage, possibly not having caught them yet.

Milotic contemplated helping the Trainer, considering he appeared fond of these two little ones.

Hmm.

Maybe the Trainer had already made plans without its input.

Milotic looked around at the other companions and found similar expressions, likely sharing the same thought.

Except for Corsola.

As a firsthand traveler of the Spirit Realm, Corsola distinctly knew the Trainer might be more worried about that larger Dragapult.

The expression during a fight clearly showed displeasure.

But it wasn’t much related to Corsola.

Lacking the means to make Dragapult obedient, the Trainer should solve the issue himself.

Corsola’s smoke-like tentacles blinked in and out, clearing the food in the bowl rapidly before comfortably heading back to the room, casting a subtle glance at Hydreigon before departing.

Since reporting, it hadn’t been gnawed again, something that should be a happy occasion but felt strangely desolate.

Madness, indeed!

At times, Corsola suspected it was influenced by Hydreigon; otherwise, why think such odd things, deciding on rewarding itself with premium sleep for a hard night’s work.

Unbeknownst to it, upon entering the room, Hydreigon grinned while munching.

The Trainer frequently bought it chew toys.

Honestly, they’re not as satisfying as Corsola.

But the Trainer wouldn’t allow it to gnaw, leaving Hydreigon to hold back all along. Perhaps sneaking in a bite during the night?

No, no.

Being caught by Corsola, this fellow would report!

After contemplating, Hydreigon suddenly glanced at Milotic nearby, recalling it learned Hypnosis Techniques?

Hmm...

Maybe a plan could be hatched.

——

As an ordinary Trainer.

Baimu couldn’t constantly focus on every Pokémon, naturally unaware of Hydreigon’s little schemes.

And as Corsola thought, he was preoccupied with Dragapult’s dilemma.

A Pokémon with deep-seated hostility towards humans.

Miss Joy informed him yesterday, suspecting it might have been abandoned by humans—quite a common occurrence, with Pokémon’s combat power being less than ideal. In front of pragmatic Trainers, however rare, they might face abandonment.

Moreover, according to Baimu’s research online last night, within the Galar Region, Dreepy didn’t seem particularly rare, being a Pokémon that might appear by circulating the graveyards at midnight.

A collection of problematic Pokémon, indeed.

While sighing, Baimu also pondered possibly practicing Dragon’s Heart.

Given Dragapult, if abandoned, then understanding its past and resolving its past hurdles becomes crucial.

Dragon’s Heart incidentally possesses the ability to explore Dragon-type Pokémon’s rough memories.

But then... being abandoned?

If he hadn’t seen Dragapult’s panel, he’d possibly be more convinced.

[Pokémon: Dragapult]

[Attribute: Dragon + Ghost]

[Gender: Male]

[Height: 301cm / 52kg]

[Trait: Ever-Pure Body]

[Level: 69]

[Moves: Lightning Flash / Dragon Breath / Tenacious Pursuit / Lock-On / Misfortune Never Comes Alone]

[High-speed Movement / Rapid Return / Dragon Dance / Hidden Spirit Strike / Dragon’s Pulse]

[Dragon Dive / Dragon Arrow / Shadow Clone / Rush / Water Cannon]

Holding fifteen moves plus the extreme ability value panel of dual attack and speed that Baimu saw, saying it’s like he’s used effort value medicine in the game, he’d believe it.

The combat power is undoubtedly solid.

If such a Pokémon were abandoned, it would only possibly be before it had grown strong.

And judging by its level, it had evolved into Dragapult quite some time ago. What about its partners?

Baimu looked at the younger Dragapult, devouring food, forming a fundamental answer in his heart.

The Dreepy clan is exceptionally distinctive among many Pokémon.

In terms of nurturing the next generation, they closely resemble Kangaskhan yet have disparate circumstances.

This also involves Galar Region trainers not cultivating such Pokémon for particular reasons.

Reasons include:

Firstly, Dreepy’s growth cycle doesn’t differ much from Deino, recalling in the game, it’s just off by three to four levels.

Secondly, nurturing one necessitates nurturing many unless foregoing evolution.

Within the animation setting, when Dreepy evolves into Drakloak, it independently seeks Dreepy from the graveyard on its head for nurturing, marking its origin as a caretaker Pokémon.

Indeed, evolution doesn’t abruptly place a Dreepy atop Drakloak’s head; the same applies to Dragapult.

”Partners” are independently found.

After partners coincidentally evolve, they again seek new partners. Meanwhile, the evolved partner also seeks new ones, escalating from intent of nurturing one to inadvertently nurturing a group.

How about not seeking partners?

Naturally, not an option.

According to reliable researches, Drakloak or Dragapult with Dreepy partners are entirely distinct in psychological and physical health compared to without.

Thus, for most Trainers, Dragapult’s kin represents tedious and demanding nurturing Pokémon, only tackled by daredevils or the well-off.

Baimu indeed has wealth but isn’t reckless.

Destined circumstances leave him helpless, though heaven grants not only Dragapult but also pairs it with Dreepy.

The objective then becomes persuading Dragapult and alluring both Dreepys to join.

No, wait.

First allure these two Dreepys into the team.

Baimu gazed at the most acquainted Dreepy, distinguished as Sister Dragapult, being the only female among the three Dreepy.

To differentiate from the other, he named it Sister Dragapult.

Contrarily, called Brother Dragapult.

Acquaintances certainly ease persuasion, combined with Brother Dragapult depicting reliance on Sister Dragapult as a fulcrum, probably securing Sister Dragapult lessens complications with Brother Dragapult.

Though... informing Furong becomes essential.

Dreepy ultimately came with Furong, even if likely unopposed to his capturing Dreepy, the customary notification remains essential.

Consequently, he messaged Furong, asking about her residence, expressing desire to discuss Dreepy matters.

Originally thinking she wouldn’t reply, planning to ask Bonnie’s room.

Unexpectedly, she replied shortly after.

[Baimu should handle it personally.]”

”...Hmm?”

Baimu paused, sensing Furong might be shirking responsibilities.

Intent on replying, Brother Dragapult finished its meal, growling for another bowl, though looking at its belly suggested difficulty fitting more.

Sister Dragapult similarly finished her plate, showing slightly more restraint.

Observing this, Baimu inquired, ”Having finished eating, any plans?”

Brother Dragapult completely incomprehensible, settled atop Baimu for a nap, while Sister Dragapult appeared puzzled, seemingly understanding some parts.

Porygon II couldn’t sit back, promptly assuming the translation duty.

Instantly comprehending, Sister Dragapult observed Brother Dragapult napping on Baimu’s head, briefly pondered before flying atop it, stacking themselves again.

The attitude was conspicuous.
