Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 573: Chapter 418: Special Talents

Whoa, what the heck?

What’s going on?

Lairon, covered in a brown-yellow airflow, had Donphan a bit panicked.

Could it really learn just by watching once? Does such a thing exist in the world? Is this guy just fooling me and the Trainer on purpose?

Tetsuya, watching from the side, was also surprised and said: ”Baimu, your Aggron—”

”Shh!”

Baimu pressed his forefinger to his lips, looking delightedly at Aggron, which was completely engulfed by Rock Attribute Energy. Prior to this, Aggron hadn’t mastered any contact-based rock moves, so what it unleashed was definitely the Double-bladed Head Hammer.

Charge!

Charge, Big Monster!

He stared intensely at Aggron; since successfully achieving Super Evolution, their mutual understanding no longer relied on verbal cues. Even if he stood silently, Aggron could still perceive his presence, his thoughts.

And so.

”Gugh!!”

Like a giant, glowing meteor, Aggron surged forward with an apparent terrifying momentum that seemed capable of sweeping up houses!

The sand was cleaved into a deep trench, and the fierce wind mixed with dust roared with a sound capable of blowing away the two spectators!

The air trembled incessantly, emitting a terrifying rumble!

”What a frightening power!”

Tetsuya’s expression changed, with Meowth already quietly leaning alongside the crouching Donphan; the wind was too strong for its small, thin frame to withstand without being blown away.

Being blown away would just be disgraceful.

”Meowth!”

”Thunk!”

The duo let out cries drowned in the rumble, only having felt such energy storms similar to a typhoon in battles against the Four Heavenly Kings.

Is this guy possibly a Four Heavenly King from another region?

They couldn’t help but glance at the ecstatic Baimu.

In the arena.

The magnificent boulder flew across most of the battle field horizontally, only exploding into a sky filled with light particles at the far edge, revealing Aggron wrapped in swirling rage within.

”Well done! You nailed it, Aggron!”

Baimu rushed over immediately, while the silver-armored Big Monster panted, showing an equally excited smile.

Suddenly.

”Gugh... oh...”

Just as Aggron took a step, its massive form suddenly kneeled halfway to the ground, its breathing growing harsh.

Baimu’s heart tightened; he halted his sprint and leaned beside it to carefully check its condition, ”What’s wrong?”

The Double-bladed Head Hammer certainly had immense power, but not to the extent that Aggron should be gasping heavily. Considering both its Attribute Energy and stamina.

Combining the fact that it learned Double-bladed Head Hammer after just one glance, something he was unaware of had definitely occurred.

Perhaps the fatigue from prior Super Evolution wasn’t fully recovered?

Learning such a powerful move right after a battle was indeed a bit forced... It shouldn’t be, he had initially confirmed Aggron’s status, and clearly, it shouldn’t have been the case.

”Gugh.”

Aggron lifted a paw and shook its head, indicating nothing was wrong; it just suddenly felt a bit tired.

Donphan looked at Aggron’s panting appearance, feeling somewhat appalled.

Is move-learning that exhausting?

Well, it is, but not to the point of being worn out after just one use! What’s really going on here!

Donphan’s limited brain capacity was nearly baffled by Aggron.

Meowth felt similarly puzzled; it had previously found Aggron a bit alarming, but now only felt—could this guy be all show with no substance?

Both Pokémon’s expressions and emotions were extremely complex.

As the Trainer, Tetsuya didn’t ponder too much, sincerely suggesting: ”How about we get it checked at the Pokémon Center. Just to be safe!”

”...Okay!”

Baimu agreed.

Rather than guessing here, it was better to go to the Pokémon Center for a look.

But such an anomaly must be related to Imitation Vanilla; could it be that the correct usage of Imitation Vanilla doesn’t involve consumption? Was there a discrepancy in Dr. Kukui’s paper?

No.

Dr. Kukui’s paper didn’t describe any instant learning situations, typically taking several days to gradually master.

Baimu’s thoughts were messy; he gently comforted Aggron and put it away.

Suddenly, a buzzing sound came from the side.

He turned to look and found Tetsuya somehow had brought a rural electric tricycle, often used for transporting produce to the city, with Meowth sitting beside him, Donphan most likely returned inside.

”Hop on!”

”Got it!”

Baimu jumped into the cart, thinking it was probably Tetsuya’s family vehicle for hauling goods.

Not long after.

They arrived at the nearby Pokémon Center.

He handed Aggron to the smiling Miss Joy, frowning slightly as he sat across from Tetsuya.

”Don’t stress too much on yourself; Aggron will definitely be okay.” Tetsuya consoled.

”Hm? Yeah...”

Baimu nodded in response, then said: ”It might be the fatigue from the prior Gym Battle, but it likely also relates to Imitation Vanilla. Normally, my Aggron couldn’t have learned Double-bladed Head Hammer so easily.”

If it were Hydreigon, perhaps it’d be possible; one knows their own Pokémon best.

Aggron is the type with limited learning abilities, often learning moves incorrectly. Initially, it was supposed to learn Rockslide, ended up learning Rock Lock; meant to learn Earthquake but learned only Stomp; tried learning Heavyweight Charge but ended with High Horsepower... and so on.

The only relatively smooth occurrence perhaps was the Dragon Dive, driven by competitiveness with Deino.
