Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 556: Chapter 410: ”Evil” Doctor_2

The latter looked down at the phone, and after a few seconds, Mawile took it and pressed its mouth against the lock screen side button for a while. The phone screen quickly lit up, and it slipped inside.

Mawile realized the phone wasn’t broken, heaved a sigh of relief, ”Tchido~”

If such an expensive item broke on the second day, it would really be hard to explain to the Trainer.

Baimu finished washing up and came out, just in time to see Mawile playing enthusiastically with the phone, so he went over to remind it, and also reminded the Porygon in the phone.

Both were a bit dumbfounded upon hearing this.

Zeroth Machine? Lure away Porygon?

Nearby, Aggron also leaned over to listen and showed a thoughtful expression, saying it explained why Porygon suddenly appeared mysteriously yesterday.

So this is what happened.

”In any case, stay alert, especially Porygon. If it really is Zeroth Machine, it probably has intentions toward you. You must resist its temptation! Be sure to guard the home network issues! Don’t be corrupted by the enemy’s sugar-coated artillery!”

He advised earnestly.

Mawile nodded in agreement. Without Porygon, it wouldn’t be able to operate the phone.

”Pa-lee~”

Porygon’s response came from the phone’s speaker.

The other Pokémon were also informed about what happened. Although explaining to them was quite troublesome due to varying levels of comprehension, at least it gave each Pokémon a heads-up.

——

Mauville Food Square

Come and Come Pavilion.

Baimu purposely went there for breakfast.

He thought he’d be able to eat nostalgic food like dumplings, soy milk, and fried dough sticks, but the shop regretfully told him they only had dumplings—or rather, pan-fried dumplings.

Not even porridge and pickled vegetables.

”That’ll do.”

He nodded helplessly, rejecting the suggestion to order fried rice.

Who eats fried rice early in the morning?

Maybe it’s because he hasn’t had pan-fried dumplings for a long time, he actually found them pretty tasty, though the dipping sauce was quite thin, the vinegar was like water, and the chili lacked flavor.

This deserves a bad review!

Vinegar-dressed Toedscool paired with Little Cucumber was surprisingly delicious. The semi-transparent thin slices actually gave a texture similar to jellyfish—crunchy and fun to chew.

Last night, he looked up Toedscool, this Pokémon species, and found out through categorization it got turned into the Mushroom Pokémon, walking with tentacles, looking quite bizarre when they move quickly.

The designers from Scarlet & Violet are truly geniuses.

But as long as it’s delicious, it’s fine.

Baimu and Porygon enjoyed their meal happily, occasionally picking a few dumplings and mushrooms for Mawile sitting across, which watched cartoons while eating, not minding its greasy mouth, with an unusually serious demeanor.

He increasingly felt like he had just bought a video player for Mawile.

Around ten in the morning.

Dr. Akihabara arrived smoothly at Mauville Station, Baimu went to pick him up and discovered the former carrying a heavy large box, panting heavily.

”What’s this?”

He took it over, stunned by the weight of the box.

”This is a computer I specially designed for capturing Zeroth Machine!”

Dr. Akihabara chuckled, looking around, confusedly asking, ”Where’s your car?”

”I’m not even an adult yet, where would I have a car.”

Baimu shook his head, raising his hand to hail a taxi, but noticed Dr. Akihabara was staring at him in shock, ”Uh, what’s wrong?”

”You’re underage?! I always thought you were an adult!” The latter’s tone was full of disbelief.

He shrugged, noncommittal.

Got in the car.

Baimu initially wanted to take Dr. Akihabara to Li Mauville, which is his residence, but Dr. Akihabara mentioned he has acquaintances in Mauville City, and that household electricity couldn’t meet the computer’s power needs.

This statement only made him more interested in the large, heavy computer.

In a blink of an eye, they arrived at a research institute on the outskirts of Mauville City.

At the entrance, a young man in a white coat was waiting, who came up to them immediately upon seeing them.

”Dr. Akihabara!”

The young man introduced himself, ”I’m the assistant Rice Village, Dr. Nasu specifically assigned me to assist you—And who is this?”

Before Baimu could answer, Dr. Akihabara replied thoughtfully, ”This is my assistant Baimu! Let’s skip the chatter and quickly take us to a safe place!”

He was already eager to capture Zeroth Machine.

Rice Village dropped the idea of giving them a tour of the research institute, leading them into a gleaming white research room, where the large hollow black box in the middle caught Baimu’s attention.

”Oh wow! This is it! The miniature electromagnetic shield device!”

Dr. Akihabara’s eyes lit up, walking up to touch the hollow box, ”With this, we won’t have to worry about Zeroth Machine running away! It’s fantastic!”

This thing... doesn’t it look like the machine Zaobu used to capture Nebby?

Baimu glanced at the box, aside from being larger in size, there didn’t appear to be much difference, provided his memory wasn’t faulty.

Opened the luggage.

A desktop tower resembling an oversized case came into view.

Under Dr. Akihabara’s guidance, he connected the tower using existing computer components in the research room and successfully powered it on. When various indicator lights flashed, a wave of sci-fi sensation rushed over.

Looking aside, he saw Dr. Akihabara constantly pulling out Pokeballs, pulling out about six, each opening in turn.

Bang bang bang bang bang bang——

Light flashed continuously.

Five rounded Porygon II appeared, compared to the angular devolved Porygon, Porygon II only featured curves and no corners on its body.

From one extreme to the other.

But what caught Baimu’s attention was the one at the back, the one whose body flipped, head separated from the torso, and whose yellow eyes seemed somewhat strange—Porygon Z.

”Is this... No.1 Machine?”

”That’s right!”

Dr. Akihabara nodded with confidence, laughing, ”I’ve modified the patch program inside the No.1 Machine N number of times, adding a hunter program!”

”...Hunter program?”

”I specifically developed the program to capture Zeroth Machine. Back when Zeroth Machine was taken and misused by Rocket Team, I wrote the first version of the hunter program for No.1 Machine, enabling it to assist a bunch of kids in capturing Zeroth Machine. I’m confident it’ll be successful this time too!”

Dr. Akihabara spoke with conviction.

But the more he said so, the more Baimu felt something was bound to go wrong, because this person always managed to create some outlandish stuff.

He was the one who developed the device to transmit humans into computer space, if he hadn’t, none of this would have happened. Zeroth Machine perfected the suspicious patch to achieve ultimate evolution into Porygon Z also under his tacit approval.

In short, this man has quite the guts.

Baimu looked at those neatly lined up like troops, accepting No.1 Machine Porygon Z’s inspection, Porygon II’s, increasingly uncertain.

Soon the operation began.

Dr. Akihabara said he had contacted Mauville City’s cybersecurity department, which permitted him to act against Zeroth Machine, which alleviated a concern from Baimu’s mind.

The army to capture Zeroth Machine advanced toward Mauville City’s network space.

To ensure No.1 Machine wouldn’t take the opportunity to escape, Dr. Akihabara used his specially crafted computer to leave a recognition system inside the network space. Anytime Zeroth Machine attempted through any information port, a response would trigger.

”Is... is this legal?”

Baimu questioned tentatively upon hearing Dr. Akihabara’s bragging.

Since it sounded like leaving a backdoor on someone else’s computer.

Dr. Akihabara’s voice halted but promptly started again, naturally glossing over Baimu’s question.

Good heavens!

This doctor is really gutsy!

Baimu couldn’t help but look at Rice Village, were he to report them... Hmm? Why do you look so smug and have a worshiping expression?

Wow!

These two people!

”No worries, I’ve authorized Akihabara Lord with Officer Jenny’s authorization.” A sudden voice sounded behind him.

Baimu turned around to see an elderly man with a white beard.

”Dr. Nasu!”

Dr. Akihabara’s cry reached his ears, confirming the person’s identity.

[Nasu Kei], the owner of the research institute, did not appear in the original animation but was Da Mu’s college friend at Yuhong University.

Primarily researching the three Super Ancient Pokémon of Hoenn Region—

Online sources indicate Dr. Nasu has ties with both Magma Team and Ocean Team.
