Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 575: Chapter 419: Conquering the World

”Be sure to come back, Brother Baimu!”

Yuuzi’s eyes were filled with tears as she held the utterly dejected Meowth in her arms.

Cats are creatures that show respect to the elder, love the young, and pummel anyone in between. Pokémon cats are no different. So even though it once helped Tetsuya achieve victory in the Hoenn Region tournament, its status at home is still below Yuuzi.

Poor thing.

Baimu withdrew his sympathetic gaze from Meowth, waved to Yuuzi with a smile, bidding farewell.

Although the way she addressed him was a bit striking, she was merely a young fan, and a very obedient one at that. When he said he wasn’t used to such a title, she immediately changed it.

Cuter than those rebellious little ghosts who insist on contradicting you.

After experiencing Tetsuya’s hospitality,

the night had already fallen deeply.

Tetsuya insisted on riding that electric tricycle to take him back to New Mauville, claiming that there were very few rentals nearby.

”...”

Baimu confirmed with Porygon II that there were no ride-sharing apps in the Pokémon World, grudgingly accepting Tetsuya’s kindness. Without a normal means of transportation, in a city where riding Pokémon is prohibited, he had no choice but to walk.

There was nothing else he could do.

”Next year when my parents return, I’m planning to travel to the Carlos Region.”

On the road.

Tetsuya said, ”I heard there’s a magical power over there that can elevate my Pokémon further. I don’t know if you’ve heard about it.”

”Super Evolution?”

Baimu asked amidst the wind.

”Yes. At present, the Four Heavenly Kings of the Hoenn Region and the current Champion all possess this power. If we want to defeat them, it’s indispensable.”

”Hmm!”

”As far as I know, Super Evolution already exists in the Hoenn Region, but I have no clue how to obtain it. Coincidentally, I plan to travel to Carlos, so I might as well try my luck while I’m there.”

”Try your luck...”

Baimu recalled how after the end of the XY saga, Ailan found a vein with the same components as the Super Stone in the Ice Cave, and after that, in Sun and Moon, Xiaogang and Xiaoxia both gained the ability for their Pokémon to undergo Super Evolution.

Although these two events might not be linked, he boldly speculated.

Setting aside Xiaogang, who is no longer a Gym Leader, it’s possible that Xiaoxia’s Super Stone and Key Stone came from the League’s mining of the vein, which provided many Super Stones and Key Stones to Gym Leaders like Xiaoxia.

Of course, this was just speculation.

But the existence of the vein undeniably increases Tetsuya’s chances of obtaining a Key Stone and Super Stone during his journey.

The need to prepare for Super Evolution becoming ”commonplace” in two years was evident...

As Baimu thought about this, his body suddenly twisted sharply, and the electric tricycle underneath him took a big turn in another direction.

”Eh? What’s happening?”

”...Officer Jenny is up ahead.” Tetsuya’s voice suddenly became very sheepish.

”...”

He looked at this guy’s backside and said eerily, ”Don’t tell me you don’t have a tricycle license.”

”I have one... but it’s not the right category.” Tetsuya responded weakly.

”What the heck do you mean, ’not the right category’? Don’t ride it casually if it’s not yours!”

”I’m working on it, I’m working on it!”

”You—”

Baimu only felt an itch in his teeth. How is this any different from not having a license? And why was it not the right category? Shouldn’t you either get a license based on the tricycle you have or buy a tricycle based on your license?

This guy is definitely a Ghost Fire kid in training!

Luckily, Tetsuya ultimately managed to deliver him safely to Li Mauville. As for whether he’d get caught on his way back... that, Baimu was unsure of. If he were caught, it might just make the news.

[Shocking! League Champion ”Rides without a License”! Officer Jenny to the Rescue!]

He hoped not to see this headline in the morning news.

In his heart, Baimu prayed for Tetsuya, and on his way back to his room, he once again encountered Celestial King Bonnie who was about to leave, but unfortunately, neither had any intention of stopping to talk. They nodded to each other and went their separate ways.

Though the former really wanted to have a battle with the Celestial King, his current state was not ideal. It was better to go to bed early to prepare for tomorrow’s departure.

What he didn’t know was this.

Bonnie quietly left Li Mauville and walked straight to a dark corner of a nearby park. She surveyed her surroundings and said loudly,

”What are you up to again, Furong?”

”Hehehe...”

A sharp, eerie laugh echoed, and a pair of sinister red eyes and an exaggeratedly wide mouth slowly appeared behind her, coalescing into a frightening ghost face amidst the swirling winds that made one’s hair stand on end.

Bonnie slightly tilted her head, and out of the corner of her eye, she caught the ghostly face’s reflection, her aloof expression unfaltering.

”If you keep playing these boring hide-and-seek games, I’m leaving.”

”No, don’t! Bonnie~”

The ghostly face flickered suddenly, transforming into a bright and charming face, with sea-blue eyes as splendid as the finest sapphires.

Then,

a short-haired girl dressed in a southern costume moved onto the gravel path under the streetlight, pink flowers adorning either side of her head, her healthy tan skin radiating an unspeakable vitality.

Unquestionably, she was none other than Furong, another one of the Hoenn Region’s Four Heavenly Kings with an expertise in Ghost Attributes, with the towering Dusknoir standing protectively behind her.

She threw herself onto Bonnie, hugging her affectionately, ”Long time no see! I knew you would definitely come!”

”Suddenly showing up in Mauville City, and then suddenly asking me to pick you up—what’s this all about?” Bonnie coolly pried her off.

”Well, there are many reasons—”

”Hmm?”

”Alright, alright, I’m here to help find a child. A poor sister accidentally lost track of a kid.”
