Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 581: Chapter 422: Spirit Realm Entrance

One sentence made Baimu’s hair stand on end.

Soul?

What soul?

Could this guy possibly—

While his mind was racing, he tried to say something, only to find Furong had already leaned in, murmuring, ”Sorry, let me take a closer look,” as she stood on tiptoe, almost face to face, observing his eyes at a distance close enough to feel each other’s breath.

The moment was fleeting, perhaps only two seconds.

As Baimu frowned and stepped back two paces, Furong also lowered her heels, her brows filled with a rich smile and curiosity.

”Hmm~ I knew I wasn’t wrong. Your soul—shines like a silver light of a snowy mountain and gathers an aura like a halo, it’s so unique and beautiful~ What’s your name?”

At this moment.

Bonnie, standing behind him, first greeted him.

”Baimu!”

”...Queen Bonnie.”

Baimu’s frown slightly relaxed, quickly nodding in greeting to her, and his heart sighed with relief.

Although the two have long become one and indistinguishable, it might be some mysterious awakening of latent wisdom, but suddenly hearing this scared him quite a bit.

Fortunately, he was overthinking.

When Furong heard his name, her face’s curiosity quickly turned to delight, and she said, ”So you’re Baimu! Da Wu is always mentioning you to me~”

Mr. Da Wu! Just how many people have you talked about me with!

So talkative!

Baimu’s heart churned endlessly, completely not expecting Furong, who appeared mature and elegant in the special edition, to seem so ”naive” in the anime context.

Then his gaze fell upon the manager standing at the end.

Though Furong and Bonnie’s actions mostly related to the Pokémon he later acquired, rather than asking muddled questions, it was better to proceed with the existing clues.

”Hello, there’s something I’d like to consult with you.”

He bypassed Bonnie directly to the manager’s side.

”Uh, me?”

The chubby manager was stunned, glanced at the two Celestial Kings, and then pointed to himself.

”Yes, I wonder if you have any impressions of room 1608?” Baimu nodded, observing the manager’s expression.

Unbeknownst to him, upon hearing about this room, the manager’s face changed drastically, and he resolutely said, ”1608? What 1608! Mauville Mountain Hotel has no such room!”

Hmm...

What’s with this ’I know but won’t tell you’ attitude?

Acting like they’re in a drama?

Baimu looked at the manager, who appeared grim yet couldn’t leave due to Furong and Bonnie’s presence, feeling rather speechless; the saying ”there’s no silver here” couldn’t be more apt.

Nearby, Furong looked at the manager, suddenly saying, ”Huh? Your soul seems to be trembling; is there something up with this room 1608? Perhaps it’s a room you’re deliberately concealing?”

Bonnie didn’t speak but cast a cold glance.

”Wha-what problem, there’s absolutely no problem!”

The middle-aged man hurriedly waved his hand and suddenly became hard-hearted, ”Besides! Even if you two are Celestial Kings, you have no right to randomly point fingers at the hotel, right?

”We’ve tried our best to cooperate with your actions; what’s the point of finding nothing? If we keep on, it’ll hinder business, and I’m going to complain to the Alliance!”

Although he seemed to go on a tirade, his weak tough appearance was unmistakable to the three present.

Truly easy to understand.

But given how he’s acting, it’s clear ordinary methods won’t easily get information out.

Baimu looked at Bonnie and Furong, hoping these two could come up with a way to pry room 1608’s details from the manager.

Unexpectedly, upon hearing the manager threaten to complain to the Alliance, they had the intent to retreat.

”Uncle, you truly are hard to deal with.”

Furong sheepishly scratched her face, looking quite troubled.

Bonnie furrowed her brow, gracefully raised the sides of her dress, nodded, and bowed, ”Then let’s leave it at that for now; thank you for your assistance.”

It’s over?

Scared off by just one word?

Baimu didn’t expect the word ’complaint’ to have such power; when his gaze shifted to the manager, he too appeared surprised, likely also not anticipating his frantic and unintended remark would fend off the two Celestial Kings.

It’s indeed unrealistic to rely on others.

Now, it’s up to searching information online...

As he pondered, Furong’s voice sounded next to him.

”Lord Baimu! It’s getting late; come eat with us! I have many things to ask you~”

”Mm.”

He looked at the dusky-skinned girl, likely his age or even younger, originally intending to decline but saw Bonnie discreetly nod at him, so his words changed accordingly, ”...Okay.”

The three then left the hotel under the manager’s watch.

——

Mauville Food Square.

Baimu placed Mawile in the seat next to him, feeling somewhat awkward as he spoke to Furong across from him:

”Is there something wrong with my face?”

”Not at all, I was just thinking it’s no wonder Da Wu keeps talking about Lord Baimu~”

Furong rested her chin on crossed hands, her radiant smile frequently attracting attention from others.

Lord??

Are you a Taobao customer service representative!

Baimu forced a smile, saying, ”Just calling me by name is fine, speaking of which Queen Bonnie, you are...”

”As you can see, I’m ordering.”

Bonnie earnestly held the menu, eventually ordering a bowl of ramen with lots of toppings, then handed the menu over, ”Your turn.”

”...Are we really here to eat?”

Helplessly, he ordered two bowls of ramen, one extra-large and the other regular, and chose some toppings that Mawile liked, then passed the menu to Furong across.
