Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 558: Chapter 411: Mega First Battle (Part 2)

——

Mauville Gym.

Located within Li Mauville, Hall Master Tie Xuan specializes in Electric Attribute Pokémon.

Baimu stood at the Gym’s entrance, instead of rushing inside he tentatively reached out his hand.

Boom!

The door collapsed.

Revealing a long tunnel.

He glanced at the collapsed door panels, applied a bit of forward force with his foot, and quickly withdrew. Instantly, metal handles protruded from both sides of the panels, rumbling rapidly towards the interior of the Gym.

”Sure enough, there are mechanisms.”

As a top mechanical engineer, Tie Xuan enjoys setting up various prank-like mechanisms in the Gym, although online reviews about it are not great.

Many challengers find it troublesome.

Ash Ketchum and his group fell victim to the setup when they came to challenge.

But Tie Xuan didn’t expect Pikachu to gain powerful electrical energy from the Mechanical Raikou, defeating all sent Pokémon with Electric Techniques in one hit, leaving them doubting life, almost leading to Mauville Gym’s closure.

Baimu walked forward again and quickly withdrew.

Pa!

The ground just stamped on also flipped up handles, rumbling forward into the depths.

He remained silent, as if hearing an angry shout beside him.

Since Rotom started collaborating with Tie Xuan, the mechanisms at Mauville Gym have significantly improved in terms of safety and mischief, attracting quite a few trainers with curious minds to visit.

Therefore, what Tie Xuan said earlier about being popular is not actually wrong.

For the third time, he advanced.

Finally, there were no more mechanisms.

Walking through the long tunnel, Baimu reached the pool area, and instead of having Hydreigon fly over, he had Milotic dive down to open the water valve at the bottom.

After draining a large pool of water, a massive waterproof door emerged on the side of the pool’s bottom.

[Escape Safety Passage]

The glowing green sign caught his eye.

”The online guides are actually true?”

Baimu felt fortunate for his luck. When browsing guides related to Mauville Gym earlier, he’d seen claims that Miss Jun Sha had once identified Tie Xuan’s mechanisms as safety hazards, leading to a forced construction of an escape safety passage at the pool’s bottom.

Originally, it was just a test, unexpectedly it was true.

He twisted the door handle, and the iron door emitted two beeps, first red light then green, checking for surrounding water. If there was water, it would activate a drainage device ensuring the iron door wouldn’t be unable to open due to water pressure.

The door opened.

Baimu blinked and quickly closed the door, turning to the camera above, saying, ”Isn’t it wrong to place a Mechanical Raikou inside the safety passage? It’s against safety management regulations, isn’t it?”

Upon opening the door, he saw an activated Mechanical Raikou inside, its lifelike appearance nearly causing his heart to skip a beat.

However, he quickly realized it was counterfeit, having recently seen the real one, which was larger and had thicker teeth.

Yet the camera offered no response.

Upon reopening the safety door, the Mechanical Raikou had disappeared.

Baimu continued ahead, swiftly arriving in the true hall of Mauville Gym, a vast space filled with mechanical creations, including fake Pokémon like Mechanical Raikou.

Tie Xuan laughed heartily as he emerged from a door, ”Ga-haha! The Trainers nowadays are getting smarter! Not a single carefully designed mechanism worked! I’m impressed!”

A slightly bald man followed by a brown-haired youth wearing glasses helplessly said, ”That’s why I always suggest dismantling the mechanisms, Teacher, every month the Gym spends a lot on mechanism maintenance!”

”That won’t work! Walt, you have to know that many people love my mechanisms; they even call me the Mechanism King!”

Tie Xuan said seriously.

Mechanism King? Isn’t that your good pal? Well, that’s a different version.

Baimu silently mocked inside, then stepped forward to greet, ”Good afternoon Hall Master Tie Xuan, I’ve come as promised to challenge the Gym. I wonder if you remember me.”

Tie Xuan maintained his smile, saying, ”Of course I remember! I’m not so old that my eyes are failing! But are you truly prepared? My Pokémon won’t be as easily defeated as the mechanisms!”

”I appreciate the challenge!”

”Great! Such spirit! Hahaha!”

Tie Xuan, bearing his iconic laugh, led him into the battle arena.

The referee was the assistant Walt.

This surprised Baimu a little; he expected an Aerial Rotom to pop out from some corner.

Walt held a flag and loudly announced, ”Now begins the Mauville Gym Challenge. Each side will use four Pokémon. Only the challenger is allowed to freely switch Pokémon. The match ends when any of the sides is unable to battle.”

Hall Master Tie Xuan, full of fighting spirit, pulled out a Pokeball and shouted, ”Next, you’ll experience the real strength of an old man as a Gym Leader! Go!”

The Pokeball flew out.

Bam!

A flash of white light.

Like a UFO, the Magnezone appeared. It slightly descended before quickly floating up, the three large magnets embedded below spinning and releasing electromagnetic waves to shield gravity, ”Gzz oooh!”

”Gahaha! Do you remember it? Just evolved into a Magnezone yesterday, and it’ll be your initial opponent!” Tie Xuan laughed heartily.

Opposite him.

Baimu quietly tossed out a Pokeball.

”Gwoar...”

The shimmering silver Aggron landed, not as noisy as before, and indifferently looked at its opponent.

The big monster hadn’t engaged in a proper battle for a while, just right for clearing the path as the vanguard for Porygon, and it could also use this to test Super Evolution in real combat.

”A decent Aggron! No wonder you are so confident!”

Tie Xuan, with his hands on his hips, confidently said, ”Very well! Attack! I’ll allow you to make the first move!”

Perhaps due to his confidence in his strength, this cheerful elderly man took the initiative to give Baimu a chance.

He exchanged a glance with Aggron, one pulling out a pendant hidden in his clothes, the other turning to reveal the Super Stone within a hole.

In an instant.

A dazzling light shone from both of them.

Just moments ago, the confident Tie Xuan was suddenly startled, exclaiming, ”This is—”

”It’s time to verify the results of these past few days.”

Baimu, as if reciting an opening line, completed a resonance with the lowly roaring Aggron, their thoughts linking at this moment, provoking a one-of-a-kind miracle.

Evolution beyond evolution—

”Mega evolution!”

As the shout rang out, Aggron’s response became high-pitched, its form undergoing a shocking transformation under the crimson and azure brilliance, visible to the naked eye!

The frontal horn shrank straight upwards, the arms extended sharp spikes, the steel armor on the back quickly wrapping around chest and abdomen, crescent-shaped blade guards sprouted from the shoulders, while the tail was tightly secured by heavy steel rings.

In a flash, the Mega Aggron appeared like a fortress of war, the light illuminating its menacing steel armor, emitting a charming silvery glow.

”Gwoar!”

It let out a thunderous roar, white smoke continuously escaping its mouth, its sky-blue eyes fixed intently on the distant Magnezone.

Super Evolution!

Tie Xuan stared in shock at the Mega Aggron; without a doubt, he knew of this power’s existence, but this was his first time seeing it from a challenger.

This also aroused a slight sense of unease in him.

And it quickly became reality.

”High Horsepower!” Baimu’s voice was quite low, seemingly suppressing something.

”Gwoar!”

The Mega Aggron leaped as if gravity were nonexistent, orange-red smoke emanated from its body, forming a tangible stream of energy like an aura.

Then it charged towards the Magnezone like a meteor in an arc!

The movement caused terrifying explosive sounds in the air!

Rumble!!

”Reflective Wall!”

Coming to his senses, Tie Xuan shouted, and instantly a mottled, colorful rectangular barrier rose in front of the Magnezone, ”Gzz oooh!”

But in the next moment, the rectangular barrier seemed as if it didn’t exist, as Mega Aggron crashed through it directly, its half-ton body slamming against the Magnezone!

Boom—!!

The deafening boom!

Tie Xuan felt a sudden shriek beside his ear as a silver figure whooshed past him, crashing into the wall behind with a thud.

He turned his head and saw most of the Magnezone embedded in the shattered wall, the black rings on both sides indicating it had lost its ability to battle.

Tie Xuan turned back in astonishment, seeing a colossal figure looming amidst the overwhelming dust, and those sky-blue eyes shining brightly, filled with an eerie light.
