Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 587: Chapter 424: Will of the Dragon

”Let’s get out of here!”

Baimu dropped his notebook, grabbed his backpack, scooped up the Mawile watching TV on the sofa with one hand, and with a flick of his left foot, picked up the half-eaten Dreepy and placed it on his head, running towards the closer balcony as quickly as possible.

”Chido?”

”Xiyaa?”

The Mawile, holding a phone, was bewildered, and Dreepy, with food in its mouth, was equally confused.

Fortunately, to prepare for any sudden trips with Furong and Bonnie, and to avoid scaring Dreepy with the fierce Pokémon at home—especially Hydreigon—he hadn’t released the other Pokémon tonight.

It saved a lot of time.

However, when he reached the windowsill, he discovered that it was pitch black outside, with no streetlights, cars, or ground visible, despite being on the second floor near the road.

”Damn it! It’s the Alternate Space again!”

Baimu cursed under his breath, swiftly turning to run to the door, only to find that the room was already locked. The door handle was as hard as stone, impossible to turn.

He quickly stepped back two paces, pulled out a bomb, and threw it at the door.

Bang!

In the violent shaking, smoke filled half the living room, but it had no effect on the composite wooden door.

What shocked Baimu and the two Pokémon even more was that the room’s structure was gradually changing.

First, the appearance of the door began to drop fragments of various sizes from the handle, rapidly transforming from a pitch-black modern door to a Western-style, brown classical door, followed by the ceiling and carpet.

Even the structure of the room was completely different, inexplicably adding a balcony.

Of course,

”Hiss!”

Baimu felt a bit of a chill down his spine, suddenly hearing a startled cry from Mawile in his arms.

”Chido!”

”What’s wrong?” He looked down to find that this guy’s phone had no signal—well, being in another world, how could there be a signal!

He looked speechlessly at Mawile, who seemed to realize how absurd its focus was. It silently shoved the phone into his pocket, pretending as if nothing had happened.

But surprisingly, after the decoration in the room changed, the anticipated danger did not appear.

”Shh.”

Baimu signaled the two Pokémon to remain as quiet as possible, carefully exploring different parts of the room. He found no signs of danger, though the traces he had left earlier had disappeared, as well as the bowl of food Dreepy hadn’t finished.

”Xiyaa...”

The Dreepy on his head whimpered sadly, as it still wanted to eat!

”It’s okay, I’ll make more for you next time.”

He whispered a comforting remark, his gaze falling onto a bathtub in the bathroom, which looked small but was definitely large enough to curl up in, and his pupils slightly widened.

He exited the bathroom.

He turned back to the door again, tentatively reaching out to place his hand on the doorknob, and gave it a gentle turn.

Click.

A mechanism sound could be heard.

This door might open to reveal the hallway outside, but would it still be the second floor of Li Mauville outside?

”Hiss!”

Baimu hesitated to be certain, even suspecting that they were already in the Spirit Realm.

Or perhaps Room 1608 was a special transit point between reality and the Spirit Realm, opening the door would lead outside to the Spirit Realm, filled with various monsters and ghosts.

Guests who once entered Room 1608 might have inadvertently entered the Spirit Realm, filled with Ghost-type Pokémon and True Ghosts, when they reopened the door. But how did they eventually return to the real world?

With the help of Ghost-type Pokémon?

Do they automatically exit the Spirit Realm when daybreak comes?

Feeling quite uneasy, his throat moved reflexively, his peripheral vision catching the time on his watch—

2:18;

Only twelve minutes left until the clue reminder at two-thirty.

Should he lie in the bathtub?

Baimu looked toward the bathroom, reviewing the clues provided, and found that it instructed him to [hide] in the bathtub, no matter what he [heard], not to make a sound.

”Hide?”

He squinted, rubbing his chin. Though he wasn’t fond of playing word games, he felt that every piece of information in the clues was filled with deep meaning.

Since it mentioned hiding, it was definitely suggesting he avoid something.

With that in mind,

Baimu recalled Mawile into the Pokeball and swapped it with the Ghost Attribute Galarian Corsola.

”Shaa?”

The Corsola appeared, its eyes glowing like red candles, unexpectedly extending mist-like tendrils, and its drooping mouth suddenly curling up, revealing a somewhat content expression.

Evidently, this Spirit Realm environment suited Ghost-type Pokémon perfectly, even this lazy creature couldn’t resist it.

He tapped Corsola’s head to bring it back, entrusting it with security duties under the watchful eyes of Dreepy. It seemed the Ghost Attribute would move more smoothly in the Spirit Realm.

”...”

Corsola looked at the Trainer and the Dreepy on his head, easily agreeing but wanting to remark how silly it looked.

Not wanting to be hassled, the lazy Pokémon chose to remain silent.

2:25;

Baimu lay in the bathtub with Corsola, turning off anything that might suddenly make noise, gripping a powerful flash grenade, and gesturing a silent warning to Dreepy.

The latter immediately understood, nodding to indicate it wouldn’t make a sound.

”Whew...”

He exhaled a breath, gradually calming down.

Countdown—

Begins.

——

Tick.

Tick.

Water droplets fell into the sink, resonating in the silent room with an irritating, distressing magic.

But fortunately,

They soon stopped dripping.
