Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 555: Chapter 410: ”Evil” Doctor

Porygon has fallen asleep.

It’s the main force for tomorrow afternoon’s match, so its energy must be fully charged.

However, Baimu, who had been ”educated” after waking up in the middle of the night, couldn’t sleep, feeling somewhat troubled by the trust level of five hearts.

Even though hoping for an immediate improvement in the trust level due to the recent apology is unrealistic, he did indeed have such a thought.

The final result is as shown in the picture.

There was no improvement.

Hopefully, tomorrow’s Gym challenge will reveal a breakthrough.

Baimu thought to himself, and then watched the video from Porygon several more times, getting the impression of watching a horror movie this late at night.

Where did this Phantom Porygon come from?

Of course, he didn’t forget to send a copy to Dr. Akihabara and the assistant guy, since the situation with Porygon must be something everyone needs to research together, maybe these two can give him a concrete answer.

Just as he was about to turn off his phone and go to sleep, the screen lit up right after locking it, showing a reply from Dr. Akihabara.

Eh? Isn’t he usually very busy?

Why would he reply in the middle of the night?

Curious, Baimu clicked open the message, and then he saw a series of exclamation marks with some text amidst them, accompanied by a picture.

Dr. Akihabara: ”Zero Machine! It’s definitely the Zero Machine!”

The picture showed a pixelated mass, resembling some form of Porygon Z.

Heavens know where the doctor grabbed that frame from, he compared it for half a day but still couldn’t tell for sure, truly deserving of the title of the creator of the three kinds of Porygon.

Baimu: ”Zero Machine? No way, wasn’t it missing? How could it appear in Mauville City’s network space?”

Dr. Akihabara: ”I don’t know, but my intuition tells me this guy is definitely the Zero Machine! Wait for me, I’ll fly over right away, this time we must catch it! Can’t let it roam around freely anymore!”

After solving the issues over at Martial Arts Town, the doctor returned to Kanto. Might not even take two hours to fly over from Kanto, right?

Of course.

Given that there’s a flight available.

There aren’t many flights heading towards Hoenn from around the world, mainly because of Rayquaza, who considers the sky its territory; though it wouldn’t attack the planes, it would chase them, causing turbulence with the high-air current it stirs up.

Quite scary.

Baimu thought for a moment, and typed: ”Did it destroy your research institute? Any further records of mischief?”

Dr. Akihabara: ”I haven’t heard of other acts of mischief, truth be told, I still don’t know what it’s aiming for, would be best to have a proper talk with it face-to-face...”

Given the information revealed by the doctor himself, the creation of Porygon Z indeed involved some effort from the Zero Machine, indicating that it might be pursuing a higher level of ”evolution.”

Like evolving once more, or something.

Probably not possible, as in the Pokémon world, there’s a maximum of four evolutions, with the fourth being just a short-lived, temporary stage...

Wait a second!

Could it be that the Zero Machine came to Hoenn seeking a way for Super Evolution?

Baimu came up with a bold guess, though it remains undetermined whether the Phantom Porygon and that red-blue object in the doctor’s capture is actually a Porygon Z.

Maybe it’s a Porygon Ghost?

Perhaps he should consult Tie Xuan, as the mechanical engineer who introduced Rotom, he might know something.

However, Dr. Akihabara seems set on coming to Mauville City.

If it truly is the Zero Machine, could Dr. Akihabara’s capture attempt lead to network problems in Mauville City? Might even end up crashing the whole network in the process.

Hmm...

Baimu suddenly recalled a serious issue.

The Zero Machine projecting those strange phantoms in front of Porygon, unlikely to be just for amusement, probably shows an interest in Porygon, with the intention to abduct it?

That’s a no!

He watched his phone warily, wondering if Porygon managed to shake off that guy or if it’s possible that his phone has already been monitored by Porygon Z?

Thinking of that, Baimu immediately turned off his phone and cut off all network in the room, recalling Mawile’s phone, he hurriedly went to turn it off as well.

”Should be fine now, right?”

He laid down on the bed, gazing at the unfamiliar ceiling, and gradually closed his eyes.

The night was peaceful and calm.

Next day.

Baimu opened his eyes at dawn, the calm in the room allowed him to let out a slight sigh of relief.

He was pretty worried about the Zero Machine forcefully coming to snatch Porygon, so he never really slept, just rested his eyes.

Fortunately, this body is young and energetic, staying up for a night is not an issue.

”Chido!”

The awakening Mawile went straight to tinkering with the phone, as this thing remains quite fresh to it, but found the things it could open yesterday wouldn’t open today.

Broken?

Impossible.

It didn’t do anything, though.

Feeling guilty, Mawile glanced at the rising Baimu, then rushed to ask Porygon about the phone’s condition.

In this house, the only one who understands electronic products is this Building Block Duck, the others are just battle-inclined fools, even Blissey can’t handle this kind of human technology.

”Chido~”

Holding the phone, Mawile gently nudged Porygon curled up on the sofa.

”Pa...lee...”

Porygon opened its eyes, absent-minded, taking several seconds like booting up before coming to its senses, looking at the Mawile holding the phone, ”Palee?”

”Chido!”

Mawile glanced again towards the bathroom, quickly inquiring Porygon about the phone.
