Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 578: Chapter 420: Quasi-God Clue (2)

Porygon II saw Blissey nodding excitedly and breathed a sigh of relief.

Baimu also relaxed; he didn’t want his words to mess with his Pokémons’ mindset.

Besides, what Milotic said was indeed reasonable.

Imaginary memories are ultimately imaginary; no matter how well constructed, there will be loopholes, and no matter how intense emotions are, they will change when anomalies are detected.

Dr. Akihabara isn’t stupid; if the intent to promote Porygon can be sustained from start to finish, the thinking is most likely genuine.

Baimu couldn’t help but feel conflicted.

Then.

He heard Corsola and Mawile say something that made him suddenly enlightened—

’So troublesome, let someone else handle it.’

’Yeah, didn’t we find someone in Martial Arts Town before?’

Yes!

What was he worrying about? If Dr. Akihabara is really being mind-controlled by No.1 Machine, intending to use Porygon to control the world, it shouldn’t be his responsibility to deal with it!

Leave it to Miss Jun Sha, leave it to the international police. They’re not just sitting around doing nothing.

Why would he take on everything like Ash Ketchum, like he’s got nothing better to do?

It’s not like it has to be him.

When did he become so ”main character”-minded?

”Makes sense!” Baimu excitedly picked up Mawile and kissed its forehead, causing Mawile to be stunned by his sudden action, then bashfully pinching his cheeks and pulling them sideways with a sarcastic smile.

You! What are you doing to a lady!

”Sorry, sorry, got carried away.”

With a distorted face, Baimu spoke muddled words, putting Mawile back on the little sofa in the room, glancing at his Pokémon.

”Then it’s decided! Let the international police handle it! Do you have any other opinions?”

The other Pokémon shook their heads.

Porygon II reminded him to avoid Zeroth Machine’s surveillance when contacting the international police.

Baimu thought and asked, ”What do you think should be done?”

’Leave it to me! Let me shield its existence; I’ve already cut off part of that guy’s data flow. Next time it appears, I’ll react!’

Porygon II said proudly.

Clearly, it had mentioned it particularly just now to show off its network security skills.

Baimu had no choice but to applaud it.

”Amazing, amazing.”

Thus, having received praise, Porygon II became even happier.

In practical terms, if Zeroth Machine claimed Dr. Akihabara’s memory was altered by No.1 Machine, then traces would definitely remain in the former’s brain, which couldn’t be concealed under the black technology medical methods in the Pokémon animation world.

Even if the machines can be tricked, it surely can’t fool those Superpower Users.

Handing it over to the international police, there was nothing to worry about.

Only that he must clarify with them, preferably not to interrupt Dr. Akihabara with the capture of Zeroth Machine, otherwise if this guy really wants to escape, the international police might inadvertently help it.

The next day.

Baimu contacted the international police through Leo again, went to their secret base in Mauville City, and conveyed many things about Porygon.

Unexpectedly, after reviewing the relevant situation, the other party informed him that the international police had always been monitoring Dr. Akihabara and Porygon.

They even had a specialist following up.

”I’ll pass Zeroth Machine’s video to the person in charge, and if any issue arises, they’ll contact you. Usually, you just need to ensure your own safety, without taking on some unnecessary responsibilities.”

Seeing what the other party said, the stone in Baimu’s heart also fell.

”Alright!”

——

Bright sunshine.

With peace of mind, Baimu canceled the room reservation at Mauville Mountain and chose to meet the new member of the team instead of heading to Verdanturf City.

”New member, huh...”

It’s been two months since capturing the Shiny Feebas.

What new companions might the simulator bring him this time?

Filling himself with a bit of anticipation.

He took Mawile on the fast train to Fallarbor Town, where Mawile started watching shows as soon as she settled in, her concentrated look holding a phone quite adorable.

It discovered a campus youth drama yesterday.

The story is about a ”rustic” Smoochum coming from the countryside to attend a noble school, encountering four handsome Pokémon from distinguished backgrounds and engaging in interactions and romance—

Pokémon Meteor Garden.

Baimu could instantly understand what this was just from the synopsis, but couldn’t fathom how such a campus youth drama starring Pokémon could be so popular, even more than those with human actors, even Mawile couldn’t resist being captivated.

Puzzling, puzzling.

Looking at the scenery passing by the train window, he was about to take out some snacks to eat when his phone in his pocket suddenly vibrated.

Taking a look, it was an email reply from Dr. Kukui.

As expected, after publishing the paper, the latter hadn’t been researching Imitation Vanilla, nor did he expect Baimu would use it as a basis to try teaching his Pokémon moves with Imitation Vanilla.

Regarding what happened to Aggron, Dr. Kukui offered a possible explanation of ”sudden enlightenment.”

Under the effect of Imitation Vanilla, Aggron was stimulated by Donphan’s demonstration of Double-bladed Head Hammer, similar to learning a new move suddenly under a crisis, successfully using Double-bladed Head Hammer.

Currently, there are two theories about Pokémon moves in academia: one is acquiring them innately but restricted until ”unlocked” under certain conditions; the second is the conventional move-learning theory.

Whether moves stem from rigorous Pokémon training or sudden enlightenment unlocking genetically existing skills is unknown.

So as long as the health check shows no issues, Aggron’s sudden mastering of Double-bladed Head Hammer is astonishing but not problematic, as long as it doesn’t impact the body, then everything is normal.

”It’s exactly because Pokémon are all mysteries that we scholars must keep researching them... hmm, well said.”

Baimu put away his phone with a sigh.

Mauville City is located in the central part of Hoenn Region, actually not very far from the northernmost Fallarbor Town, at most a two-hour journey.

For Mawile, that’s about two episodes of drama.

Upon hearing the trainer’s reminder, it reluctantly put the phone into the cute pouch hanging at its waist, where Porygon II also flew into Baimu’s smartphone.

’It’s really good; I wish I knew whether the fangirl ultimately chooses Elekid or Magby!’

”Cheedo cheedo!”

Mawile agreed, nodding slightly.

Baimu said, ”Why not Prince Riolu?”

’Prince Riolu? Is there such a character?’ Porygon II inside the phone was clueless; when it noticed Mawile’s disdainful look through the camera, it realized the trainer was joking again.

A bit speechless for a moment.

Never noticed before evolving, the trainer really had a mischievous streak.

”Hahaha.”

Baimu laughed and released Hydreigon from its ball, fitting it with a saddle. ”Let’s head back to Dragon Nest!”

”Sacha!”

Hydreigon responded loudly.

As the team’s sole transport, it quite enjoyed the feeling of carrying the trainer and the companions soaring high in the sky, just hoping the new member wouldn’t take over its ”job.”

If they did, it would teach them how to be a dragon properly.

On Hydreigon’s back, Mawile attempted to take out its phone and watch the drama again; upon realizing the wind noises in the air made it impossible to hear the speaker sound clearly, it reluctantly gave up.

Seeing this, Baimu suggested, ”Would you like me to buy you a headset? But suitable earbuds for you probably aren’t many...”

Mawile didn’t understand a word, sat obediently in the trainer’s arms, waiting to find a place at Dragon Nest to continue watching.

Soon.

Meteor Falls was before them.

Seeing this sight, Baimu opened the simulator using the Pokémon clue, selecting Species Value of 600.

”So will it be Dragonite, Garchomp, or Salamence?”

He wondered, with these three Pokémon being most common in Dragon Nest, followed by quasi-gods from other regions.

But to his surprise, the clue described it this way—

[Please arrive at Room 1608 in Mauville Mountain before 2:30 AM, hide in the bathtub without making a sound, regardless of any noises you hear around you.]

”Huh? Huh???”
