Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 591: Chapter 426: Dragapult Fighter Jet!

The coffin of the Death God—Tub version, fell silent after speaking.

This guy’s strange appearance made the reliability of Froslass’s ”Painted Skin” seem much more credible; after all, if a coffin could transform into a bathtub, then making a skin out of ice and snow wouldn’t be too difficult, right?

It’s just that Froslass lacks any artistic sense or crafting skills, resulting in something that looks neither human nor ghostly.

Reflecting on what it just said, it seems that around two-thirty might be the time the Death God Coffin regularly wakes up and tries to sleep back in.

At that stage, anyone disturbed would probably not be happy.

Well, goodness!

Turns out I’ve been lying in the most dangerous place all along!

Baimu shivered, then darkness fell before his eyes, blocked by some object.

”Hee-ya!”

Surprisingly, it was the returning Dreepy, eager to go out and find its brother, but this time it unhesitatingly chose him, rather than flying towards Furong, who previously offered help first.

”Hey-eh...”

There was a trace of depth on Furong’s face.

Not that she was jealous of Dreepy being ”lured away,” just simply surprised at how this little guy could have formed a trusting relationship with Baimu in such a short time.

As a Spirit Medium capable of heart-to-heart communication with Ghost-type Pokémon, she understood how difficult it was to gain their trust.

Baimu, frequently mentioned by Da Wu, certainly wasn’t ordinary.

Bonnie witnessed this scene as well, but wasn’t surprised at all; as a Celestial King who had encountered countless trainers, she could immediately see whether someone had talent or excellence.

After pulling Dreepy off his face, Baimu first gently calmed it, then turned to Furong, who was heading for the door, ”Furong Celestial King—”

”Don’t you dare! Speak outside! Don’t disturb my sleep!”

The silent bathtub suddenly spoke, sounding extremely irritable.

”...”

He closed his mouth silently and followed behind Bonnie and Glalie, exchanging glances with the Corsola perched on his right shoulder before leaving.

The latter firmly shook its head.

I haven’t even spoken yet, what are you shaking your head for!

Baimu glared, knowing that some things between them only required eye contact, but was it too much to be denied without even bringing it up verbally?

Just recently, they lay together on the coffin lid, can’t it share some of the workload occasionally?

Corsola quietly turned its body, closing its eyes, which resembled red candles, and entered into a slacking state, completely ignoring the trainer’s ”expectant” gaze.

Crazy! Who in their right mind would casually pick a fight with such a formidable guy!

Kidding? Even joking is out of the question!

They arrived in the narrow hallway outside.

Baimu temporarily let go of the slacking Corsola, moving around Glalie blocking the path to stop Furong from opening the door, ”Wait, Furong Celestial King, about those ice beads from Froslass...”

While it’s true that Froslass, being a Ghost Attribute Pokémon, has ancient rumors of freezing male souls into ice cubes, even recorded in the Illustrated Guide, and that wild Froslass often freeze humans with low-temperature Frozen Qi.

But capturing human souls and keeping them close feels a bit off.

It feels like a sudden transition from a children’s show set to a third-rate horror movie scene, with a blend of Japanese and Western flavors.

Perhaps the Death God Coffin was teasing him, joking?

”It’s true.”

Furong gave an answer that was disappointing yet unsurprising to Baimu.

”Then if we don’t rescue them... is it okay?”

He asked again.

Encountering something like this is one thing, but to just ignore it when it happens feels wrong.

Not to mention, they live in an environment that requires kindness.

It’s not that they have no way to deal with that Froslass, avoiding it doesn’t mean they fear it, right?

Hearing his words, Furong’s brow smiled, ”What I mean is that it’s true Froslass would collect human souls into ice beads like a Trainer, but whether or not it actually has any human souls... since I haven’t ’seen’ them, it probably doesn’t.”

”Ugh...”

”Does that put your heart at ease, Baimu? You’re even gentler than I imagined, no wonder Dreepy likes you so much.” Furong gave a very standard Yasashi appraisal.

Baimu responded with a forced smile.

Furong opened the door.

A dilapidated, dark corridor met everyone’s eyes, with decaying wall skin and ceilings, carpets filthy with dust, and shattered decorations—truly embodying the Ghost Hotel atmosphere.

Especially when Dusknoir used its faint blue ”Ghost Fire” to turn on the lights, barely illuminating the surroundings.

Baimu silently pulled out a flashlight from his bag, asking, ”Can I use a high-intensity flashlight?”

”High-intensity flashlight?”

”The kind that can turn night into day in a flash.”

He briefly explained to Furong and Bonnie.

Seeing the former nod in approval, he decisively moved forward and pressed the switch.

In an instant.

It was as if holy light descended.

A high-tech portable flashlight with fifteen hundred thousand lumens brought daylight to the hundred-meter-long corridor, transforming the netherworld into the corporeal world.

”Whoa whoa whoa!”

Furong was full of amazement, and Bonnie was slightly moved as well.

Then their gaze landed on an abandoned cleaning cart about a dozen meters away, which, if they weren’t mistaken, was moving up until five or six seconds after the lights came on.

But now it wasn’t moving.

The reason, of course, was that the Banette pushing the cart was rolling around on the floor, covering its eyes and letting out cries of anguish.
