Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 586: Chapter 423: Ancient Script 3

”So make the most of your time! I suspect that room 1608 has something to do with this!” Baimu directly shared his guess with the other person.

The supervisor, terrified of true ghosts, immediately sprung into action and started contacting the logistics department.

The logistics department knows best about these minor details of hotel decoration.

However, for such an old issue, there was only one person on duty in the logistics department, and they couldn’t find anything quickly, even if they wanted to.

The supervisor was at a loss too.

”I’ll contact you once I figure it out. Leave a phone number.”

”...That’s the only way.”

Baimu nodded helplessly. At that time, computer systems weren’t advanced, and many things were recorded on paper, which indeed took time to find. Otherwise, he could have just let Porygon II do it with ease.

He returned to his room.

Never did he expect that the unraveling of the mystery would get stuck at the last sequence. If he could, he really wished to filter out this idle time.

He compiled his findings into a message and sent it to Bonnie, silently waiting for a reply.

Unfortunately, the response never came.

It’s already past twelve, almost one!

Baimu shut his room door; he had just confirmed with the front desk that Bonnie and Furong hadn’t returned yet.

Don’t they sleep? Are they getting it all done at once or deliberately waiting until this time to catch more Ghost-type Pokémon? That’s quite dedicated!

Not being able to get a response from the two Celestial Kings and not hearing from the supervisor, he sighed.

Fortunately, heaven rewards those who work hard.

Rather than getting anything else, Dragapult, who had slept for more than half a day, finally awakened.

”Dreepy?”

The small triangular-headed creature looked around in confusion. Not seeing Furong and Dusknoir made it a bit anxious, but seeing Baimu on the couch, it suddenly relaxed.

It didn’t quite understand why, but being next to this human made it feel very at ease, releasing all the fatigue accumulated from worry over the past few days, leading to a very long sleep.

”Awake?”

Baimu also noticed Dragapult’s awakening, ”Hungry? Let me make something for you to eat.”

Even though he couldn’t be certain at this point, he had a vague premonition——

There was a certain probability that this little one might be his Pokémon in the future.

Since they were on the same team, he certainly couldn’t let it go hungry.

So Baimu quickly made a bowl of food for Pokémon with a combination of Dragon Attribute and Ghost Attribute, placing it generously in front of Dragapult.

”Dreepy...”

Drooling over the food, Dragapult hesitated but didn’t start eating, instead looking up at Baimu.

”Don’t worry, we will definitely find your brother. You need to eat properly to regain your strength to welcome him back.”

He spoke softly, while poking Dragapult’s head with his index finger——

It was cold and smooth.

Upon hearing this, Dragapult looked down at the food again, and couldn’t resist the delicious aroma right in front of it. It plunged its head into the bowl and started devouring it heartily.

”That’s right, food is iron and rice is steel; skipping a meal will make you awfully hungry!”

Baimu couldn’t help but laugh seeing Dragapult’s antics.

Suddenly.

The phone vibrated.

Pulling it out, he saw it was a message from the supervisor, along with a picture.

Supervisor: ’Couldn’t find the item, but here’s the earliest recorded photo. Take a look.’

The photo was of a small stone tablet, engraved with ancient inscriptions formed by a combination of unknown totems:

’I wish my soul finds a place of its own, not having to wander far from home, nor bow in confusion’

Three sentences.

”Is this some kind of poem?”

Looking at the blurred and fragmented ancient inscriptions on the stone, Baimu took out his sketchbook and wrote them in his notebook, planning to carefully cross-check if anything was missing.

However.

As he finished the last stroke.

The rewritten ancient inscriptions suddenly emitted an eerie glow.

”Wait! What’s happening? Are ancient inscriptions not to be transcribed at will?” Baimu was dumbfounded, recalling the knowledge from the calligraphy association; surely, there was nothing like this mentioned!

And didn’t the calligraphers transcribe numerous ancient inscriptions without any issues? Why is it different for him!

Sensing something, Dragapult quietly lifted its head, ”Dreepy?”

Meanwhile.

Not far from Li Mauville, in the depths of a quiet park.

Having successfully gathered a large number of Ghost-type Pokémon, Furong lifted her head, beaming across towards Li Mauville, ”The entrance to the Spirit Realm is about to appear! It turns out the special magnetic field formed by this area can also affect it!”

Bonnie beside her said, ”If I hadn’t mentioned, would you have driven them into the mall?”

”No way! I wouldn’t do something that reckless, even if I lost my mind!”

Furong shook her head quickly.

”Let’s hope so...”

Bonnie pulled out her phone from her pocket and suddenly frowned, ”When did it turn off automatically?”
