Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1337: Chapter 702: This Isn’t Just Between the Two of Them (Part 3)

Zheng Xiaojue was somewhat swayed by Zhou Yun.

She wasn’t really unwilling from the start.

She decided to consider it further herself.

Anyway, no matter what, Zheng Xiaojue is definitely going to accompany Zhou Yun to finish filming ”Female Assassin”. Even if she’s going to accept this opportunity, it will be after the filming is completed.

Zhou Yun believes Zheng Xiaojue will make the right choice.

Zhou Yun really hopes Zheng Xiaojue can confidently and boldly accept this opportunity, and then start a brand new job.

She is engaged in a work that doesn’t have as much in common with other industries.

An actor, or more bluntly, an artist.

Are there any actors nowadays who aren’t artists?

How many actors truly immerse themselves in the artistic stage that isn’t illuminated by the spotlight?

Zhou Yun doesn’t feel that winning a few awards means she’s completely withdrawn from the term ”artist” and can sit on the throne of ”artist” enjoying praise and flowers.

The starting point in this industry is higher than the endpoint in many other industries.

Zhou Yun doesn’t want to cheaply require herself to only reach this level and then believe she’s at the peak of her career.

Correspondingly, she also sincerely hopes Zheng Xiaojue can reach the peak of her career.

Perhaps, she just might say, perhaps Zheng Xiaojue can become someone truly remarkable in the future, not just on the path from assistant to agent.

Zhou Yun has always believed that people always have such potential.

Until the very last moment, no one knows what will happen.

Of course, when Zhou Yun thought of this phrase, she didn’t think about how it also applies in other aspects.

For example, Zhou Yun didn’t expect that shortly after wrapping up, Lucia would accept an interview with a French media outlet and publicly criticize Wen Bing.

”He’s a particularly cowardly person, a coward,” Lucia protested to the reporter, ”I really hate him.”

This sounds exactly like the voice of a young girl who has just broken up with her boyfriend.

However, because Wen Bing has some fame in Europe’s film industry, and ”Life” received praise from major film magazines and media last year.

Lucia’s accusation drew considerable attention from insiders.

This matter has already spread to domestic online platforms.

But Zhou Yun didn’t hear about it from the domestic online platforms; it was Elizabeth who sent a message letting her know.

Elizabeth asked her what was going on.

Zhou Yun was astonished.

Why would Lucia do this?

Is it because she’s dissatisfied with Wen Bing?

Zhou Yun immediately wanted to find Wen Bing.

Wen Bing already knew about it; Zeng Yeng reached out to Wen Bing first to inform him.

Zeng Yeng was explaining to Wen Bing that New Shield would respond to this matter and handle the PR, and he didn’t need to personally make any responses.

Wen Bing asked, ”What do you plan to do?”

Zeng Yeng said, ”The company is still having meetings to discuss, there isn’t a final conclusion yet, but based on my experience, the company will either treat it coldly, not responding to the matter and letting it cool down naturally, or strongly retaliate, telling everyone that Lucia is speaking out of resentment due to the breakup, and she’s intentionally saying these things to tarnish your reputation.”

Wen Bing was silent for a while, then said, ”Don’t be too excessive, don’t hurt her.”

Zeng Yeng looked at him in surprise.

”Director Wen, if we don’t fight back, this matter will harm you.” Zeng Yeng emphasized, ”Because of her statement, many people are already boycotting this film.”

Wen Bing remained silent.

Zeng Yeng said, ”Moreover, if we don’t do something, she might continue to attack you and the crew in the media, which is very unfavorable to us.”

”I’ll go talk to her.” Wen Bing said proactively, ”I’ll explain things to her and make sure she doesn’t say anything inappropriate in front of the media later.”

Zeng Yeng hesitated for a moment, seemingly wanting to say more to Wen Bing.

Wen Bing, as if decided, said, ”Zeng Yeng, please help me communicate with the company about this. No matter what, Lucia is an actress in our film, and it’s true that we dated and broke up. Her words are just in anger, it’s not worth getting mad at her. She’s just a young girl.”

Zeng Yeng almost burst into an ironic laugh.

”Director Wen, you might think she’s just a young girl, but young girls act irresponsibly, all based on feelings, which makes them extremely damaging. Now the whole entertainment circle is caught up in the trend of political correctness. A small mistake could turn into a situation where a big director bullies a small actor, and then the whole nation is boycotting ’Female Assassin’, who will compensate for the losses then?”

She said firmly, ”This isn’t just between you and her.”
