Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1326: Chapter 699: Breakup

Wen Bing: ”Do you think Zeng Yeng is deliberately bullying Lucia to disgust me?”

”I don’t think it’s necessarily like that, Wen Bing. I’ve seen that you and Lucia genuinely like each other, but standing from an outsider’s perspective, I now don’t really like your girlfriend.”

”Why?” asked Wen Bing.

Zhou Yun said, ”Because several of her actions have made me feel that she’s not as innocent as she appears on the surface.”

Wen Bing furrowed his brow and asked, ”Do you think she’s pretending?”

”I don’t know. I don’t actually have any evidence, so just take it as a warning, and don’t take it to heart.” Zhou Yun said, ”Anyway, it’s a matter between the two of you; it’s just a relationship. You’ll know best what kind of person she is in the end.”

Wen Bing responded with an ”Oh.”

Zhou Yun: ”If you want my advice, I’d suggest you try to avoid being overly affectionate with Lucia on set. It’s not for any other reason but that it might create a negative impression among many people, making them think you’re unprofessional. Your attitude towards this film, to some extent, determines their attitude towards it.”

”Alright,” Wen Bing nodded, ”I’ll think about it carefully.”

Two days later, who knows what Wen Bing told Lucia, but unless Lucia had a scene herself, she really stopped constantly appearing by Wen Bing’s side and being affectionate with him from time to time.

In Zeng Yeng’s words: ”Finally the atmosphere is clear and upright!”

Zhou Yun heard Zeng Yeng say these words and almost laughed out loud.

She sometimes found Zeng Yeng quite interesting too.

To Zeng Yeng, this was a small victory.

Zeng Yeng had really endured the toughest period of her producing career in this crew, frequently suffering setbacks and often yielding.

Except for the initial period of work, Zeng Yeng hadn’t experienced such setbacks for a long time.

The key was, suffering setbacks at the hands of Wen Bing and Zhou Yun was understandable. After all, one is the director, and the other is the lead actor of this film. Even if they act high and mighty, they have the status to do so. What made Zeng Yeng most upset was Lucia—you’re a small-time actress with no fame. If it wasn’t for dating Wen Bing and becoming his girlfriend, who would care about you!

In a work setting, from Zeng Yeng’s perspective, there are only two types of people: those who cooperate with her work and those who don’t. If you’re the latter, either you’re like Wen Bing and Zhou Yun with the capital to be uncooperative, she is powerless and has to take a different approach, or she would make that person comply strongly.

Zeng Yeng didn’t know if Lucia was convinced, but she didn’t care anymore. At least not now. Zeng Yeng felt that if she had to retreat when competing with Lucia, then she really has no authority in this crew.

So, no matter what, Zeng Yeng would confront Lucia head-on.

If Wen Bing firmly stood behind Lucia, thinking it’s fine for them to flirt on set, then Zeng Yeng felt it necessary to take other measures.

In summary, the only people who could make Zeng Yeng concede in this crew were Wen Bing and Zhou Yun, no third person.

Perhaps because of this matter, when Lucia met Zeng Yeng again, her face looked embarrassed, avoiding her gaze, as if she hadn’t seen Zeng Yeng, she walked away.

Zeng Yeng maintained a cold smile at Lucia’s reaction.

To be honest, Zeng Yeng didn’t like Lucia.

The way Lucia first presented herself in front of Zeng Yeng was completely different from how she behaved after dating Wen Bing.

This change made Zeng Yeng believe that Lucia’s initial innocence and naivety were just a facade.

If Zeng Yeng discussed this point with Zhou Yun, she’d find out she wasn’t the only one who thought this way.

Zhou Yun also had doubts about Lucia’s true nature.

Initially, Zhou Yun thought Lucia’s actions were just due to jealousy from love for Wen Bing, but Lucia’s increasingly possessive and excluding behavior made Zhou Yun suspicious.

She didn’t think that this possessive and excluding behavior was particularly bad, she just felt it wasn’t consistent with the innocence and naivety Lucia had shown before.
