Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1320: Chapter 697: Surprise Visit to the Set

Song Chi’s sudden arrival made Zhou Yun’s mood light up like starlight in the night.

Spending long hours in the cast shooting and immersing oneself in a character for a prolonged period can lead to a sense of distortion.

This feeling is hard to erase with logic.

But as soon as Song Chi arrived, Zhou Yun felt a sense of relief, like coming ashore from submerged waters.

She and Song Chi were wildly enjoying their time in the hotel, until both were sweat-soaked and sighed with unfulfilled satisfaction.

Zhou Yun lay on the bed, wrapped in a blanket, watching Song Chi.

”How long has it been since we last met?”

”Almost two months,” Song Chi said, ”The last time we met was at the Qingmu Award.”

”Yeah,” Zhou Yun said, ”It’s not easy to meet up.”

Song Chi said, ”But soon we’ll be filming together, so we won’t have to be apart for so long.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Mhm.”

She lifted her head and said, ”I fully trusted your taste when I took this drama.”

Song Chi said, ”Didn’t you read the script?”

”I didn’t read it completely, you don’t even know, Chen Wenjun came looking for me, stayed here for two days, wouldn’t leave until I gave a definite answer.” Zhou Yun said, ”I read the script outline and then read the beginning and end sections, didn’t finish the whole thing. I thought it was nice to have a chance to act together, this way we can spend more time together because of work.”

Song Chi laughed.

”Chen Wenjun originally wanted to enlist me as a negotiator too.”

”Then why didn’t you try to persuade me?” Zhou Yun asked.

Song Chi: ”I didn’t want to sway your judgment. With your current status, there are just as many factors for you to consider when picking a role as there are for me. If it were my own film, that’s different. For Chen Wenjun’s film, there’s no need.”

”Really rational. I like it.” Zhou Yun grinned mischievously, ”But, are you a bit darker?”

Zhou Yun thought Song Chi’s face seemed a shade darker than before.

This also made him look even more rugged.

Song Chi said, ”I was filming ’Jiangyun Platform’ before, getting sunburned and drenched daily, it’s no wonder I got darker.”

”Even more handsome.” Zhou Yun hugged Song Chi and kissed his face, ”You used to be too fair, like a scholar with a pale face, I think you look better with a bit of tan.”

At this moment, Zhou Yun was like a marshmallow pressed against Song Chi.

Song Chi gradually indulged in this warmth again.

...

”Sister Xiao Yun, it’s really something with Brother Chi here.” Zheng Xiaojue teased Zhou Yun while Song Chi was not around. ”Your whole demeanor has changed.”

”Really?”

”You’ll know if you look in the mirror, you seem just like a budding flower now.” Zheng Xiaojue used a metaphor only elementary students would use.

Zhou Yun inexplicably blushed.

She cast a sidelong glance at Zheng Xiaojue and said, ”What nonsense are you talking about.”

”Sister Xiao Yun, are you embarrassed to admit it?” Zheng Xiaojue exaggeratedly widened her eyes, ”Come on, everyone says ever since Brother Chi came, your smile has never left your face these past few days.”

Zhou Yun: ”...”

She rarely felt embarrassed, but at this moment, she was a bit awkward.

Liu Yun observed and said, ”Sister Xiao Yun, don’t listen to Xiaoju’s nonsense, actually everyone hasn’t been specially gossiping about you two. What’s been talked about more is Director Wen Bing and Lucia.”

Zhou Yun took a deep breath and said, ”It’s okay, let them talk, nothing shady about this. I’m indeed happy Song Chi came by.”

”How long can Brother Chi accompany you here?” Zheng Xiaojue asked curiously.

”About a week,” Zhou Yun said, ”He has stuff later on, can’t stay here for too long.”

Zheng Xiaojue looked a bit disappointed at first but then smiled.

”It’s okay, anyway Sister Xiao Yun, you can shoot a drama with Brother Chi together in July, then there’ll be months where you can be together.” Zheng Xiaojue suddenly hugged Zhou Yun’s arm, ”I used to really envy celebrities but after meeting Sister Xiao Yun, I realized a true celebrity doesn’t live as leisurely as it seems, only the fake ones live easy.”

”What do you mean by true celebrity and fake celebrity?” Liu Yun asked curiously.

Zheng Xiaojue replied confidently, ”A true celebrity puts themselves in a humble position, holds high standards, cherishes their feathers, and their fame; while a fake celebrity chases the spotlight, blinded by vanity and illusion.”
