Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1308: Chapter 693: Reconciliation

Wen Bing is considered quite famous among directors.

Mainly because his rise to fame is rather legendary, like ”Life”, this dark horse that triumphed with little, is a story that major marketing accounts and social media bloggers love to write about.

In addition, Wen Bing is young, with a good appearance; he always receives more favor during dissemination.

The second film ”Two tigers” just finished screening, a highly successful and critically acclaimed action film filled with intense personal style, attracting countless movie fans.

Therefore, when news about him dating Lucia started circulating online in the country, everyone’s first reaction was like hearing a celebrity they know suddenly having their romance exposed — wondering who this woman is?

The romance between Wen Bing and Lucia garnered a lot of attention.

Yao Yuanfeng also saw the news online.

His initial reaction was actually the same as Zeng Yeng’s, a suspicion arising in the mind: Would this affect the filming of ”Female Assassin”?

But Yao Yuanfeng is Yao Yuanfeng, not like Zeng Yeng, immediately getting infuriated and questioning Wen Bing.

As the boss and head of New Shield, regardless of what he really thinks, he always shows great respect for directors.

Especially someone like Wen Bing, who has clearly become the hottest director nowadays.

Yao Yuanfeng first tried to understand the situation more, calling a few insiders in the crew to find out what the current status is.

After understanding these conditions, Yao Yuanfeng decided to contact Wen Bing.

Wen Bing received a call from Yao Yuanfeng, saying: ”President Yao, are you also worried about me dating Lucia?”

”What’s wrong with you dating Lucia?” Yao Yuanfeng chuckled generously, ”Someone as talented as you is liked no matter where you go; it’s quite normal.”

The attitude Yao Yuanfeng presented eased Wen Bing’s resistance quite a bit.

Wen Bing said: ”I thought you called to say I shouldn’t be dating Lucia.”

There was still a hint of dissatisfaction in his words.

Yao Yuanfeng said: ”You are single, dating a girl isn’t anything extraordinary, why shouldn’t you?”

Wen Bing: ”Your reliable subordinate has been arguing with me over this for ages.”

”Zeng Yeng?” Yao Yuanfeng laughed and said: ”That’s her personality, you know, be more understanding, she is a woman being a producer abroad, the pressure itself is significant, it’s normal to have such worries; if I didn’t know you well enough, I would definitely be concerned, she just doesn’t know you well, doesn’t trust you.”

Upon hearing Yao Yuanfeng put it this way, Wen Bing immediately understood what Yao Yuanfeng truly meant.

He too had such concerns.

Wen Bing sighed without saying anything and said: ”President Yao, if there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up first; I’ve scheduled a meeting with the art department.”

Yao Yuanfeng said: ”Okay, then go ahead with your meeting, Wen Bing, rest assured, I fully trust you, so, just shoot according to your ideas.”

Wen Bing chuckled inside.

Yao Yuanfeng is one of those who say more pleasant things than anyone, but it’s simply not like that in reality at all.

”Thank you, President Yao.”

Wen Bing finished speaking and hung up the phone.

Yao Yuanfeng had a smile on his face initially, but after Wen Bing hung up the phone, that smile also faded.

Someone like Yao Yuanfeng, others putting up a facade are easily seen through by him, more so for someone like Wen Bing who places his emotions on his face.

Yao Yuanfeng sensed that Wen Bing harbored some resistance and disfavor towards him.

This isn’t actually a big deal; directors who pursue art, all have a bit of temperament.

But Wen Bing is at his peak, if this bit of resistance and disfavor escalates, eventually leading to a spat with Yao Yuanfeng breaking their ties, surely some company would be willing to finance Wen Bing to sue for a contract termination with them.

Yao Yuanfeng has always been maintaining such a level.

He never intended to elevate Wen Bing to the skies, even with Wen Bing’s current achievements, he would receive such a courtesy at any film company.

But New Shield is not of that style.

Yao Yuanfeng doesn’t want to cultivate a director who cannot be controlled.

However, Yao Yuanfeng also hopes Wen Bing doesn’t develop unresolvable conflicts with him because of this.
