Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 993: Chapter 591: Trip to the United States (9)

Zhou Yun asked, ”Have those two robbers been caught?”

”Yes.” You Jiang nodded, pointed to his face, and said, ”But looking like this, I can’t attend any events now.”

You Jiang mainly had a noticeable bruise and swelling on the left side of his forehead.

It looked quite alarming.

Zhou Yun asked, ”Did the doctor say when this injury will heal?”

You Jiang shook his head, sighed, and said, ”At least two weeks.”

Now the Oscar campaign for ”Behind the Scenes” is gradually reaching a fever pitch.

Especially in December and January, it will be the crucial period for Oscar-hopeful films to make their push.

”Behind the Scenes” has already secured multiple nominations for Best Foreign Language Film at various precursor awards, and whether it can break into the final stage is particularly important at this time.

Zhou Lan also told Zhou Yun that You Jiang has been staying in the United States for the past two months, partly to promote ”Behind the Scenes” and partly to network with some American production companies and directors.

For You Jiang to suddenly encounter such an incident means his previous efforts have come to an abrupt stop.

Zhou Yun guessed that You Jiang was likely feeling very unwilling to give up.

She pondered for a moment and said, ”Teacher You, why not wear a mask? Custom-make one to cover that area.”

You Jiang looked at Zhou Yun with some surprise.

But Zhou Yun’s suggestion seemed feasible.

You Jiang’s expression changed slightly.

Zhou Yun continued, ”By the way, Teacher You, I saw in the news that you were seriously injured?”

”Not that exaggerated, I can still walk,” You Jiang said. ”Those two little bastards hit me hard in the stomach, hurt my spleen and stomach a bit.”

Zhou Yun replied, ”Thankfully, nothing serious happened. Teacher You, next time you encounter robbers, just give them your belongings to protect your safety.”

You Jiang said, ”To surrender? I can’t do that; I don’t surrender without a fight.”

”You’re alone in a foreign country, that’s not surrendering, it’s self-preservation,” Zhou Yun said.

You Jiang waved his hand, ”All the same.”

Regarding this incident, You Jiang seemed resolute in his attitude.

Zhou Yun was also helpless; after trying to persuade him, You Jiang didn’t listen, and she had no choice.

Just then, someone suddenly entered carrying a camera.

Several people, seemingly a team.

The hospital room wasn’t large, and they immediately spotted You Jiang and rushed over.

”Are you You Jiang?” Leading the charge was a black-haired, bright-looking woman. She quickly asked You Jiang, who was lying in bed.

You Jiang’s assistant quickly stepped forward, blocking them, and asked, ”Who are you?”

Still in Chinese.

A second later, he realized and switched to, ”Who are you?”

Zhou Yun turned to look at You Jiang.

”Teacher You, do you know them?”

”No,” You Jiang frowned slightly, annoyed by these intruders.

Zhou Yun told Zheng Xiaojue, ”Xiaoju, go get a nurse and security; there should be some in the corridor, go and find them.”

Zheng Xiaojue nodded, responding swiftly, ”Got it.”

Zhou Lan and Zhou Yun both turned to block the group.

”Who are you? Did you get permission? Just breaking in like this.” Zhou Yun sternly asked, focusing on the black-haired woman.

The black-haired woman first gave Zhou Yun a suspicious look, seemingly wondering about her identity.

Then, as if recalling something, her eyes lit up with surprise, and she asked excitedly, ”Are you Zhou Yun?”

Her pronunciation of ”Zhou Yun” was quite odd, but Zhou Yun understood she was calling her.

Zhou Yun frowned at her.

”Who are you?”

”I’m Avril, a journalist for ’New York Entertainment News’.” She said, ”I didn’t expect to see you here. Are you visiting You Jiang? We heard about the robbery last night and wanted to interview; do you have anything to say?”

Zhou Yun directly refused, saying, ”Sorry, I don’t accept interviews, and You Jiang’s interviews haven’t been arranged beforehand, right? Just rushing over like this disturbs his rest; please leave.”

Zhou Yun’s tone was firm, her presence commanding, leaving no room for negotiation.

The reporter named Avril seemed taken aback by Zhou Yun’s determined attitude, hesitating for a couple of seconds.
