Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 987: Chapter 591: Trip to the United States (3)

In the past two years, as Zhou Yun made rapid progress, the world she faced seemed to expand at a lightning speed.

People, events, situations.

All sorts of things, complex and diverse.

Zhou Lan used to wonder if she lacked the capability to keep up with Zhou Yun’s pace, but in the blink of an eye, two years passed, and she caught up.

Reflecting on these two years, Zhou Lan summed up her biggest change: the courage to make decisions.

Many people might think that it’s nothing.

Compared to the improvement of abilities or the change in aura, what kind of change is this?

Zhou Lan believed that maturity is the journey from not daring to make decisions to daring to make decisions.

We all know that not every decision we make in life can be right, appropriate, or correct. It’s precisely for this reason that we hesitate and can’t make a judgment each time we have to make a decision. This process is not just about making decisions or judging which choice can yield greater benefits; it also means whether you can bear the consequences of failure.

Zhou Lan is now willing to bear the consequences of failure.

Even if she fails or makes mistakes, it’s okay, just review, start over, and make amends.

Zhou Lan holds this belief in herself.

She told Zhou Yun, ”Xiao Yun, tomorrow there’s a magazine photoshoot, so go to bed early.”

”Okay.”

Zhou Lan nodded and said, ”Then I’ll go get some rest.”

”Mm.”

Zhou Lan left Zhou Yun’s room.

That night, Zheng Xiaojue stayed with Zhou Yun in that room.

After the incident they encountered in Los Angeles last time, Zhou Yun is now afraid to stay alone in a hotel while traveling abroad, fearing a recurrence of such situations.

Even though this time the arrangements were made by Zhou Lan herself, with no connection to Paimon.

Zheng Xiaojue stayed in the outer room, while Zhou Yun stayed in the inner room.

They even checked the security lock and ensured all the doors and windows were properly locked.

However, due to jet lag, Zhou Yun couldn’t fall asleep.

She had already slept a lot on the plane.

She lay in bed for two hours, then turned on the bedside lamp, took out her Kindle, and planned to read for a while.

Her phone suddenly buzzed twice.

Zhou Yun, surprised, picked up her phone to see who sent her a message. It was Gu Huaichun, asking: Are you in the United States?

Zhou Yun replied: Yes, just arrived, what’s up?

Gu Huaichun: I’m in the United States for work, having a meal with a partner, and heard that you’re here as well. They mentioned that they’re meeting you tomorrow.

Zhou Yun was a bit surprised: What a coincidence? I didn’t know you were coming to the United States.

Gu Huaichun said: Just a shoot, and I’ll be returning to the country the day after tomorrow. I heard from them that you’ll be in New York tomorrow, do you have time to meet up?

Zhou Yun said: After I finish work tomorrow, I’m not sure what time that will be, how about your schedule?

Gu Huaichun: I’m quite free tomorrow, finished work today, so I can rest tomorrow and head back the day after. When arranging the schedule, I ensured one day off.

Zhou Yun: That’s great, I’ll contact you once I’m done with the shoot.

Gu Huaichun said okay.

The next day, photoshoot.

Zhou Yun had to get up early in the morning, and with the help of Zheng Xiaojue and Liu Yun, she packed a suitcase with things she might need for the day.

She didn’t apply makeup because the magazine team had arranged a styling team for her.

Zhou Lan stayed by Zhou Yun’s side and accompanied her to the stylist.

The magazine’s representative was a stunning blonde beauty, who greeted them warmly and then started discussing the shoot details.

The shooting concepts and styles had been communicated in advance with Zhou Yun’s side, with the main ideas set, but some details remained.

Especially regarding the photographer Ross.

Ross was a very renowned photographer, and although this shoot was for Zhou Yun’s endorsed brand with Paimon’s Behind the Scenes securing the magazine cover, Ross himself was someone with specific ideas and strong opinions about shooting, not easily followed by even the magazine representatives.

Six shooting locations were selected, four of which were actual sites.

Meeting Ross, Zhou Yun found out that the famous photographer was a strong man with a full beard. He was really tall and muscular, wearing a baseball cap, with keen and bright eyes, intimidating to the faint-hearted.
