Chapter 968: Chapter 587: Sudden Incident (Part 2)

He steeled himself, nodded, and said, ”Then I’ll go find Xiao Chu.”

”Mm.”

Zhou Yun nodded, wrapped herself in a blanket, and set off to the film set.

Xin Zhike had already arrived at the set, still waiting for notification, uncertain whether filming would proceed normally today.

When he saw Zhou Yun stepping out of the car bundled up like a ball, he paused, somewhat stunned and surprised, not expecting it.

The principal reason was that this look resulted in a rather unexpected visual effect.

”Xiao Yun, you...”

Xin Zhike closely examined Zhou Yun’s expression, swallowing back the questions he was about to ask.

Judging from Zhou Yun’s complexion, it was clear that she was not in good shape.

Cui Xidong approached, asking concernedly, ”How are you feeling? Didn’t you say you would go to the hospital first? Why are you here on set?”

Zhou Yun shook her head and said, ”I’m fine, just a bit tired, but I’m speaking normally and my complexion is okay. Xiao Chu is also sick, and worse than I am. If we both go to the hospital, there’ll be no work done here. It’s okay, Director, wait for me a bit, I’ll have the makeup artist fix me up and cover it up, then we’ll proceed with filming as scheduled.”

Cui Xidong looked at Zhou Yun’s appearance, hesitant to speak.

But Xin Zhike was quite shocked and asked, ”Xiao Yun, you’re this sick and still want to continue filming? Can you manage?”

Zhou Yun nodded.

”Sigh, don’t waste any time, while I’m still feeling okay, quickly film a few scenes. If my condition worsens later, I won’t be able to film even if I want to.”

Xin Zhike stared at Zhou Yun’s weary face peeking out from the blanket, thinking that she hardly seemed ”okay.”

Of course, he wouldn’t say this to Zhou Yun.

Due to Zhou Yun’s determination, Cui Xidong set things in motion for continued filming.

Just then, another car arrived.

Zhou Yun, in the makeup room, didn’t see it. Only Xin Zhike, outside the studio on the phone, witnessed it.

Xu Jinbo stepped out of the car, holding the door to protect the person inside from hitting the roof.

Yuk Chu emerged, bundled tightly, her nose red from the cold. Her assistant held an umbrella to shield her from the wind, as they walked towards the studio.

Xin Zhike, surprised to see Yuk Chu, hung up the phone and approached, asking, ”Weren’t you going to the hospital?”

Yuk Chu shook her head, her voice hoarse, saying, ”Not yet, let’s shoot the scenes first.”

Xin Zhike was again taken aback.

”With your voice like this, how will you film?”

Yuk Chu said, ”We’ll dub it afterwards, let’s just film today’s scenes first.”

Her voice was weak, more so than Zhou Yun.

Xin Zhike, looking at Yuk Chu’s frail state, felt uneasy, saying, ”Maybe you should visit the hospital first? After all, Xiao Yun is already here; I can film with her for now. You appear to be in worse condition than she is.”

Yuk Chu shook her head, adamantly saying, ”No need, I’ll film first, then go to the hospital later.”

After that, her assistant accompanied her into the studio.

Xu Jinbo followed with a face full of helplessness.

He said to Xin Zhike, ”I really can’t persuade her. I’ve already arranged for a doctor to come, he’ll be on set directly.”

Xin Zhike nodded, feeling quite moved, saying, ”That’s best. Sigh, I truly admire their dedication and professionalism.”

Xu Jinbo said, ”I think so too. Honestly, with their dedication, I should be pleased, but I feel particularly guilty. Frankly, I shouldn’t let them continue filming in such states, but the day’s halt would cause losses that force me to consider reality. All I can do is have the doctor check them. If he says they must go to the hospital immediately, I won’t hesitate, they’ll be sent right away, and filming will stop if necessary.”

Xin Zhike: ”That’s great, honestly, looking at them, especially Yuk Chu, things really seem dire.”

”Mm.”

Xu Jinbo glared at Xin Zhike, saying, ”Take care of yourself, now it’s just the three of you. I don’t want you to become the third patient, then I’d really be in the dark!”

Xin Zhike laughed brightly, saying, ”Don’t worry. I stayed out in such heavy rain without catching a cold. I’m very healthy.”

Xu Jinbo’s brows furrowed, feeling an unsettling premonition.
