Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 967: Chapter 587: Unexpected Situation

Zhou Yun used to always think that if two people were often apart, their relationship couldn’t be good.

But having been with Song Chi for so long, she didn’t feel that their relationship had been affected at all.

She never felt distant from Song Chi.

Song Chi never gave her such a feeling either.

Zhou Yun had a sense of profound connection—as if, at times, she and Song Chi shared a subtle link across the vast Milky Way.

If she were to tell others this, they would of course think it was just her wishful thinking.

But this was her unique feeling, one that only belonged to her and Song Chi.

And she believed that Song Chi felt the same way.

They were both working hard, striving in the career they loved.

Being an actor can be easy or hard.

They didn’t choose the easier path; they walked a road fewer traveled, a tougher journey.

But walking this road, they both found it sweet and fulfilling.

Xin Zhike was also preparing to finish up. He walked to the studio entrance and saw Zhou Yun looking up at the sunset, asking, ”Enjoying the sunset?”

”Yes.”

”It’s beautiful.”

”Yes.”

Xin Zhike chuckled with delight.

As the filming neared its end, there were fewer and fewer actors left in the crew. In the end, only the three of them remained.

Xu Jinbo was particularly nervous, afraid that any of the three would feel unwell, or something unexpected would happen. If so, there would be no one to step in, nor could they shoot other scenes first.

So, Xu Jinbo was almost constantly attentive, caring about the three’s health every day.

Actually, this is also why the actors received especially good treatment in the crew.

In the production of film and television dramas, anyone can be replaced, including the director. It’s not uncommon for a director to run off halfway through and another to take over suddenly. But actors cannot be replaced. Even if you find the actor’s performance is particularly bad halfway through, you can only grit your teeth and continue filming; you can’t have midway through the film a different actor appear on screen, with a large caption saying, ”The character I’m playing was previously played by XX because XX can’t continue, so I’m taking over.”

Zhou Yun, Yuk Chu, and Xin Zhike were almost always at the site every day. Towards the end, it was basically their scenes.

The progress was faster than expected, and at the current pace, the series could wrap up by mid-November.

Zhou Lan had already started planning the trip to the United States.

The momentum and reputation of ”Behind the Scenes” have been promising over in the United States, already garnering several precursor award nominations. Of course, these so-called precursor awards aren’t the few critical ones, so no promotions have started domestically.

If ”Behind the Scenes” does continue to rise in esteem, Shi Luoqi and the others would certainly join in promoting it domestically.

However, to everyone’s surprise, Zhou Yun and Yuk Chu both got sick at the same time.

It wasn’t anything serious, just colds and fevers.

The reason, probably, was that during the transition between autumn and winter, with the weather alternating between hot and cool, they caught colds because they didn’t add or remove clothing in time.

Upon learning the news, Xu Jinbo’s vision turned dark for a moment, and he promptly contacted the hospital the next second.

He hurriedly rushed to Zhou Yun’s room, saying, ”Xiao Yun, how are you feeling? I’ve already contacted the hospital. I’ll send you and Xiao Chu to the hospital to get an IV drip and bring down your fever.”

Zhou Yun waved her hand, looking dispirited and listless.

”Let’s go to the set first,” she said. ”We’ll go to the hospital for the IV drip after we finish filming today.”

Xu Jinbo was startled.

Emotionally, he wanted Zhou Yun to go to the hospital first.

But from a rational standpoint, if Zhou Yun and Yuk Chu both went to the hospital for drips during the day, today would surely be delayed.

He wasn’t sure if Zhou Yun could still hold on now.

Seeing Zhou Yun’s expression, she didn’t look good and appeared very low in spirits.

Xu Jinbo also worried that in her current state, she wouldn’t act well on set.

Seeing Xu Jinbo hesitate, Zhou Yun waved her hand and said, ”Don’t worry, I’m not feeling too terrible, I’m just tired. First, shoot my scenes with Xin Zhike. Let Yuk Chu go to the hospital first, and she can come back after her fever comes down. I’ll hold on until filming ends tonight and then go. I can manage.”

Listening to Zhou Yun’s slightly hoarse voice, Xu Jinbo felt embarrassed, but from the crew’s perspective, this was actually the best and most suitable approach.
