Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 973: Chapter 588: Wrap Shooting_4

But she didn’t expect that shortly after she posted on Weibo, Song Chi sent her a message asking: Have you already arrived at the hotel?

Zhou Yun was surprised and asked: I just posted a photo of the sky, and you recognized it?

Song Chi laughed and said: Because at this exact time, the sky I saw looked the same.

Zhou Yun: Come on, the sky in the photo looks a bit different from what I saw with my eyes.

Song Chi said: Alright, I admit, I guessed.

Zhou Yun asked: Have you had dinner?

Song Chi said: Not yet, it’s about to be served.

Zhou Yun said: Then focus on filming, don’t chat with me, I’ll rest at the hotel for a while.

Song Chi said: Okay, I’ll come find you after finishing here.

Zhou Yun said: Alright.

Unexpectedly, Song Chi didn’t come back all night.

Zhou Yun waited until she fell asleep, and when she woke up the next morning, it was already eight o’clock.

She found that her phone had shut down due to lack of power at some point.

With a gasp, she woke up in shock, worried that Song Chi might have tried contacting her at night but couldn’t reach her. She quickly plugged her phone in to charge, turned it on, and immediately received Song Chi’s message from the early morning hours.

He said: Xiao Yun, go ahead and sleep, I’m likely pulling an all-nighter tonight.

And a message from ten minutes ago: I just finished filming, on my way back.

Zhou Yun immediately replied: Are you there yet? I fell asleep...

But Song Chi didn’t reply right away.

Zhou Yun thought Song Chi might have fallen asleep in the car going back to the crew.

After staying up overnight, Song Chi probably couldn’t keep his eyes open.

As an actor herself, Zhou Yun knew well how draining pulling an all-nighter could be.

At dawn, you don’t feel hope, but rather a sense of exhaustion.

Zhou Yun rubbed her face and went to the bathroom to freshen up.

Afraid of missing Song Chi’s messages, she took her phone into the bathroom with her.

After brushing her teeth and washing her face, Zhou Yun felt a bit more awake.

Song Chi called.

”Hello?”

The voice sounded like it just woke up, very hoarse.

Zhou Yun asked: ”Are you awake? At the hotel?”

”Yes, just got here.”

”Then I’ll come to find you,” Zhou Yun said, ”Which room are you staying in?”

”I... Did you have breakfast yet? How about we meet in the restaurant?” Song Chi said, ”Let’s have breakfast together.”

”Are you still having breakfast? After staying up all night, shouldn’t you want to sleep?” Zhou Yun said.

”I’ll eat and then sleep,” Song Chi said, yawning, ”I’m really tired, haven’t stayed up like this in ages, it’s exhausting, I feel like my bones are mush.”

Zhou Yun felt a bit distressed hearing this.

”Alright, let’s meet in the restaurant,” Zhou Yun thought. It might be good for Song Chi to eat breakfast and then sleep.

She headed to the restaurant, coincidentally meeting someone leaving a room.

It seemed to be another hotel guest, a man, appearing to be around his fifties, wearing formal attire, quite fit, clearly someone who regularly manages their physique strictly.

The man recognized her at once, his expression changed.

Zhou Yun nodded slightly, greeting him, and moved ahead.

”You’re Zhou Yun?” The man hurried after her, flashing a smile, ”Are you alone?”

Zhou Yun said: ”My team is waiting for me in the restaurant, sir, is there anything you need?”

She directly conveyed her wariness and distance through her expression.

The man laughed and said: ”You’re heading to the restaurant? Perfect, I’m going there too.”

The man was also a guest at the hotel, Zhou Yun couldn’t stop him from going to the restaurant.

Moreover, he was merely being a bit chummy, not doing anything that annoyed her.

After entering the elevator, Zhou Yun put on her sunglasses.

She didn’t want to be casually recognized and have to chat anymore.

The man turned to look at Zhou Yun a few times before speaking again, asking: ”You’re here to see Song Chi, aren’t you? I met Song Chi in the elevator yesterday; you two are dating, right? I remember reading news about you two being in a relationship.”

Zhou Yun gave him a slight smile without responding.

She feared that if she replied, this person would start speaking more enthusiastically.

She hoped this person would be tactful and stop talking to her.

Zhou Yun wasn’t used to talking too much with strangers.

Yet the man didn’t seem to catch Zhou Yun’s smile’s underlying meaning, continuing his monologue: ”Being young is wonderful, you two are so young and famous, admired by many young people, haha. When I was young, I was a fan too, I really liked Alan Tam and bought quite a few of his tapes.”
