My Alleged Husband

Chapter 173: Chapter 157 Morning Han’s First Encounter_1

Time swiftly passed by, and Li Jiayuan and Xiao Wei had been living in the United States for ten years now. In these ten years, they had given Nian Jun two younger brothers, and they were twins no less. When Xia Jing and Zhang Zhentian learned of this news, they were so thrilled that they couldn’t stop smiling. They had never imagined Xiao Wei and Li Jiayuan would have three children, believing that having many siblings to help and support each other was wonderful. Xia Jing couldn’t help but feel a bit envious of Li Jiayuan!

Xiao Wei and Li Jiayuan named their twin sons Lei Shao and Lei Kai!

Lei Jian and Zhang Yichen were born in the same year, and ten years had already passed. Lei Jian and Zhang Yichen were now ten years old.

One day, Zhang Yichen went out to train with his grandfather, Old Master Zhang. His grandfather threw him into a small valley, intending for him to find his way out within three days with only enough food for one. It was in this valley that Zhang Yichen met a little girl named Ran Zhihan. At the time, Zhang Yichen was injured in the mountains by a fierce tiger. He had struggled immensely to escape the clutches of the tiger, and after running desperately, he only realized he was hurt when he reached the bottom of the valley—his arm was wounded, and the pain left him breathless. He had forgotten to bring pain medication, and with only enough food for two meals, he had to endure for two more days. How could he possibly hold on? It was then that a little girl with braided hair hopped down from the mountaintop. When she reached the bottom of the valley, she saw Zhang Yichen lying there, his arm still bleeding. She approached Zhang Yichen and said, ”Little brother, are you okay, your arm is bleeding—does it hurt? I have band-aids and pain medication. Do you want some?”

Zhang Yichen, groggy, opened his eyes and saw such a cute little girl. He felt a bit excited to see her.

The little girl saw the boy before her staring fixedly at her, and she became shy. She spoke to Zhang Yichen, ”Brother, why are you staring at me like that? Do you think I’m ugly?”

Zhang Yichen heard Ran Zhihan’s words and quickly responded, ”Little sister, what are you thinking? Brother thinks you’re really pretty, which is why I can’t stop looking at you. Don’t you think you’re beautiful?”

Ran Zhihan, upon hearing Zhang Yichen call her pretty, felt very happy. She smiled, her cheeks flushed, and told Zhang Yichen, ”Brother, don’t say so much. Look, your arm is still bleeding. Let me bandage it for you, and then we can play together, okay?”

Only then did Zhang Yichen remember his injured arm. He looked at his hand and replied to Ran Zhihan with a carefree smile, ”It’s okay, this little injury doesn’t hurt a bit. It’s just a bit of blood. What should a man fear? It doesn’t hurt at all.”

Ran Zhihan laughed heartily and softly said to Zhang Yichen, ”Brother, if you’re hurt, how can it not hurt? I’ve been hurt before, I know it can hurt a lot. And you’re bleeding so much right now. Please, let me bandage you—it won’t hurt at all with the pain medication. Or do you think my bandage and pain medicine are worthless? If that’s the case, I won’t use them on you. My family is quite poor, and my parents are commoners, not like the children of rich families, so we don’t have much. But I am very happy. By the way, brother, where are your parents?”

If it had been before, when Zhang Yichen heard others ask where his parents had gone, he would lash out at them, because he hated his parents and he didn’t want anyone to bring up his father or mother in front of him. But facing Ran Zhihan, this beautiful little girl, he couldn’t bear to get angry at her. He smiled, gently stroked Ran Zhihan’s hair, and said to her, ”Little sister, my parents aren’t here. Actually, I’m quite envious of you. Your parents may be commoners, but at least they stay by your side. My parents, although wealthy, abandoned me. Do you think I’m very pitiful? Do you know that my parents don’t want me anymore, and that’s why you don’t want your brother?”

When Ran Zhihan heard what Zhang Yichen said to her, she shook her head and said to him, ”Brother, why would you think like that? You’re the most beautiful boy I have ever seen in the world. How could I not want to talk with my brother? Actually, I’ve always had a wish. I hope that when I grow up, I can marry someone as handsome as you. I don’t care how rich his family is, I just hope he can cherish me and love me well. That’s enough for me. Do you find my wish a bit funny?”

Zhang Yichen’s eyes widened when he heard Ran Zhihan’s wish. He hadn’t expected such a small girl to have such an audacious wish. Was this girl complimenting his looks, or saying he wasn’t handsome? Zhang Yichen asked, ”Little sister, why don’t you wish for him to be very rich, but only that he loves you?”

”To be honest and I hope you don’t mind, I feel that many wealthy people look down on daughters of commoners like us. They bully daughters of commoners. Though my parents are commoners, I love them very dearly. Regardless of whether they have money or not, the fact that they brought me into this world is the greatest gift. With parents like them, how can I not love them? It’s true, we are very poor at home and can’t afford many things, but my parents give me the best they have. Having my parents’ love is enough for me, I don’t ask for a family fortune; I only hope that my parents will continue to love me unceasingly and will not abandon me for other reasons!”

”You’re right, little sister. Have you ever hated someone? I should put it this way, if your parents abandoned you, would you hate them?”

”I wouldn’t be angry with my parents, I would even be grateful to them. Without them, I would never know how excellent I am. If they hadn’t brought me into this world, I would never have had the chance to see it. If they hadn’t gone through the hard work of giving birth to me, I wouldn’t have met you today. Brother, actually, many times there’s no need to look at people with eyes full of hatred, because hatred can really blind a person, make one lose reason. To truly hate someone, even if one day my parents abandon me, I won’t hate them, because the grace of their giving me life is greater than heaven. My mother said that no mother would willingly abandon her own child and leave alone. Perhaps it’s because there is something that needs to be done, or some situation that has left no way out, and so they have to choose to leave. At the time, I didn’t understand what my mother meant, but she said I would understand as I grew up. Brother, do you understand what she means?”

”I don’t know either, little sister. You want to marry a man as handsome as brother, right? Then, when I grow up, how about I come and marry you?”

Ran Zhihan’s eyes went wide. Could she have heard wrong? The boy in front of her was saying he would come to marry her when she grew up? This couldn’t be a dream, right? She said to Zhang Yichen, ”Brother, you’re not lying to me, right? I don’t want someone to lie to me. The husband I find in the future has to be truly honest and especially loyal. I definitely don’t want a husband who is a little liar.”

”Hahaha, little sister, you’re thinking too much. Brother isn’t a bad person. I’ve always been a very loyal man. Since you’ve said that, then let’s make a promise. Ten years from now, I’ll come here to marry you, and you must wait for me, okay?”

”Okay, then I’ll wait for brother. If ten years from now, you really do come here to marry me, I will definitely marry you. But if you don’t come by then, you’ll be a liar.”
