Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 500: Chapter 49: Island Construction

The animals are living comfortably, and Chen Wen is naturally very happy.

After playing with the animals for a while, he met with the director, Jiang Xue, once again.

This time, it’s mainly about sponsorship.

On one hand, Chen Wen now has some money, and on the other hand, his animals eat quite a lot and are rather picky.

For example, the crested honey buzzard must eat bee larvae and honey, the yellow-throated marten must eat live chickens, and the clouded leopard only eats live prey.

These guys have made the other animals they brought along start to become picky as well.

When it comes to animals, Jiang Xue does not skimp.

She directly recorded the things the animals like to eat and specifically set up a procurement position for Chen Wen’s animals to buy food for this group of animals.

Seeing Jiang Xue’s initiative, Chen Wen thought he should contribute a bit to the food expenses.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t feel right about it.

Jiang Xue understood Chen Wen’s thoughts and accepted it when she saw the amount was not outrageous.

Meanwhile, Jiang Xue also expressed her plans for the future of the zoo to Chen Wen.

She plans to start live streaming.

The opportunity arose from Chen Wen’s recent rescue, with the animals he tamed sparking great discussion among netizens.

This made Jiang Xue see the hidden value in the animals.

Plus, the number of animals is increasing, and the zoo cannot rely solely on Chen Wen’s sponsorship.

Compared to opening the zoo for close-up visits,

Jiang Xue prefers the live streaming method with just a single camera.

Regarding live streaming, Chen Wen naturally supports it strongly.

He helped Jiang Xue contact Hua Yun to share some live streaming experience.

At the same time, Chen Wen also connected with several famous zoos in Yun Province through Xu Yong.

Allowing Jiang Xue to directly interact with their directors and gain a wealth of experience.

Jiang Xue was quite surprised and grateful for this.

Chen Wen himself was also surprised.

Unknowingly, he had successfully achieved a social leap.

He could now make a call directly to a director’s desk, something he couldn’t imagine when he first crossed over.

With matters at the zoo concluded,

Chen Wen met again with his two assistants.

”Are you ready? We probably won’t be back for six months on this trip.”

Chen Wen said, looking at Jiang Chang and Lin Jiawei, who he hadn’t seen in a while.

Lin Jiawei nodded, ”Don’t worry, I’ve already arranged things at home. When my parents found out you were the hero of the Ailao Mountain rescue, they specifically reminded me to ensure your conditions were optimal.”

Chen Wen rubbed his forehead.

He couldn’t bear hearing that.

Lin Jiawei and Jiang Chang both burst into laughter.

”I’m easier to arrange, my family has always supported my work.”

Jiang Chang said.

Chen Wen nodded, ”Okay, according to the plan, you guys first head to the capital of Canada’s northwest region, Huangdao City. I’ll meet a friend abroad first, and we’ll meet at Huangdao City.”

Upon hearing this, Jiang Chang and Lin Jiawei both nodded.

As they parted, lifestyle assistant Jiang Chang asked, ”Do you need me to book your ticket?”

”No need for that.”

Chen Wen shook his head.

This time, he’s meeting an old friend, the Yukon tycoon Belmont, and the real estate merchant Edmon who sold him the island.

The main purpose of the meeting is to check on the construction situation on the island.

According to the progress Belmont mentioned during their last contact, the basic infrastructure of the island is already mostly in place.

Chen Wen was eager to visit the site to see the situation, and coincidentally inspect the infrastructure along with the people sent by Lv Guocheng.

Consider it a mini-acceptance inspection.

...

Riding Belmont’s private jet, Chen Wen flew directly from the country to his little island.

After several hours passed, the plane steadily landed on the newly constructed runway.

”Chen Wen, long time no see!”

The excited Belmont, who hadn’t seen Chen Wen for a while, warmly extended his hand.

Chen Wen cheerfully went forward, ”Belmont, long time no see!”

After a few pleasantries, Edmon also came over.

He shook hands with Chen Wen, smiling, and expressed that thanks to Chen Wen, his family’s crisis had greatly eased.

Everything is currently thriving.

Chen Wen smiled and nodded outwardly, but internally muttered a bit.

This ”thriving” isn’t exactly a good term.

Led by Edmon, Chen Wen and the two others rode a sightseeing car, exploring the island along the newly paved bluestone road.

”According to your blueprints.”

Edmon handed a map to Chen Wen, which contained two maps.

One was the final completion map, and the other was the road map that was already done.

”At present, we’ve laid out the roads and completed the construction of power facilities.”

Looking at the bluestone roads with a distinct Jiangnan style, Chen Wen was very satisfied.

The quality was good, and the appearance quite matched his aesthetic.

”Very nice, I like it.”

Chen Wen remarked, listening to Edmon continue the introduction.

”As long as you like it.”

Edmon rubbed his hands, showing eagerness, ”This is also my first attempt at adopting Hua Country’s architectural style. I must say, Hua Country’s ancient architecture is very worth referencing, combining practicality with unique aesthetics.”

”The roads are like this for now, and according to the plan, I’ve planted a lot of grass elsewhere. The climate here is warm and humid, so the grass grows quickly.”

Chen Wen looked at the lush green lawn, feeling refreshed.

”Regarding electricity, considering this place is rather remote, traditional power supply methods can’t be used. I’ve referenced your country’s island power supply methods, which entail multi-method power generation plus storage and regulation through an integrated independent microgrid project.”

”For power generation, with the installation of solar and wind power devices, and the unique wave power generation device from Hua Country, the island’s electricity needs are fully met, with plenty to spare.”

”Then there’s the energy storage setup, taking into account the potential typhoon season. According to past data, though the impact in this area isn’t major, the occurrence of unusual weather has been increasing. I’ve referenced Hua Country’s methods to set up storage facilities to maintain power supply when generation isn’t possible.”

Edmon spoke about the power facilities with great enthusiasm.

It seems he’s very satisfied with this round of power construction.

Chen Wen heard about this from Lv Guocheng.

When Chen Wen was there, Lv Guocheng was helping oversee this island.

Thus, the island could use the facilities from Hua Country.

Especially the wave power generation device, which is said to be the latest achievement of a domestic high-tech research team.

The team’s leader is well-acquainted with Lv Guocheng.

Thanks to that, Chen Wen could utilize these facilities.

Aside from the roads and power facilities, there’s not much else.

But seeing the pile of building materials, Chen Wen felt the new home might be completed sooner than expected.

After completing the tour,

Belmont said, ”By the way, once your new home is completed, you’ll definitely need to hire some people to manage it. Do you have any ideas?”

Chen Wen felt a bit troubled hearing this.

This was indeed something he was constantly considering.

”If you really don’t have any ideas, I can help you contact an organization specializing in providing household staff for the wealthy.”

Upon hearing this, Chen Wen became vigilant, ”Your venture?”

Belmont laughed heartily, ”Haha, how could it be? I’m just a client of that organization. The waitstaff you encountered at the Yukon Hotel was actually an advanced servant provided by that organization.”

Chen Wen recalled.

The waitstaff there were truly excellent, not only multilingual but also quick and skillful, and maintained boundaries well.

”The organization can also provide customized servants, for instance, if you require people who can take care of animals.”

This piqued Chen Wen’s interest right away.

”Tell me more.”
