Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 501: Chapter 50: Arrival at the Wilderness Survival Show Crew

After chatting about these miscellaneous matters on the island.

Belmont hosted and invited Chen Wen and Edmond to dine together.

During the meal, Edmond shared some news with Chen Wen.

”This is something I only heard about recently.”

Edmond put down his knife and fork and said somewhat seriously, ”Mr. Chen, it seems that you have caught the attention of Hunting Owl.”

Hunting Owl, again.

Chen Wen nodded, ”Most likely, what’s up?”

Edmond paused and said, ”Some of my clients are fond of exotic pets, and some of them are clients of Hunting Owl. Not long ago, they told me that Hunting Owl has issued a hit order on you.”

A hit order?

This archaic term made Chen Wen pause for a moment.

”In simple terms, whoever within their organization can kill you in an honorable duel will become the third leader of the organization.”

Edmond said, ”This is a tempting offer, and I heard that many members of the organization are probing for your whereabouts.”

Well well.

Chen Wen grinned, ”Let them come, but I want to know, is there a bounty on this group?”

Bounty...

Edmond and Belmont exchanged glances, seemingly not expecting Chen Wen to say that.

”Seems you are quite confident.”

Belmont raised his glass towards Chen Wen, ”As for a bounty, there likely is one, especially from their two leaders.”

”That’s good then.”

Chen Wen raised his glass as well.

...

After the meal, Chen Wen did not linger much longer.

He met with Lv Guocheng again to arrange some matters.

Regarding the zoo, investments, and some island construction matters.

In addition, Chen Wen also signed a contract with Lv Guocheng.

After the end of the wilderness solo, Chen Wen would become the official spokesperson for Lv Guocheng’s outdoor equipment.

This was something Lv Guocheng proposed at the end of their time on the island.

Nothing much remained after that.

After resting for two days domestically, Chen Wen took a plane to the northwest region of Canada.

Huangdao City Airport.

After Jiang Chang and Lin Jiawei picked up Chen Wen, the three of them transferred to an off-road vehicle provided by the wilderness solo program team, crossed the city, and reached the town.

There, they met with people from the program team.

The chief director of the wilderness solo is named Greg, a genuine American.

As soon as he saw Chen Wen, he immediately showed a delighted smile.

”Champion candidate! Welcome!”

Greg made no effort to hide his optimism about Chen Wen, opening with ”champion candidate,” drawing attention from the surrounding staff.

In the face of Greg’s unabashed optimism, Chen Wen modestly replied, ”Not at all, this time the lineup is very impressive, I can’t be considered a champion candidate.”

Greg laughed and patted Chen Wen on the shoulder, acting naturally familiar, ”You people from Hua Country are just too modest, which often leads others to underestimate you, but when it comes to the crunch, it’s you who can be relied on!”

”Less small talk, let’s sign the contract first.”

The wilderness solo show in this world is fully titled ”Wilderness Solo: One Hundred Days.”

It’s a top-rated survival program.

Due to its harsh schedule, extreme survival locations, and the quality of the contestants, it is often referred to as the Olympics of wilderness survival.

This is not said casually, but is recognized by various national survival associations.

Unlike the global audience’s recognition in the previous world.

And the contract Chen Wen was signing included not just an employment contract, but also a series of waiver contracts.

Wilderness Solo only guarantees that rescue can arrive within ten minutes during the survival period.

If they do not arrive within ten minutes, the program team will bear the responsibility.

But if they arrive within ten minutes and something happens to you, the program team won’t be responsible.

A very Western-style waiver contract.

In addition, Wilderness Solo provides each contestant with a base salary of ten thousand US dollars.

In a series of wilderness survival competitions, this is already a very low salary.

But if you can win the championship, you will receive a million dollars!

The championship prize is incredibly high!

Chen Wen, along with a lawyer who came with him, reviewed the contract, and after confirming there were no issues, he signed his name.

After signing the contract, Chen Wen officially became one of the contestants in the seventh season of Wilderness Solo.

”Very well, half of the contestants have already arrived.”

Chief director Greg smiled, ”There is another contestant arriving today, and I want to go see that one; if everything is fine, I’ll have a staff member accompany you to answer your questions.”

Chen Wen and Greg weren’t particularly familiar, so he didn’t say much more.

After bidding farewell to Greg, a staff member joined Chen Wen’s group.

One has to admit, as a program that has survived to its seventh season.

Wilderness Solo’s facilities and services are quite commendable.

As the staff member led Chen Wen and his two assistants to the accommodation, they said, ”Due to some special reasons, the survival start date has been postponed by half a month. You are free to arrange your next month as you see fit; you can choose to adapt to survival on your own or rest in the accommodation we provided.”

”The contestants’ profiles will be given to your work assistant once everyone has arrived, and the information about the area and each survival point will be delivered to your room in the evening.”

”The selection of props and initial recording will take place a month later, and I will give your work assistant a week’s notice in advance.”

Listening to the staff member’s orderly arrangements, Chen Wen nodded repeatedly.

As he was about to reach his room door, the staff member said, ”This is my personal contact information, keep it safe, and contact me anytime if you need. I reside at the end of this floor, so if there’s nothing else, you can rest now.”

Hearing this, Chen Wen asked, ”I remember that contestant Hua Yun has already arrived, right? Where is she?”

The staff member paused upon hearing this question, ”Please wait a moment.”

He opened his phone and seemed to communicate with a colleague.

A moment later, the staff member said, ”Contestant Hua Yun is currently resting in her room; she arrived yesterday. If you need, I can give you her contact information.”

After getting her contact information, Chen Wen let the staff member leave.

He entered the room with Jiang Chang and Lin Jiawei.

It was a suite with three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and two bathrooms.

Although not large in total area, it was spacious enough for three people.

”Looks like the three of us will be living together this time.”

Chen Wen examined the room layout and looked at Jiang Chang, ”How about you? If you need a separate room, I can communicate with the program team for you.”

Jiang Chang waved his hand, ”I’m good.”

With the accommodation settled, all that remained was food.

Chen Wen had Jiang Chang ask the program team for some ingredients.

This time, unlike in the Yukon, the program team had limited funds, not extravagant like Belmont.

Contestants who want to eat must either cook for themselves or pay for delivery.

But the program base was in a small town, and there weren’t many delivery options.

Thus, asking the program team for ingredients to cook was the most feasible option.

After Jiang Chang went out.

Chen Wen and Lin Jiawei did a simple cleaning of the room, checking whether the living supplies were complete.

For the missing items and the winter clothes needed, etc.

Chen Wen and Lin Jiawei made a list, planning to go shopping in the afternoon.

Once Jiang Chang returned, the three discussed the afternoon’s plans.

Jiang Chang and Lin Jiawei would go out shopping, while Chen Wen went to meet Hua Yun to inquire about the adaptive survival situations.

After all, before he arrived, Hua Yun had already undergone several months of targeted training here.

After reaching out to Hua Yun, she told Chen Wen to come directly to her room.
