Chapter 481: Chapter 30: The Giant Wild Boar

The clouded leopard hadn’t even finished speaking when the yellow-throated marten swiftly climbed up the tree.

The bobcat beside it was no slower than the marten, placing its front paws on the tree, and in a flash, it too had climbed up.

In the blink of an eye, only the clouded leopard was left on the ground, its movements sluggish due to its injuries.

However, despite its injuries, the clouded leopard still managed to climb the tree at a decent pace.

The three animals hid among the tree’s dense branches and leaves, staring at the distant underbrush.

A few breaths later, the clouded leopard spotted the animal.

It stood on all fours, its body massive, and with each step, it seemed to make the ground tremble.

Moreover, long tusks protruded from the corners of its mouth, signaling it was not to be trifled with!

”Chen Wen! There’s a situation!”

The bobcat cried out, waking Chen Wen from his daze.

When Chen Wen turned and saw the scene, he was momentarily stunned.

Only to see a massive wild boar pushing through the bushes, slowly approaching.

Wild boar!

Small ones weigh several dozen pounds, while larger ones can grow to four or five hundred pounds, making them quite dangerous mammals.

The wild boar in front of Chen Wen seemed to weigh about two hundred pounds, impressively large.

And extremely dangerous!

Because it was male and had very long tusks.

Moreover, it was a special animal.

Its temperament was aggressive, and its current mood was furious!

Why was it always these creatures?

Back in the Caprivi, Chen Wen had encountered an aggressive hippo.

Taming it was incredibly challenging.

If it weren’t for his agile movements making the hippo feel attacking Chen Wen was futile, taming it might have required even more effort.

Unexpectedly, in this forest, he encountered another aggressive wild boar.

Chen Wen had mixed feelings about the aggressive temperament; he both disliked and appreciated it.

Such animals required immense effort to tame, but once tamed, they became extremely loyal.

Before Chen Wen could think of a way to deal with the aggressive boar, it attacked.

Infuriated by its aggression, it launched an all-out assault on Chen Wen.

Accompanied by a piercing roar, the boar lowered its head and charged forward like a small tank.

Chen Wen took a deep breath and immediately leapt behind a nearby large tree to avoid the attack.

Crack!

The large tree emitted a strained sound under the impact, while its branches and leaves continuously fell.

After colliding with the tree, the wild boar shook its head, as if nothing had happened, and once again charged at Chen Wen.

Thick Skin, even more ridiculous than a hippo!

Chen Wen looked at the wild boar and couldn’t help but think to himself.

He thought for a moment, then decisively climbed up the tree.

The wild boar, unable to climb, could only vent its fury below, gnawing incessantly at the tree roots, trying to topple the tree Chen Wen was on.

”Oh boy, does it think it’s a beaver?”

Chen Wen couldn’t help but quip.

That’s when the wild boar looked up and let out a fierce cry.

Chen Wen ignored the boar; he turned to the other animals in the other tree: ”How are you guys? Are you hurt?”

The bobcat replied, ”We’re all fine, and you?”

”I’m definitely fine.”

Having said that, Chen Wen focused on the boar below, contemplating how to subdue it.

Currently, killing this wild boar directly didn’t seem feasible.

He lacked a weapon capable of inflicting fatal damage on it.

His only weapon, a hunting knife, would probably only cause surface wounds.

The wild boar had Thick Skin, with a layer of black bristles on its skin.

Male boars also have the habit of rubbing against tree stumps, rocks, and hard riverbanks.

This habit is meant to harden the skin into a protective layer during fights in mating season.

At the same time, it makes their skin tough and elastic, making it difficult for tools like machetes and hunting knives to harm them.

Only a long spear or similar piercing weapon could inflict effective damage.

As for transforming, while he could become a grizzly bear or elephant to crush the boar, Chen Wen preferred not to kill it.

He still wanted to attempt taming.

Wild boars, with their Thick Skin and strength, were impressive animals.

If he were to confront those poachers, he could use the wild boar’s traits to attack them.

Unless their firearms were particularly heavy weapons, the poachers wouldn’t be able to stop the boar.

Having made up his mind, Chen Wen called down to the boar, ”Hey! How about you come with me?”

As he opened communication, Chen Wen spent 10 points to unlock communication, allowing the boar’s sounds to be understood by the marten and others.

Hearing the voice from the tree, the boar stared blankly for a moment.

A moment later, it reacted.

”Go with you? On what grounds?”

”On the grounds that he can beat you half to death!”

Before Chen Wen could speak, the marten eagerly said, ”If you dare resist, we’ll deal with you!”

Hearing this, the already aggressive boar couldn’t hold back.

It gathered strength and charged toward the tree where the marten and others were perched.

The tree shook, and the marten and others quickly clung to the trunk to maintain stability.

”Come down! Let’s see who deals with who!”

The boar stomped its feet, roaring in anger.

Feeling the boar’s power, both the clouded leopard and bobcat were a bit surprised.

They didn’t provoke the boar but cautiously searched for escape routes to avoid being cornered by it.

The yellow-throated marten, however, wasn’t that concerned. It arrogantly said, ”If you’re a real male, come up here! Let’s duel one-on-one! I’ll rip out your tusks and pull out all your fur to weave into soccer balls!”

Man, the marten learned to curse from my memories, didn’t it?

The boar was enraged beyond measure.

It let out a series of furious, meaningless roars, gnawing angrily at the tree roots.

Seeing the marten was about to provoke further, Chen Wen quickly stopped it.

He was afraid the marten might provoke the boar to death.

This little guy seemed harmless, but in reality, it was sharp-tongued, in all aspects.

Once the boar’s mood calmed somewhat, Chen Wen asked, ”Hey, come with me. I’ll provide food and shelter.”

The boar snorted; it didn’t particularly dislike Chen Wen.

On the contrary, since he could talk and had a Friendly aura,

the boar considered Chen Wen a relatively close figure.

Thus, it looked up, ”Come down, let’s have a fight, and whoever wins decides!”

”Are you sure?”

Chen Wen retrieved an entry from his database—[Transformation (African elephant)].

”That’s right, if you can beat me and provide food and shelter, I’ll go with you and listen to you thereafter!”

The boar said, looking at the marten, ”If you lose, let it fight me!”

Before Chen Wen could respond, the marten interjected, ”Deal with it! Chen Wen, if you lose, I’ll tear it in half! Roast one half and eat the other raw!”

What on earth have you been learning!

With a wry smile, Chen Wen jumped down from the tree and faced the boar, ”Alright, let’s do it.”

”Then come... huh?”

The boar went from aggressive to deflated in less than five seconds.

Because right in front of it, Chen Wen activated the entry—[Transformation (African elephant)].

Within a second, his body twisted and deformed.

His skin expanded, with rapidly growing bones supporting it, while flesh grew between the skin and bones.

The once-handsome human visage twisted as two long tusks emerged from the corners of his mouth, like swords being drawn from their sheaths.

In just five seconds, Chen Wen vanished, replaced by the largest living land animal—the African bull elephant!
