Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2600: Chapter 2601: Return to Tianyun (167)

Taoming Ye gently pulled her closer, without getting up, simply kissed away her tears, and softly comforted her, ”Don’t cry, okay? It hurts me seeing you like this. I’ve woken up now, shouldn’t we be happy?”

Su Xing then sniffled, stopped crying, and snuggled closer to Taoming Ye.

Taoming Ye first kissed her eyes again, then kissed her lips, and chuckled lightly, ”Didn’t realize you’re such a crybaby.”

Su Xing immediately glared at him and retorted, ”Whose fault is that! If I were lying here, unable to wake up for seven days and nights, let’s see if you’d cry!”

Taoming Ye said with particular seriousness in a gentle voice, ”Cry, I’d definitely cry my heart out. Just for that reason, I can protect you and would do anything to keep you safe.”

”Don’t make me cry anymore!” Su Xing’s eyes reddened a bit, looking as if she might cry again. Her husband nearly lost his life protecting her, and just thinking about it made her want to cry again.

Taoming Ye chuckled, ”Didn’t mean to make you cry, just telling you the truth. You are healthier than I am, but I’d never stand by and watch you in danger. I sincerely don’t want you to get hurt a bit.”

Su Xing nodded and said in a muffled voice, ”I know. I do know. But I still hope you’ll take care of yourself first.”

Taoming Ye just smiled, saying nothing. He could promise her anything, except for this one thing, which he wouldn’t agree to.

Seeing his silence, Su Xing knew he still held onto the desire to protect her, feeling even more touched. So she didn’t dwell on the topic anymore and joyfully said, ”Darling, from now on, I’ll treasure you even more. I said it while you were in a coma, as long as you woke up, I’d treasure you even more.”

Taoming Ye laughed, ”You already treasure me greatly.”

”Not enough!”

Taoming Ye didn’t argue with her, instead saying, ”Then treasure me even more.”

”Uh-huh,” Su Xing immediately nodded happily.

Seeing her so happy, his heart warmed, his gaze grew more tender, ”Were you hurt at all?”

Su Xing immediately stretched out her left hand for him to see, ”Yes, look. But it’s scabbed over, and it’ll heal as it falls off. It’s not a big deal, and while focusing entirely on you at the time, I didn’t even feel the pain.”

Her left hand was burned while pushing the beam off his back.

Taoming Ye affectionately kissed her left hand, so gently, as if afraid to hurt her, yet it tickled Su Xing.

”Darling, stop kissing it, I really didn’t feel any pain at the time, but you’re tickling me now.” Unable to bear the tickling, Su Xing quickly pulled her left hand back, not letting him kiss it anymore.

Taoming Ye still felt deeply pained.

Su Xing caressed his gaunt pale face, lamenting, ”It’s really wonderful that you woke up, you have no idea how during your coma, I couldn’t stand seeing other couples in love, it made me think of how you’d treat me, how you’d treasure me if you weren’t unconscious.”

”Mm,” Taoming Ye softly responded, feeling even more sorrowful.

”Dad and mom are staying here, you probably don’t know, they’re in the other room. They’ve been worried about us since the day your accident happened, they’ve been here without leaving. If they knew you woke up, they’d definitely be happy, wait, I’ll go tell them you’re awake.”

Taoming Ye hurriedly grabbed her, stopping her, ”It’s the middle of the night, don’t disturb them, let them sleep well. Telling them in the morning wouldn’t be too late.”
