Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2597: Chapter 2598: Return to Tianyun (164)

”Yes, Princess.” The Minister of Justice promptly responded.

Once the Minister of Justice left, An Jing gently patted Su Xing’s hand to comfort her, but Su Xing showed no expression.

”Father, Mother, I’m going in to accompany my husband.” After speaking, Su Xing turned expressionlessly and entered the inner room, not waiting for An Jing and Su Changyi to speak.

Outside, An Jing and Su Changyi looked at their youngest daughter, Su Xing, who seemed dead; it pained them deeply.

An Jing looked at Su Yixing, ”Star, is there really no way?”

Su Yixing shook his head.

An Jing could only sigh. Now, they could only leave it to fate.

...

Su Xing neither ate nor drank, sitting by the bed, watching over Taoming Ye.

Seeing Su Xing not eat for a whole day, An Jing persuaded her, ”Don’t tire yourself out. If Mingye knew, he would be heartbroken. Also, you wouldn’t want Mingye to wake up and see you as thin as a skeleton, right? Or do you want to starve yourself to death? What if Mingye wakes up? Do you want him to live while you are already dead?”

It was only then that Su Xing agreed to eat, but since she had no appetite, she didn’t eat much, just a little.

At least she ate a bit.

Only then did An Jing and the others feel somewhat relieved.

Taoming Hai and Wan Banyan were already imprisoned in the Ministry of Justice’s prison, and their lives depended on when Su Xing decided they should die.

And Su Xing waited, waited for her beloved husband to wake up. If her husband never woke again and passed away, she would surely kill Taoming Hai and Wan Banyan to avenge her husband.

Tao Chengyin was very grateful that Su Xing didn’t implicate the Five Clans.

Mrs. Cao had fallen ill, lying in bed all day moaning, saddened that her son Taoming Hai might be executed by Su Xing at any moment.

Taoming Ye had been in a coma for seven days and still hadn’t woken up. On this day, even Gong Juechen and Ye Zhi came to Tao Mansion to visit.

Standing by the bedside, Gong Juechen looked at Taoming Ye and joked, ”Xin’er, I think you should give up; he probably won’t wake up.”

Sitting on the edge of the bed and holding Taoming Ye’s hand, Su Xing immediately glared at him with a murderous look.

Ye Zhi was also very displeased, pushed him, ”You and your jinxed mouth, just shut up! If you don’t speak, no one will think you’re mute! Coming to visit, who talks like you? You should say something good!”

Being scolded by Ye Zhi, Gong Juechen quickly changed his tone to ingratiate, ”Yes, yes, good words, good words. How about ’Mingye will wake up tonight’—is that good enough?”

Ye Zhi: ”...”

Still grinning, Gong Juechen said to Su Xing, ”Xin’er, Mingye will wake up tonight; don’t worry too much.”

Only then did Su Xing stop glaring at him with murderous intent.

An Jing smiled, ”Alright, you all have seen him, let’s go out now; Xin’er can stay and accompany Mingye alone. Let’s chat outside.”

Gong Juechen and Ye Zhi then went out.

Once Gong Juechen and the others were gone, the room was left with just Su Xing and the unconscious Taoming Ye.

Su Xing pursed her lips and then spoke in a choked, soft voice to her husband, ”Husband, whether you wake up or not, just say something to me, okay? We haven’t spoken for seven days; I really want to talk to you, want to hear you speak. You are so gentle, your voice is so gentle—I really like it, truly.”

As she spoke, Su Xing’s tears began to drop, ”I might never hear you speak again... I don’t want it to be like this... I don’t want... Please wake up... I don’t want you like this... Your wounds are healing; you should wake up...”
