Chapter 2571: Chapter 2572: Return to Tianyun (138)

Su Xing said again: ”Second brother said your poison can be cured, I am relieved now, our good days are still ahead, just thinking about it makes me happy.”

Taoming Ye said: ”Before, I very much wanted to cure my body, but after a long time, my body has always been like this, so I didn’t expect any more. Later, you married me, you gave your whole heart to me, and I gave my whole heart to you. I wanted even more to cure my body, even if I felt there was no hope, I still had such a desire. Now... you’re right, our good days are ahead. I used to worry that I wouldn’t be able to grow old with you, but now I’m not worried at all. When second brother cures me, I’ll be healthy and can make our days even better.”

Su Xing leaned over, lay on top of Taoming Ye, hugged him through the quilt, and said with a particularly grateful expression: ”Fortunately, you can be cured.”

Taoming Ye raised his hand, gently hugged her with one hand, touched her face with the other, and gently responded: ”Hmm.”

He also felt truly fortunate.

Being cured means he can live longer. Living longer means being together with her for longer.

Su Xing continued to chat with Taoming Ye for a while, and seeing that Taoming Ye was somewhat sleepy, she said: ”You sleep, once you’re asleep I’ll go sit with my parents for a bit.”

”Hmm.” Taoming Ye smiled and nodded, then closed his eyes. Because his body was really too tired, as soon as he closed his eyes, he fell asleep.

Seeing Taoming Ye fall asleep so quickly, Su Xing felt very distressed, but fortunately, her husband can be cured. Once he is cured, her husband’s body won’t be like this.

Thinking this way, she felt much more at ease.

After gently tucking her husband’s hand that was outside the quilt inside, Su Xing got up, quietly walked out, and went to the main hall to chat with her parents and brothers.

At noon, Taoming Ye was still sleeping, so Su Xing didn’t wake him up, and let Taoming Ye continue to sleep.

By the time of the afternoon, Taoming Ye was still not awake, but Madam Huo came to the palace, brought in by An Jing.

”Grandmother!” As soon as Su Xing saw Madam Huo coming, and dressed in a first-grade imperial decree outfit, looking particularly spirited, she happily rushed toward Madam Huo.

”Princess.” Seeing Su Xing, Madam Huo hurriedly wanted to salute Su Xing.

”Grandmother, you mustn’t!” Su Xing quickly helped Madam Huo up, preventing her from bowing.

Madam Huo, full of glory, said: ”This is custom.” Although this granddaughter is still her granddaughter, her status is now different, as she is a respected Princess, and although Madam Huo is now bestowed with a first-grade imperial decree, it still does not compare, so naturally, she should kneel.

Saying this, Madam Huo still wanted to kneel to Su Xing, but Su Xing, of course, stubbornly refused to let her kneel.

Upon hearing Madam Huo was here, An Jing came out from the main hall to greet her, seeing Su Xing stubbornly refusing to let Madam Huo kneel, she understood immediately what was happening, and smiled: ”Madam, no need for formalities. Xin’er has allowed you not to kneel, so naturally you needn’t kneel.”

Madam Huo didn’t recognize An Jing as the Queen, but hearing An Jing call the now Princess Su Xing ”Xin’er,” and considering An Jing’s age and her coming from the main hall, despite An Jing not wearing the Queen’s attire but ordinary clothes, Madam Huo could still deduce that An Jing was the Queen of Tianyun.

Only to see Madam Huo hurriedly step forward and salute: ”This humble servant greets the Queen, wishing the Queen a thousand years, a thousand years, a thousand thousand years.”
