Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2586: Chapter 2587: Return to Tianyun (153)

Su Xing’s smile grew broader, ”Imagine how lucky I am in my past life to be loved by them and those brothers.”

Taoming Ye laughed, ”I’m even luckier to have married you.”

Su Xing immediately grinned and said, ”I think marrying you is destiny~”

Taoming Ye loved hearing this from her and nodded tenderly. Originally, she was supposed to marry Taoming Hai, but she married him instead, and their relationship was so good. Isn’t that destiny?

The two strolled back to their courtyard sweetly. Once they returned to their room, with no outsiders around and without fear of eavesdroppers, Su Xing quickly asked, ”Husband, you took the medicine. Do you feel any reaction now?”

Taoming Ye burst into laughter, ”If there was a reaction so quickly, there wouldn’t be a need to take it for half a year.”

Su Xing seemed a bit disappointed, ”So, no reaction, huh? I thought there would be some reaction shortly after taking it.”

Taoming Ye said, ”I don’t feel anything for now. If I do feel something, I’ll let you know.” He paused and reassured her, ”Don’t be in such a hurry. I’ve started taking the medicine, and Second Brother’s medical skills are excellent. He said that within half a year, the poison in my body would be completely cleared, and it certainly will.”

”Yes, yes~”

On the fifth day after taking the antidote given by Su Yixing, Taoming Ye finally felt a bit of lightness in his body, and upon feeling this, he immediately told his beloved wife to make her happy.

Su Xing, hearing this, was indeed very happy, and she went to the kitchen at once to personally cook a meal for Taoming Ye.

However, since Taoming Ye was also taking the medicine that made his face pale, even though he felt very light internally, he still appeared as if he was about to depart from this world.

And the soup medicine Mrs. Cao sent daily was still non-toxic.

On this day, Wan Banyan came along with Taoming Hai to pay respects again to Su Xing, the Princess.

In fact, Wan Banyan had been resting quietly for a long time but had been delaying the visit. It was difficult to delay it any longer, so she came this day.

Before Wan Banyan could kneel, Su Xing laughed and said, ”You better not kneel; you’re pregnant. It wouldn’t be good if you hurt the child in your belly while paying respect.”

Wan Banyan was indeed glad not to kneel, but her heart was overthinking, feeling there was a hidden sting in Su Xing’s words, even thinking that Su Xing might be cursing her child, which ignited a flame in her heart. Nonetheless, she maintained a smiling face: ”Thank you, Princess, for exempting me from kneeling.”

No matter how unpleasant Wan Banyan was, she’s a pregnant woman now, and the child in her belly is innocent. Su Xing didn’t want to make things difficult for Wan Banyan. She said again, ”You should take good care of yourself during your pregnancy. Before the child is born, you don’t need to come to pay respects. This child might be Father’s eldest grandson.”

Upon hearing this, Wan Banyan thought even more, and she was so scared with cold sweat all over, feeling there were hidden needles in Su Xing’s words, thinking Su Xing might harm her child.

Ever since they were heard talking about how Taoming Ye and Su Xing would be childless, and even though Tao Chengyin tried hard to assure her that Su Xing wouldn’t pursue this matter, Wan Banyan still didn’t believe.

She was always paranoid, fearing Su Xing might chop off her head. So now, no matter what Su Xing says, Wan Banyan would overthink, believing Su Xing would harm her.

Seeing Wan Banyan standing there in a daze, saying nothing, Taoming Hai quickly nudged her and urged, ”Banyan, quickly thank the Princess. Before your child is born, you don’t need to come and pay respects. Just focus on having a good pregnancy.”
