Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2561: Chapter 2562: Return to Tianyun (128)

Taoming Ye shook his head gently and said, ”I’m fine, just a bit too happy today. Xin’er, you are now a Princess from this day forward.”

Su Xing immediately smiled.

Tao Chengyin said respectfully, ”Your Highness, first you were the Martial Champion, and now you are a Princess, unmatched in the world.”

Su Xing laughed and said, ”Father, you’re actually flattering me.”

Tao Chengyin immediately bent his waist a little more fearfully.

Su Xing found it even more amusing, ”Father, there’s no need for that. Even though I’m now a Princess, aren’t you still my father-in-law?”

Only then did Tao Chengyin straighten his back a little.

Mrs. Cao, Taoming Hai, and Wan Banyan were all kneeling. Although Su Xing originally didn’t want to call them up, since the three concubines and four common sons and daughters were also kneeling, and she usually got along well with them, she decided to let it slide and call them all up: ”Everyone, please rise.”

The others only dared to stand up then.

”Husband, the wind is strong here, and you mustn’t catch cold. Let’s go inside quickly,” Su Xing, fearing that Taoming Ye might catch a chill, supported him and wanted him to enter the Tao Mansion with her.

Taoming Ye’s eyes were full of gentleness. Although his wife had become a Princess, she was still so attentive to him, unchanged in the slightest. His heart was truly joyful.

Previously, Tao Chengyin dared to walk ahead of Su Xing, and even when Su Xing became the Martial Champion, Tao Chengyin dared to walk ahead of her. But now that Su Xing had become a Princess, Tao Chengyin didn’t dare to walk in front of her. He let Su Xing support Taoming Ye and walk at the front, while he followed a step behind.

The others lagged even further behind, fearing disrespect towards Princess Su Xing might bring disaster.

Upon reaching the main hall, Su Xing intended to sit as she usually did, in the place suitable for the eldest daughter-in-law of the house. But Tao Chengyin quickly, fearfully exclaimed, ”Princess, please take the chief seat, please take the chief seat.”

Su Xing laughed and said, ”Father, that’s the head of the family’s seat. It’s yours, you should sit there.”

”I dare not, I dare not,” Tao Chengyin became more fearful, ”The position of Princess is so distinguished now, and if you sit as before, no one in the house would dare to sit in the chief seat.”

Su Xing: ”...”

Taoming Ye laughed and said, ”Xin’er, now that you are a Princess, you should sit in that seat.”

Unaccustomed to sitting while her husband stood, Su Xing wanted to support her husband to sit, but Taoming Ye wouldn’t allow it.

”Xin’er, be good and follow the rules and sit accordingly,” Taoming Ye persuaded her.

Su Xing was a bit unhappy: ”What about you?”

Taoming Ye gently smiled and said, ”I will sit in my original position.”

Su Xing reminded him, ”You are now the Prince Consort.”

Before Taoming Ye could respond, Tao Chengyin laughed and said, ”Now that Míngyè is the Prince Consort, naturally he should sit next to the Princess,” meaning Taoming Ye should sit in the second seat.

Even though Taoming Ye politely refused to sit, Tao Chengyin personally helped place him in that seat next to Su Xing.

Below them, Mrs. Cao, Taoming Hai, and Wan Banyan accompanied with respectful smiles, yet felt extremely uncomfortable inside.

Seeing Taoming Ye sitting beside her, Su Xing finally reluctantly took the chief seat.

Watching everyone standing, Su Xing laughed and said, ”Father, you should all be seated too.”

”Ah,” Tao Chengyin and the others then took their seats. Tao Chengyin sat in the third-ranked position.

Mrs. Cao sat in the fourth position.

Taoming Hai sat in the fifth position.

In short, they were seated according to the hierarchy and status.

Once seated, Tao Chengyin and others inevitably accompanied by smiling faces, said a lot of flattering words to Su Xing.

Su Xing listened, only finding it amusing.

Just as Su Xing was getting annoyed and wanted to take her husband back to their courtyard, someone rushed in to report—
