Chapter 2557: Chapter 2558: Return to Tianyun (124)

”Yes, Mother.” Su Yi Jing responded.

An Jing looked at Su Yi Xing, ”Star, your brother-in-law Taoming Ye is unwell. Your Uncle Gong said he was poisoned; you need to treat him.”

Su Yi Xing immediately said, ”Don’t worry, Mother. I wasn’t aware before, but now that I know, I will certainly treat my brother-in-law.”

Su Xing promptly thanked him, ”Thank you, Second Brother.”

Su Yi Xing said, ”Why say that? You’re just being distant with your Second Brother. Although you weren’t raised by me as your elder brother, I am your brother, and that’s a fact that won’t change.”

An Yiyun laughed and said, ”Yes, Xin’er, we’re all family. Don’t be so distant in the future. Now that you’re here, Father and Mother don’t have to feel sad whenever they think of you.”

An Jing smiled and said, ”Let’s not talk about this anymore. Family is family, and that won’t change. Think about it, what would be a good title for Xin’er as a Princess?”

An Yiqi said, ”How about Princess Jiu An, hoping for lasting peace and stability, long-term tranquility?”

An Yilin immediately agreed, ”That’s good!”

Su Yi Jing and the others also expressed their approval.

An Jing and Su Changyi had no objections, so the title of Princess Jiu An was bestowed upon Su Xing.

Once the title was settled, An Jing held Su Xing’s hand and smiled, ”Xin’er, you’ll stay in the palace for now. Wait until your elder brother sends someone to issue the decree, then it’ll be fine for you to return. Also, from now on, you can’t call us ’Dad and Mom’. You must use ’Father and Mother’. And forget about ’adoptive father and mother’; as long as your Father and I don’t mind, no one will dare to correct you on this. In formal situations, you must address us as Queen Mother and King Father, understood?”

Su Xing smiled and said, ”I understand, Mother. Don’t worry; I won’t reveal anything.”

An Jing sighed with a smile, ”I truly can’t bear for you to go back to the Tao family, but not letting you go isn’t right either. You are, after all, married into the Tao family.”

An Yiqing laughed and said, ”Let’s have our little sister stay in the palace for a few days before going back.”

Su Xing said, ”I would love to stay a few days with Father, Mother, and my brothers, but I’m afraid my husband will worry.” She didn’t want to part with her family so soon after just seeing them again.

An Yiqing laughed and said, ”Elder Brother will have someone go to the Tao Mansion to issue the decree today, and that person can inform your brother-in-law. Just say you’ll stay in the palace for two days before going back. However, I heard from my father-in-law that Taoming Ye and his wife are very much in love, so if you refuse to stay in the palace for two days, it must be because you can’t bear for your husband to be alone at home.”

Su Xing laughed heartily and said, ”It’s not that I can’t bear it; it’s just that my husband is unwell, and I’m a bit worried. How about this: I’ll go back today and come again tomorrow, bringing my husband to stay for a few days. It will be a good chance for my husband to know you all, and also let Second Brother see if my husband’s poison can be cured.”

An Jing laughed and said, ”Although I still don’t want you to leave, your idea works too. Come again tomorrow, bring your husband, and stay a while longer before going back.”

”Alright, Mother.” Su Xing immediately nodded.

Su Yi Jing left first to draft the decree and sent it to the Tao Mansion. Meanwhile, Su Yi Xing and the others stayed in the palace where their parents lived.

An Jing even called her daughters-in-law and grandchildren to come and introduced Su Xing as her newly adopted daughter, allowing everyone to get acquainted. Soon enough, Su Xing became familiar with her sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces.
