Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2589: Chapter 2590: Return to Tianyun (156)

Aunt Zhou immediately kneels down in despair, pleading: ”I will definitely serve the Second Young Master and Second Young Lady well, just hope the Second Young Master and Second Young Lady won’t harm my family! I beg you!”

Wan Banyan just smiles.

Taoming Hai crouches, speaking in an even quieter voice: ”What we want you to do isn’t difficult; you just need to set a big fire in the courtyard where the Princess lives, killing her and the Prince Consort.”

Aunt Zhou is immediately terrified: ”I can’t, I can’t. I don’t dare. I don’t dare.”

Wan Banyan instantly sneers: ”You don’t dare? You’ll have to dare, or we’ll kill your eight family members, leaving no one alive.”

Upon hearing Wan Banyan’s threat to kill her family, Aunt Zhou quickly compromises and pleads: ”Second Young Lady, spare me, Second Young Lady. I dare, I dare. I will definitely start the fire and kill the Princess and the Prince Consort. I beg you, spare my family, please.”

”That’s good.” Wan Banyan chuckles arrogantly.

Taoming Hai then warns: ”If you get caught for this, you better not snitch on us, your entire family is in our hands. Even if we get caught, our people are watching your family. If they learn you snitched, they’ll definitely knife each one, ensuring your whole family reunites in hell.”

”Yes, yes, yes,” Aunt Zhou agrees repeatedly, ”Even if I die, I absolutely won’t expose you guys. I hope the Second Young Master and Second Young Lady keep their promise and really won’t harm my family.”

Wan Banyan laughs: ”Don’t worry, as long as you fulfill this task, I’ll not only release them unharmed but also give them a large amount of Silver Coin, letting them hide their identities elsewhere and settle down, surely living much better than they currently do with their early and hard work every day.”

Aunt Zhou says: ”I hope the Second Young Master and Second Young Lady keep their word. Once the fire is set, I surely won’t survive. If you don’t keep your promise to treat my family well, I won’t let you off even as a ghost.”

Wan Banyan and Taoming Hai whispered, to be honest, they are quite afraid of ghosts, though they’ve never actually seen one.

Casually, they both said: ”You’ll watch from heaven then, we will definitely treat them well.”

Only then does Aunt Zhou stop speaking.

It was Wan Banyan who spoke again: ”We only give you three days, if Su Xing and Taoming Ye aren’t dead in three days, we’ll have to move on your family.”

Aunt Zhou immediately replies: ”Don’t touch my family! I will definitely have everything done for the Second Young Master and Second Young Lady within three days!”

After Taoming Hai and Wan Banyan leave, Aunt Zhou immediately departs from Tao Mansion to her home, finds nobody there, and the place is a mess. She realizes her family is really in the hands of Taoming Hai and Wan Banyan, so she completely resigns herself and truly decides to set the fire within three days to kill Taoming Ye and Su Xing.

Once Wan Banyan and Taoming Hai finish intimidating Aunt Zhou, they happily return to their courtyard.

Already threatened by Aunt Zhou’s compliance, Wan Banyan feels Su Xing and Taoming Ye will be dead within three days, making Wan Banyan extremely pleased.

Being particularly pleased, people tend to become careless, without watching their step even while walking. At a turn of the corridor, she trips over a flower pot and falls flat to the ground.

”Banyan!” Taoming Hai is startled and can’t manage to help her. She is carrying his child in her belly.
