Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Of course, Beelzebub didn’t want to come out and discuss this issue with Lansendel.

But their reserve army has been stuck inside the gates of Hell for a long time due to this Lord of Dawn’s path.

Damn Cyric must have discovered this, that’s why he’s blocking Lansendel here for a chat!

The most crucial thing is, why were they so unlucky that it happened to be their turn to march on Hell when Lansendel showed up?

Beelzebub glanced mournfully in the direction where Grazt was hiding... Why was Six Fingers luckier than him?

But he had no choice but to come out.

After all, if these High-level Demons from Hell didn’t come out to act as cannon fodder, then he would have to go into battle himself.

Although the interests in Heavenly Mountain are enough to drive even a Grand Duke of Hell mad... But Beelzebub, who derives infinite energy by being a Protector for lying merchants, doesn’t want to take that risk at all.

Naturally, as the first official war initiated by Asmodier after becoming the Lord of Hell, someone like Beelzebub who leads a laid-back life also dared not not follow along... so he chose a job that’s also dangerous but offers a chance for escape—guarding the gate.

Who knew, he thought of many attack methods that could come from Heavenly Mountain but never imagined there’d be a Lansendel using the path!

This thing is more terrifying than the kamikaze attacks from Heavenly Mountain!

The order gods in Heavenly Mountain think that after driving the Battle Angels down to Hell, they can create new angels to continue as cannon fodder.

The angels they created this time indeed matched their expectations: thoughtless, entirely obedient, just tools of war.

But their strength... after all these years, still isn’t even equal to newly born Battle Angels!

So, in the face of the Dimensional Gate guarded by Grazt and Beelzebub, these famously titled, brilliantly shining big wings can only rely on suicide attacks to blow up the gate.

Beelzebub had this news long ago... otherwise, if the enemies were Battle Angels, why would he guard this crap?

He would have slipped back to Hell a long time ago!

Actually, what they feared most entering Heavenly Mountain was the order gods acting personally... Even though Asmodier said if they left the peak of Heavenly Mountain, their combat power, aside from their mouths, was inferior to these tool angels.

But the might cultivated by the order gods over the years still made the Dukes of Demons a bit fearful.

However, what utterly shocked Beelzebub was that Asmodier hadn’t lied at all!

Angels had been bombed a few rounds, yet not a single order god appeared.

Beelzebub truly couldn’t understand, but now, he believed it.

Those order gods were indeed as Asmodier said; even though they occupy Heavenly Mountain, they’re also captured by it. Once they leave that seemingly boundless but still top level of Heavenly Mountain, they can’t even stabilize their own Divine Souls.

No matter how powerful they are, if they can’t even leave their region... what’s the point?

Even though our demons can’t leave Hell, it doesn’t mean we can’t venture out to see the sights or toy with people’s minds!

The Abyssal Lords, tightly controlled by the Bottomless Abyss, didn’t seem to be this miserable!

Beelzebub glanced at the sky... mustered some courage before approaching Lansendel and asked the question.

Of course, he had such courage because during this period, he observed that this Lord of Dawn had no concern at all about their alliance with the Abyssal Demons!

He neither planned to help Heavenly Mountain nor intended to expel the wicked.

Which doesn’t really fit his Neutral Good Divinity... but does align with the jokes circulating in Hell and the Abyss regarding him: The Law of Evil and Chaos certainly doesn’t wish to win Lansendel’s favor.

This Lord of Dawn’s faction has never changed since its inception because no faction wishes for him to join them... and those in Neutral and Good feel they’ve borne enough and don’t want more added to their burden.

Beelzebub muttered this joke internally as a way to encourage himself... As a Grand Duke of Hell who’s lived long enough, he naturally knew it’s not that simple.

Choosing not to help either side between the order gods and Asmodier and merely spectating won’t cause any upheaval in the Deities’ factions... not even the purely Good faction has an issue, let alone Lansendel’s neutrality.

At most, some gods guided by the ’grace’ and ’teachings’ of the order gods have to come out to help.

Who told the order gods to fail to keep the secret, letting the truth that Asmodier and those Battle Angels were the original masters of Heavenly Mountain get exposed?

Heh~ they certainly didn’t want that, either.

Unfortunately, despite all their efforts, they couldn’t create another force of mightily intellectual Battle Angels.

Fueled by these random thoughts in his mind, Beelzebub barely managed to hold on under Lansendel’s intrigued gaze.

He truly felt a bit shaky inside!

Why does it seem like Lansendel is quite interested in him?

He, this so-called Lord of Lies, is merely fulfilling the desires of those who love deception, where does he warrant the attention of the Lord of Dawn?

Lansendel indeed pondered for a few seconds.

He wondered if he were to strike Beelzebub away, sending him plummeting next to some Divine Kingdoms that, despite not showing themselves, possessed considerable prowess, would it divert Cyric’s attention.

After all, that guy detests any existence competing with him for the title of lie... which is a name and not a divinity...

Cyric is someone who desires to be singular.

Even though demons can pose no competition for his divinity, he’d try to eliminate Beelzebub when he gets the chance.

However, Lansendel quickly abandoned this little idea.

It wasn’t worth the trouble.

Not only could it easily alert Cyric, but also draw trouble from Asmodeus.

Although Hell still treats Lansendel with courtesy, if he repeatedly bothers that Lord of Hell, that guy would dispatch a Grand Duke of Demons to deal with his, no, his followers’ business.

Lansendel didn’t give Beelzebub a glance, and slowly walked forward.

It seemed he noticed someone.

But normally, he shouldn’t have spotted that person this easily.

Ha~

Though Lansendel appeared sluggish, he actually left the Dimensional Gate at lightning speed... After he made such a difficult decision, why would he let anyone ruin it!

Watching his departing silhouette, Beelzebub secretly exhaled deeply.

”You see, I said the Lord of Dawn would be reasonable since he didn’t start attacking right away.” With a smile, the slow voice rang beside Beelzebub’s ear.

”If you hadn’t hidden so completely, maybe I’d believe it?” Beelzebub said with enough cynicism to turn a statement into a rhetorical question.

Grazt emerged elegantly: ”It’s none of my business. Even if it’s not too dangerous, why should I take any risks for your matter?”

”Would you really be spared if he kills me?” Beelzebub mocked with a laugh, ”I’m volunteering to guard the gate, but you’re not, right?”

Everyone knew Grazt and Dimogogan were always competing for the favor of the Bottomless Abyss.

Transforming from an Abyssal Lord into a Demon Prince who could stand equally with Dimogogan took Grazt substantial willpower.

But now, leading the Demon Army in flaunting battle, was that Double-headed Baboon, not Grazt.

These demons are not like the Dukes of Demons, pondering whether it’s worth the risk.

Do you really think because Grazt prided himself as the most cunning Demon, he wasn’t part of the Chaos System?

Always starts with amazement, but ends with horror, ha~

Beelzebub was very displeased that the Bottomless Abyss, after deciding the Nine Layers of Hell would guard the gate, directly dispatched Grazt!

Does Grazt even compare to him?

Beelzebub’s true enemy, the former Grand Duke Marladominie who once stepped over him, is a name forgotten by all!

Ha ha~ What did Grazt do?

Added countless colorful, unedited jokes to the Multiverse?

Grazt smiled at Beelzebub, who wore an expression of utter disdain... Did this guy even notice who Cyric was coming for?

Could he really team up with that Dark Sun?

But cooperating with Cyric still made him a bit uneasy... Yet if the opponent is a Grand Duke of Demons, seemed like he had nothing to lose?

Perhaps... give it a try?

Although he knew Beelzebub’s strange expression was not directed at him, Grazt was still irritated.

-----------------

”I say, Shaer, what on earth are you looking for?” Lansendel found the Observer who should have been very well hidden.

”The Heavenly Mountain; can’t project a giant curtain, didn’t you know?” Shaer said irritably, ”Do you think I’d manifest what my eyes see?”

She’s not crazy!

That thing isn’t only being watched by William, how could she expose her true thoughts... even if she could control her emotions and reactions, it’s still not the same thing!

Lansendel couldn’t resist a cold laugh: ”There’s no shadow in the Heavenly Mountain? Impossible!”

Though a Primordial Goddess of Toril, Toril originally bordered the Multiverse directly... Thus, Shaer and Celene’s strength lies in their power within the Multiverse, considered as Primordial Goddesses.

The two of them, from the beginning, were powerful Divine Powers in the Multiverse, with explosive combat strength.

Therefore, Lansendel did not believe Shaer’s words at all... Indeed, in the Heavenly Mountain filled with Positive Energy, it’s rare to have vast shadows for Shaer to freely use.

But they’re definitely not absent.

”What do you know?” Shaer glanced at him coldly, ”Do I have to follow in the footsteps of demons and devils, moving slowly?”

This isn’t Toril, the Heavenly Mountain still imposes quite a restriction on me.”

Lansendel curled his lips... she had to admit, her animal appearances were useless here.

Shaer recently had been too concerned about her image.

As if William didn’t know those two creatures were her as well!
