Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Aislin and Rosero’s reactions were not swift.

Even though Delphus, whose body had recovered, has already started barking orders to his attendants, circling around to do his bidding, Aislin, the owner of the airship, showed no response.

It can only be said that she observed for a few days at most, and probably, after seeing Delphus lying there unable to move, she no longer cared about the activity in her living room.

Anyway, her airship control room exists independently, even if she occasionally needs to check whether the airship has deviated from its course... Although, in theory, these strange objects can’t deviate from the set route and direction, spells that can affect the judgment system of strange objects exist in this world... Aislin doesn’t even need to greet Delphus, separated by just a door.

Hill can still understand Rosero doing nothing... Neither Princess Glacia backing Aislin nor the Lansendel that Delphus might bring are presences that this Duke of Demons wants to contact.

He absolutely hopes not to greet any of them during this trip.

If before Hill couldn’t quite understand Rosero’s attitude towards Princess Glacia, now he has sorted out most of it... It’s an unlucky boss always on the brink of bankruptcy, ready to shove certain responsibilities onto Rosero.

If it weren’t for being penniless and powerless, only living on that meager salary, Rosero would have fled long ago.

And this guy has managed to exist in Princess Glacia’s court for so long; he must be well-versed in the various situations regarding the Succubus Queen.

Clearly, Rosero preferred risking intimate exchanges with Lansendel over staying in Sia Tower and trailing behind Princess Glacia.

Hill was somewhat puzzled... Weren’t all of Princess Glacia’s actions tacitly approved by Asmodeus?

Furthermore, the Princess of Hell returned the things she had stolen!

Could it be that the Lord of Hell still seeks to settle accounts with her for some reason?

Hill felt there was something he hadn’t discovered.

It’s understandable; although he has more insight into Sia Tower’s recent situation due to numerous insider information, he is, after all, a newcomer and certain internal details are beyond his reach.

But Hill thought carefully... Whether knowing these matters would affect his safety or Teraxil’s safety was already irrelevant.

He didn’t need to be overly concerned.

As for Aislin, who doesn’t even have a clue about what’s happening on her own airship, Hill needn’t bother with her.

Her life or death now rests entirely in her own hands; others can only watch, not even offering reminders.

If Aislin is completely unaware of the situation, as long as she firmly believes in her reasons to live, she might have some chance.

But if she learns her soul has become the battlefield of Princess Glacia and the Goddess of the Silvermoon, Aislin wouldn’t be able to steadfastly believe she has a chance of survival in the battle of deities.

Her weak will cannot be swayed by any warning.

So, when Hill watched her leave this time, he had already bid her farewell in his heart.

Even in the best-case scenario, the Aislin who returns would have a completely new soul, a genuine stranger.

Gently glancing at the rare bustle in the airship hall, Hill’s focus shifted to the Rommel Magic Tower, which was already reaching its climax.

Princess Glacia, who had exchanged pleasantries with him, was now revealing her scissors amid the map.

This time, her personally delivered gift was a bonsai basket woven from Dam Tree branches and Laspa branches.

The main element of the bonsai was a golden tree made from Laspa branches, carrying a light cedar fragrance.

The creator had been quite ingenious, utilizing the stripped, golden interior of Laspa branches combined with its beautiful needle-like leaf ball shapes, making the bonsai very autumnal.

The basket and soil below the tree were composed of dark green Laspa bark and brown Dam Tree akin to oak, perfectly blending the contrasts of the basket and the golden tree.

With an elevated tone full of joy, Princess Glacia exclaimed, ”This is a gift I prepared meticulously~

I made it with my own hands!

I selected the materials myself, I personally wove it inch by inch!

Is it beautiful?

The feeling you give me is just like this tree!”

She smiled brightly, her radiant face unusually showing some cuteness, and her cheeks were flushed: ”I know you love Alchemy.

Unfortunately, I’m not very knowledgeable in that area, so I could only manage this much.”

She gently tapped on the basket... Immediately, a bright glow appeared around the bonsai.

Princess Glacia whispered softly, ”Look, the brightness of two taps is like this.

Three taps make it brighter.

If you just tap once, it turns off.”

Hill blinked, his mood suddenly taking a turn: Dam Trees indeed can preserve Light Spells.

But achieving what Princess Glacia described, this Dam Tree might, no, must be the remains of some Dam Treemen.

On the screen, Princess Glacia was still earnestly recommending her heartfelt gift to Rommel: ”Also, you can use it without worry, it won’t be burned by magic flames.

Of course, ordinary flames are even less of a concern.

Although not all of these materials were acquired by me personally, the most important ones are indeed the fruits of my hunt!

So, Rommel, the gift I bring today, are you willing to accept it?”

She tilted her head playfully, looking at the solemn-faced Rommel.

However, at this moment, a single thought echoed in Rommel’s mind: He probably doesn’t need to worry about whether Hill would intervene at the most dangerous moment.

That Child of Nature, no matter how magnanimous, would not stand by and watch the hunt of Treants, especially Dam Treemen, which are famously linked to nature’s trees like oaks, return home unharmed by Glacia.

Glacia was blatantly showing off.

The Little Bear, born from the World Tree and nurtured by the Natural Will, wouldn’t easily let Glacia off, even without much hatred in his heart, especially when everyone knew he was here.

A Dam Tree, whose branches wouldn’t be burned by a Magic Flame, must be of Demigod-like Treants!

Rommel glanced lightly at the proud Princess of Hell, taking a deep breath: ”Grand Magus Glacia, this time I really can’t refuse your gift.

But, this doesn’t mean I...”

”Of course,” Glacia said with a bright smile, ”this is my visiting gift!

I only hope to take a glimpse into Rommel’s world.

I’m not in a rush for anything else.”

Glacia smiled brilliantly, probably because she finally found a way to touch Rommel’s stony heart, making her uncontrollably overjoyed.

She truly felt that, at the moment she mentioned even the Magic Flame couldn’t burn this bonsai, Rommel’s attitude softened a bit.

Indeed, to touch someone’s heart, you must grasp what they care about most.

Previously, she was too busy, so she could only use the simplest method to pursue Rommel.

However... Glacia, feeling spirited, thought, how could the man she set her eyes on be so easily swayed by money?

She actually knew what true pursuit should be like.

But in the heart of the Princess of Hell, if she can get what she wants the simplest way, why waste so much thought?

However, when required to show sincerity to step into the Magic Tower before her eyes, Glacia felt even happier... A person who pays attention to her intentions is always better than one who craves wealth, right?

Following Rommel and stepping into the gate that blocked her so many times, Glacia felt very cheerful.

And when she no longer wanted to sit in that empty hall and wanted to enter Rommel’s study, Rommel had no intention of refusing her.

Glacia truly felt she had pried open a bit of the heart of this serious and handsome mage.

The magic array in that study was so powerful that even at the White Tower she couldn’t penetrate it.

Of course, if she were to use her true power, she might be able to break through... But doing so would be a bit too blatant.

She is looking for a suitable lover, not an unwilling slave... That would be a choice after complete disappointment.

For now, Glacia is quite willing to play this somewhat exciting pursuit game with Rommel.

She hadn’t felt this invigorated in a long time!

Her eyes fell on the metallic painting on the wall, and without hesitation, Glacia walked forward to take a closer look: ”Gilbert traded this for your Beehive?

That’s a bit too stingy, isn’t it?

While these materials are the best kind from meteorites, they clearly look like leftovers!

How did that guy even have the gall?”

Rommel’s heart actually wanted to know more... how Glacia had the audacity to say so openly how well she knew these things?

Did Glacia forget she was still trying to win him over?

This blatant assertion that ’I am monitoring your every move’... What kind of man would fall for such a Glacia?

Even devils probably couldn’t manage it, right?

At this moment, Rommel suddenly admired Duke Mamon a bit.

Even though he was remarkably hideous, making many wonder why Glacia was interested in him.

But to be so intimate with such a Glacia for tens of thousands of years, that long snake’s days must have been quite exhausting.

Glacia’s tone made it clear that she didn’t think there was anything wrong with her kind of surveillance.

Tsk~

It’s often said that the Succubus Queen’s every affection leads to betrayal... Rommel could completely understand why, knowing full well it’s life or death, men still do it.

For a moment, it can be tolerated, even a year or two.

Living this kind of life for several hundred to a thousand years, who could manage that?
