Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Hill didn’t expect to witness such a joyous scene today.

He originally thought he would see Glaysia cunningly taking advantage, Rommel desperately resisting to protect his chastity... and himself forced to take action, giving Glaysia two huge slaps.

Hill had already decided how hard to hit her and in which direction to send her flying... Since she liked the moon so much, he’d let her soar beyond the clouds, to give Silvermoon a close embrace.

Although Draculus’s scheme still succeeded, which annoyed him slightly, in life—something is always gained and lost, depending on what Hill himself desires more.

Amusement isn’t more important than venting his feelings, and he understood this long ago... enjoyment is fleeting, but if you can’t release that pent-up anger, it will be remembered forever.

Besides, as long as Rommel’s identity remains a secret, there will surely be more amusement to watch in the future.

Suppressing momentary pleasure for long-term grievance is the choice he should make.

However, at this moment, Hill suddenly felt a bit of admiration for Glaysia... Though her style of doing things is quite despicable, truly, she has patience and resilience!

Just not sure if Asmodeus, when sparing a glance at the world during the battles, will feel angered by his beloved daughter.

Bear in mind, this always stoic Lord of Hell is really hard to enrage... Even when he displays anger, his interior remains cold and void of fluctuation.

The only true fury was when Bisozeya died back then... This was a major issue concerning his grand plan to heal his severely wounded body, hence his rage nearly engulfed the entire nine layers of hell.

As for the later purges, Asmodeus’s anger is probably nothing more than a performance.

So, Hill really wanted to know how the Lord of Hell is feeling at this moment... After all, if he truly doesn’t wish Bisozeya to resurrect normally, then Glaysia will inevitably always be the first princess.

At this moment, Hill felt immense joy... Draculus being able to put aside his dignity and say such melodramatic words undoubtedly brings great amusement.

Yet, thinking that these plots might become a regular occurrence makes it even more entertaining.

And Asmodeus, despite being so proud and dismissive, still dotes on a person like Glaysia... That Lord of Hell seems very much like one who, upon hearing an unwelcome tune, would directly destroy the precious instrument—the allure of pathology.

Moreover, he is not pretending; he is inherently this kind of character.

If not for those God of Order accelerating matters, he would indeed be a standard archangel.

And, in hell, after seeing what the outside world truly is, Asmodeus probably understands even more clearly.

Thus, Hill is certain that whatever happens, Asmodeus will undoubtedly collaborate with the filthy demons he once loathed the most, to attack Heavenly Mountain.

Even having become the Lord of Devils of hell, deep inside, Asmodeus is still that proud King of Battle Angels... He doesn’t miss his immaculate wings, but he despises the culprit who forced him to abandon them.

The God of Order is wholly unprepared, not because they don’t understand the Lord of Hell’s hatred for them, but because they believe having become the king of the nine layers of hell and relishing it, Asmodeus’s first priority is not to invade other worlds to expand hell’s territory, nor to tame the Bottomless Abyss, uniting all devils, but to target those seemingly harmless deities of Heavenly Mountain.

Tch~

Such an Asmodeus, yet produces a daughter like Glaysia.

Although the Will of Hell has no choice but to bestow him royalty, it also gave him a resounding slap!

Shaer probably thought of this as well, and she’s already scheming many ways to exploit this Succubus Queen... After all, Rommel is Draculus’s creation.

That guy, despite his longevity and meticulous nature enabling him to portray such a vivid Rommel, his acting skills are just passable.

It’s only because the opponent is overly self-assured, indulging entirely in her own emotions like Glaysia, that he hasn’t been exposed.

And outsiders can’t possibly see as clearly as Hill does.

Toril’s exclusive silent and soundless transmission technology, even in Teraxil, is rare, and until now, no one has been able to crack it.

Others can only observe from afar, unable to discern Rommel’s overly sincere expression.

After all, to see clearly, one must use magic... Glaysia isn’t so dim-witted as not to detect someone casting magic right next to her.

Even Fengo wouldn’t dare to treat his own princess in such a manner.

Regarding acting, even the drama-loving priests of the Shuni Church can’t compare to Shaer’s Followers of the Night.

After all, losing only costs face for one, while for the other—it literally means losing one’s life.

The life of the Followers of the Night is spent performing at the cost of their lives... One wrong move and all is lost; Shaer won’t care if you’ve achieved significant exploits.

Clearly, Shaer has started to show interest in this Succubus Queen.

From now on, perhaps, men in the Church of the Night may see a slight increase in their numbers and status.

Although Nasir’s presence has helped the male assassins of the Church of the Night live a bit more comfortably, the side of spies still falls under the Priestess’s Absolute Territory.

Toril, is a world that Hill couldn’t understand ... Clearly, in those territories ruled by women, the status of women is high enough, and even in other regions, they greatly respect women from her lands.

Yet in those places, women are still looked down upon and treated as appendages.

This is why Shaer’s shadowy tentacles are everywhere.

Perhaps it’s because even after becoming powerful leaders, no female ruler feels any empathy toward other mortal women?

Thus, Celene becomes the pillar in the hearts of mundane women ... Only she is willing to protect the lowest-class laundry women, and even the High Priest of the Silvermoon Church actively demands the withheld wages for these women.

Hill glanced again at Shaer’s deep big eyes shimmering ... How interesting, these two sisters, although always at odds, always seem to act in sync.

One is kind and willing to protect all good and hardworking women.

The other only likes those who rebel furiously after being oppressed and humiliated, crushing those who hurt her into a bloody paste.

Yet both are true feminists.

In between them are those who go with the flow, who only care about surviving, indifferent to everything else, and are divided by those goddesses fond of love and desire.

Although the Shuni Church makes people like Hill not fond of it, indeed, it offers a path to women from the middle class and minor noble backgrounds living in the gaps.

Especially in a world like Toril, where crises loom at every moment and life can be lost at any time, humans inherently develop a mindset of seizing joy while they can.

Hill gently pressed his lips together, refocusing his gaze on the giant screen ... Although he can understand, he is truly glad that the world he was born in, Teraxil, is not like this.

The status of women in Teraxil is not high, but compared to Toril, it might even be better than Silvermoon City.

God of Nobility ... Hill couldn’t help but close his eyes.

Though that guy really annoys Hill, it’s also because of his unwavering resolve, even if dragged into evil, that Teraxil people always respect power, rather than a specific gender.

The turning points in the battles between men and women are seen based on who is stronger, not because of someone’s name.

So that’s why William always tries to speak on behalf of the God of Nobility to Hill, right?

Being with Shaer, he surely sees more than Hill.

William doesn’t plan to stop Hill’s revenge; he just hopes Hill won’t harm the foundations of the God of Nobility.

Knowing somewhat of Hill’s status in the Goddess of the Earth faction, he clearly understands that if Hill truly wishes, even the Divine Kingdom wouldn’t be safe for the God of Nobility.

Hill silently tapped the table, and chuckled softly.

Facing Shaer’s gaze, Hill smiled and spoke: ”I plan to return to Teraxil without drawing too much attention.”

Shaer slightly tilted her head, instantly understanding to whom Hill’s words were directed.

”William says thank you.” She curiously looked at Hill, ”Were you intending to stir up some waves?

I always thought little Hill was a forgiving child.”

”Ah, my adorable elder daughter, though a bit silly, still a good child.” Hill said slowly, ”But just because she’s silly doesn’t mean everyone should trip her up, right?

It’s necessary to teach those with hopeful intentions a lesson, else next time, it wouldn’t just be a foot extended.”

In matters of establishing one’s authority, Shaer naturally understands better, so she nodded deeply in agreement: ”Then you are still too kind.

Why not just chop off that foot?

How could William interfere in such matters?

His fairness and justice shouldn’t merely be ornamental, should it?”

Hill couldn’t help but twitch his mouth, that damn woman started again.

He only smiled: ”William hasn’t intervened too much, he only hopes my revenge doesn’t exceed a certain range, to avoid world chaos.

I’ve been hesitating, but recent experiences make me feel Teraxil indeed isn’t suitable for great turmoil.”

Shaer pursed her lips slightly: ”Ah~ The glow of kindness, it’s somewhat dazzling.”

Hill could only murmur internally: Why don’t you comment on your nosy lover’s dazzling glow?

He knew saying one more bad thing about William would all result in his misfortune.

Then Hill’s eyes suddenly lit up: ”Is that the glow of Silvermoon?”
