Surviving The Fourth Calamity

”World Tree? So, you look like Coron?” Glaysia’s answer was always so expressive.

Fengo’s standard diplomatic expression instantly crumbled.

Although it was overly pretentious, his annoyance and resentment were genuine. He couldn’t let Glaysia be kicked around like a ball in front of him, nor did he want to do too much to attract the attention of His Highness Hill to himself.

Therefore, he kept carefully weighing his words... not even mentioning why Hill should have infiltrated their Sia Tower!

Though both sides understood the reasons, if they were more confident, they could certainly ignore that and focus solely on the outcome.

But, with Asmodeus having no intention of intervening, and with Celene and Lansendel, who had good relations with this prince, present, all Fengo could do was ignore everything that had happened in the past and elevate this matter above the level of a private conflict to that of a dispute between the Hell and World Tree forces.

Fengo really didn’t dare to say a single word wrong... he didn’t even dare to directly address the famous self-identified mage as His Highness!

However, was his reckless princess’s mind filled with the sewage made from the brain fluid of that Goddess of the Silvermoon due to an alchemical failure?

He was clearly trying to keep this matter confined to the faction of the World Tree!

Fengo quickly figured out why Hill, a seemingly inactive party, would take advantage of Glaysia’s attempt to seduce a pretty boy to jump out and attack her.

Rommel’s existence was meaningless, but the gift Glaysia gave to this pretty boy was clearly a huge taboo.

Even though His Highness Hill himself leaned more towards the World Tree and the Natural Divine System, he appeared on Toril as a descendant of Coron!

Coron himself publicly admitted and showed favoritism to this descendant!

While his relations with elves weren’t perfectly close-knit, he did protect quite a few elves... someone like this couldn’t possibly turn a blind eye to Glaysia’s incriminating evidence.

His Highness Hill doesn’t bring up this matter, mainly to avoid causing a direct conflict between the Coron God System and the nine layers of hell due to a few words.

Some things can happen, and revenge can be exacted, but it’s best not to be brought to the forefront... especially not for large forces.

Not every vendetta needs to turn into endless warfare.

But if Hill, as a member of the World Tree Pantheon, publicly reveals Glaysia’s actions, Coron would be forced to express his anger towards Hell, even if he didn’t want to.

Yet, as the greatest enemy of the Bottomless Abyss, the existence of the nine layers of hell is seen as necessary by many deities.

Especially for the elves, whose race spreads across the multiverse.

Though powerful, they are also easily targeted by evil forces... particularly with Rose in the Bottomless Abyss, they absolutely do not want public enmity with the nine layers of hell.

Thus, although His Highness Hill is angry, he has no plans to publicly mention the matter... it seems as though he’s merely saving a ’friend.’

Anyway, when Ruth asked him to help during the Kamente Tower incident, he also formed some acquaintance with Rommel.

Fengo, who was familiar with most things at Sia Tower, figured these causes and effects out in an instant, and his heart settled... His Highness Hill really is a mature prince.

He can even keep in mind that as a member of the Natural Divine System, he isn’t fit to represent the elves in declaring war.

Then he found a reason, albeit a dubious one that made sense, to act against Glaysia.

So what was the outcome?

Glaysia directly dragged the topic to Coron’s face!

That mighty divine power is undeniably handsome, even beautiful. What does that have to do with you, Princess of Hell?

Gracing someone with an arrow upon meeting?

Fengo couldn’t help but look enviously at Hill, filled with infinite resentment... Damn, other people’s princes...

Hill also couldn’t help falling into silence.

Glaysia’s overly peculiar thought process made him feel as if living in a cartoon... as if only villains there act so zestfully, leaving both sides speechless yet unwilling to get killed.

Oh, and she wouldn’t.

After all, nobody wants to offend the nine layers of hell over such an idiot... the reason she lives so freely, causing so many problems, and still gets assigned by Asmodeus as the Succubus Queen under the guise of ’can’t stay idle,’ is something that every knowledgeable person in the multiverse can understand.

Glaysia, to some extent, is the symbol of close collaboration between the Lord of Fallen Angels and the nine layers of hell.

Otherwise, Glaysia herself would have been dead countless times over by now.

Could she surpass Midnight Mistrala?

But the few who do dare to offend the nine layers of hell prefer leaving this whimsically-inclined princess as Asmodeus’s problem to deal with.

Hill gently glanced at Fengo, whose face had turned pale, even turning his head away, unwilling to look at Glaysia again.

Though his performance was overly exaggerated, Hill could sense the sincere intentions of this Hell Prosecutor.

Actually, Hill is a very kind person who is willing to help others.

Thus, he didn’t hesitate to kick the stupid princess, who was still focused on staring at his face and couldn’t resist smacking her lips, towards the direction of the Black Tower.

Fengo’s shocked performance was overly obvious... something only the loud Graysia, who shouted ’You actually dare to take action,’ didn’t notice.

But he persevered in making a whole set of startled expressions towards the air before rushing to Hill, pleading with him to be gentle.

At this time, Hill had already kicked Graysia’s bouncing black ball several times.

To his surprise, Fengo’s Black Tower was much more resilient compared to Graysia’s White Tower.

However, considering the princess’s personality, Hill could understand... her White Tower was entirely built with natural white materials, not painted.

Though the price of the materials was similar, the transparent and pristine white of the elves made this material cost slightly more for its beauty.

Therefore, even if the construction cost was equivalent, the defensive power of the Black Tower was slightly higher.

Of course, white building materials can be extremely sturdy, but her White Tower was built to be sleek and elegant, with exquisite windows.

The price to pay far exceeded the materials themselves... Naturally, Hill could instantly see what level of materials she used.

Legendary Rank, that’s all.

How to put it... Although devils don’t skimp on materials, they wouldn’t expend their own resources and effort just to build a white tower for her.

Therefore, even though Hill added extra force to ensure Graysia bounced back accurately in front of him during his second round of kicking, the Black Tower still endured one more kick than the White Tower.

Just as Fengo’s hurried and guilty plea for help rang out alongside the sound of the Black Tower collapsing.

Of course, Graysia’s screams and curses blended perfectly with these booming drumbeats, forming a witch’s symphony.

”Your Majesty Asmodier, allow me a word with Mr. Hill,” Fengo said after freezing for two seconds: ”Hell’s plot was merely on paper and has completely failed.

There will be no further actions against Teraxil... This is the Lord of Hell’s promise.

Given this, could Mr. Hill not hold grudges against our somewhat immature princess?”

Hill furrowed his brow slightly, then decisively said, ”If this is spoken by Asmodier, then I’m willing to accept!”

Fengo’s lips curled into a smile... He perceived the respect from Hill for their Lord of Hell.

Though Asmodier’s power is immense, for various reasons... among the nine layers of hell, at least half of the leaders harbor discontent and hidden agendas... Many entities do not truly respect him.

Especially given the circumstances of the previous Queen of Hell being assassinated.

Plus, Asmodier rarely fights to the death due to his severe injuries... Though the Multiverse fears great wisdom, they only fear it.

It doesn’t mean they respect it.

The only thing that can compel everyone to submit obediently is immense and unreasonable power.

Like the likes of Lansendel.

Can the wisdom of the Lord of Dawn be compared to Asmodier’s?

Yet, in the hearts of many, Lansendel appears more terrifying than Asmodier... because the Lord of Hell can be driven away by one desperate battle.

Of course, to possess such confidence, one must at least be as formidable as the current Hill.

But... being the Lord of Hell, leaving such an impression in the multiverse is definitely unfit for Asmodier himself.

Though this Hill evidently dislikes the nine layers of hell, he truly acknowledges Asmodier’s immense power!

This made Fengo, the henchman of the Lord of Hell, very satisfied.

Even Asmodier, who saw Hill’s response through Fengo’s eyes, felt good.

Compared to Fengo, who only understands Hill through intelligence, Asmodier knows more about this child of the World Tree.

After all, he had met him in the previous world.

Asmodier understands clearly, this demigod who has mingled with the Undead Tribe for a long time would never fear him simply because he is the Lord of Hell.

His attitude could only mean he genuinely believed Asmodier was strong enough to threaten the world of Teraxil, this child of the World Tree... without needing any conspiracies.

That’s why Hill accepted the Lord of Hell’s promise so straightforwardly.

This pleased Asmodier, who was scheming a grand conspiracy... even as his newly summoned Level 30 devils once again melted under the moonlight.
