Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Hill truly envied Delphus, who could rely solely on his face to stand against the arrogant and domineering Aislin.

Rosero realized how severe Aislin’s problem was but chose not to express it because he keenly perceived that the machine gun-like Aislin firing at Delphus might not be speaking as one person.

They were internally battling in a peculiar way.

Clearly, every word spoken was more about disrupting the willpower of the other two... that kind of indiscriminate chaos made even the articulate Duke of Demons choose silence.

Only the foolish Delphus continued to resist stubbornly.

But, if one didn’t listen to the content of their dialogue, only looked at the surface aura, the twisted, evil-faced Delphus really didn’t seem like that unfortunate soul being nearly stepped beneath her high heels.

Hill wasn’t unfamiliar with fierce-looking individuals.

Yet, even Talos, surrounded by wind and thunder, was visibly a loser in verbal combat when he failed.

For the first time, Hill truly saw someone who could contend evenly with three sharp-tongued ladies just by relying on his face.

Of course, provided one doesn’t listen to what he says.

His articulation was worse than that loud-mouthed fool Talos.

It was all due to his twisted face suppressing everything.

Hill wouldn’t necessarily change to an ugly face himself.

Though he’d never been hit because of his face... in the age when he first became conscious of gender, boys were already described as beautiful.

Thus, he didn’t think there was anything wrong with his delicate face.

But, Hill wouldn’t be like some who especially care about their face.

Knowing he wasn’t ugly, he dared to act recklessly.

Hill slowly took out a piece of paper and recorded the twisted marks on Delphus’s face with a pen... As a Child of Nature, he couldn’t joke around with his own body, but drawing some intimidating lines on his face or simply creating a mask of extraordinary power was still possible.

Of course, the reason he got such an idea was because he knew his next encounter with the Undead Tribe wouldn’t be too far away.

Even if Lansendel unexpectedly didn’t bring the Undead Tribe to this demon-infested world, upon returning to Teraxil, he would surely welcome many visiting guests.

It was even likely that Hill’s Biography, Aesces Chapter, had already been completed.

Though the world’s time flow hadn’t synced with the Multiverse yet, it wasn’t like the past, where one day equaled a year.

Things on Aesces must have already reached a conclusion.

And knowing Lansendel, the probability of him not bringing the Undead Tribe was one in ten thousand.

That guy was never afraid to spend money but cherished his followers dearly.

The Undead Tribe resonated with him in various ways... especially when causing trouble for others.

So, even if part of them were sweeping across worlds outside of Teraxil, the main force would definitely accompany Lansendel.

Which among them wouldn’t bring surprises to Hill?

After much contemplation, Hill decided to give them some surprises in return... after so many times, it’s unfair to always be on the receiving end.

In the previous worlds, he thought too well, did too little. This time... hehe~

Russell and Carpenter leaned their heads together, watching the verbal battle on the giant screen... their subordinates busily recording the inside information leaked during the exchange between the two Mages... while peering at their teacher, who inexplicably revealed a ferocious smile and was furiously drawing on the desk.

-----------------

The confrontation between Aislin and Delphus concluded with the lady throwing a black-light moonbeam at him.

Lost in his drawing, Hill looked up at that moment and suddenly felt... Aislin, no, the Goddess of the Silvermoon within Aislin’s body, likely couldn’t count on Celene’s help.

The Toril Silvermoon Goddess appeared carefree.

But in reality, she was exceptionally capricious.

She wouldn’t acknowledge a Silvermoon tainted by evil.

Indeed, Glaysia’s soul was the strongest within Aislin’s chaotic spirit, but this didn’t mean that Silvermoon could weaken to the point of having her power eroded.

In Celene’s heart, Silvermoon could perish, but must never become a part of Darkness.

She admired Elisui, someone surrounded by evil yet capable of conjuring a full moon, possessing a particularly resolute nature.

She would save a Silvermoon nearly devoid of hope for survival but steadfastly holding its ground, but wouldn’t rescue one that compromised with the Princess of Hell to survive.

Whether or not it was because Glaysia’s soul had resonated with Silvermoon through certain Silvermoon experiments, allowing their souls to merge attacks, Celene never considered the reasons.

Aislin, it seems there is a slightly better chance of survival.

But, it’s merely survival.

Her soul hasn’t reached the level of excellence that would make Celene willing to create a new body for her... And this body, just now, which integrated Darkness into its Music of Light, has already lost hope of becoming the Goddess of the Silvermoon.

That Goddess of the Silvermoon is either genuinely so chaotic that only fragmentary consciousness is left desiring survival, or is naturally the type of confused person who only cares about living, with aspirations not even as high as those of the big frogs.

The Chaotic Faction indeed acts in ways that are hard to fathom, appearing aimless.

But once they reach the pinnacle, their hearts must possess a more determined core... This core is enough to support them in doing those messy things without truly becoming madmen.

The most chaotic Bottomless Abyss also harbors a desire to become stronger!

That is also a type of core.

As for Celene, what supports her is her eternally pure Moonlight.

She can tolerate chaotic half-orcs, but absolutely won’t allow demons and devils to touch her Moonlight.

Hill softly sighed, took out his notebook, and deleted all the ideas related to Aislin... Perhaps because too much sin was committed before, Aislin’s best path has been completely severed.

However, her hope for survival, on the contrary, has increased... Though Celene and Lansendel may overlook mortals when they stir things up, they wouldn’t easily involve innocents if they handle it personally.

So Aislin would become merely a thousand-year-old infant.

Ruth and Oliva are still around; raising a child is something Hill doesn’t need to worry about for them.

Hill glanced at Russell and Carpenter, softly advising: ”Starting today, don’t go near the White Tower.

Of course, it’s best not to go out.”

”Not even to Archmage Ruth’s place?” Russell hesitated, asking, ”Mage Koyl ordered some Low-tier Golems from me.

I planned to deliver them the day after tomorrow.”

Hill glanced at him.

The day after tomorrow, isn’t that just when Aislin’s airship is due to arrive at the former Defense Tower site?

This Russell fellow, although he’s had much of his Fate depleted, is still quite genuine!

This time estimation is even more accurate than Hill’s.

Hill himself deduced it from the conversation of Delphus and the others... after that fellow finally got up from the couch.

And Russell, determined this order’s timing several days earlier than him.

Truly...

Hill helplessly shook his head.

”Teacher?” Russell cautiously asked... Every time the teacher looked at him with such eyes, Russell always felt cold sweat running down his back.

Definitely not a good thing.

This is Russell’s destiny.

Hill understands very well that he has pulled Russell from the worst of fates, but he cannot stop the tests that destiny has arranged for him.

The Fateful moment of the Son of Fortune, sooner or later, will come... If Hill stops it this time, the next time, Russell will face an even harder test.

The only hope is for Gilbert to officially ascend to godhood, absorbing the Heaven-sent Fate from the World Will bestowed upon the Hainarson Clan.

Although at that point, every member of the Hainarson Clan would be just like any other... But they would inevitably gain stability henceforth.

However, with Gilbert’s ascension, their family would also receive divine protection.

Even the shelter of the Grim Reaper, for the Hainarson Clan, is a form of fortune.

In a Fantasy World, being able to have a peaceful and comfortable death, without worrying about the harassment of Necromancers, is indeed a decent ending.

Not to mention, those dreadful schemes and endless evil plots would stay far away from them.

Even the most foolish of Evil Forces wouldn’t want to mess with ones unafraid of death.

”Archmage Ruth’s place is quite safe, but you still need to be careful on the way.” Hill replied without looking up, and his voice was gentle, ”Think it over yourself.

It’s okay not to go, just notify Koyl.”

Russell frowned and thought for a while: ”Then I’ll go myself... Although Mage Koyl won’t hold it against me, this order seems to be somewhat entangled with Great Magician Nicholson and Archmage Karmante’s sides, I want to see for myself.”

He doesn’t want his negligence to affect the biggest business of the Magic Tower.
