Surviving The Fourth Calamity

The Lord of Hell is really quite irritable.

He knows the Abyss wants to organize manpower, and more or less, there will always be some issues.

Even the Demon Princes who have close ties with the Abyssal Will, the Abyss still needs to offer sufficient benefits to mobilize them.

Even Dimogogan, who appears to need the Abyssal Will’s approval the most, won’t expend its strength for free.

Even if attacking the Heavenly Mountain holds substantial benefits for them.

But, this isn’t something that has just started to be organized!

Even if there’s no sense of the passage of time, the plan was finalized when Lansendel was noticed focusing on this world!

He has already given up several worlds cultivated over many years... Although it was at the point where Teraxil could no longer be moved that Asmodeus was willing to abandon those chicken rib lands, but weren’t those his territories too!

However, the Abyssal Will isn’t deliberately stalling either... It’s just that getting chaotic demons to show up at a uniform time and place is indeed difficult.

Making those two-headed gorillas and six-fingered baboons stand in one place without fighting or bickering, and having their subordinates line up honestly... Asmodeus can understand why the Abyssal Will keeps saying ’so troublesome.’

But, Asmodeus angrily looks at the silver-blue moonlight and rose radiance on the left and right ahead... These two scoundrels, to avoid listening to his sweet talk, actually chose to turn into light directly!

Though the Lord of Hell doesn’t attach much importance to face, he must still maintain the grand image of the nine layers of hell while the multiverse’s gaze is concentrated here.

He put a lot of effort into shifting the devils’ love for blood and slaughter to elegant intrigue and conspiracy; he absolutely cannot let them return to the original path... The more the devils love slaughter, the more they reminisce about the past Hell’s Royal Family.

Elegantly making someone unknowingly yield their soul, not even knowing where death comes from, such things are beautiful yet cruel, but they also require effort and labor!

Indeed, devils grow strong through human desires... But before, they chased only the simplest desires.

Slaughter and greed, despair and sorrow, such emotions were easily achieved with powerful strength.

However, letting devils and demons compare who is better at killing?

Why are there so many well-known madmen in the multiverse? Because their destructive power is immense!

Otherwise, Hell wouldn’t have fought so arduously against the Abyss in the first place.

It’s so much better now, though the Blood War is still ferocious, and even more forces are being invested by the Bottomless Abyss, Hell’s chance of losing has become smaller.

This is also why Asmodeus’s power in Hell is increasing... Even if the Great Devils still harbor sentiments for the previous reign, they have more respect for the Lord of Hell who leads them to victory.

Though following behind Asmodeus is exhausting, they live!

What else do Hell creatures pursue... other than power and life?

Otherwise, the Lord of Hell wouldn’t have ascended to godhood so easily, as he already held enough belief and fear.

Still, Asmodeus is very aware that in Hell, he has many enemies too... Even ones that could potentially threaten him personally.

However, now that he’s just returned to his peak stage. So, walking in Hell, he sees only reverent napes.

Just a slight flaw shown would inevitably be attacked by some devil... Even if that flaw is intentionally shown by him.

Devils indeed fear the Lord of Hell’s tricks, but they never lack expendable cannon fodder for probing, never needing to give up any opportunity.

And if he oversteps just a bit, the elegant devils cultivated by Asmodeus over so many years would grow disappointed with the Lord of Hell and instigate a plot to undermine the foundation of the ’Lord of Hell’ divinity.

Therefore, despite feeling indifferent to actions like those of Lansendel and Celene, Asmodeus can only choose to shut up and fight directly.

No worries... Asmodeus feels no discomfort with the current restraint... He is the one who emerged as the dark horse.

Once he climbs to the highest point of the Heavenly Mountain and tramples those greedy and foolish Gods of Order beneath his feet, then his somewhat unstable Lord of Hell divinity will become exceedingly solid.

Compared to the previous Lord of Hell’s foolish thought of using the Bottomless Abyss to establish power, Asmodeus prefers to confront the Heavenly Mountain.

Dark Energy against so-called Positive Energy, that is the innate Law... Chaos against Order indeed is too, but who doesn’t start from what’s easier?

The more Asmodeus understands those deep-seated laws of Hell, the more he suspects if the previous Lord of Hell’s head was filled with water.

The struggle between Chaos and Order should be such a monumental concept!

Is it something he, as a King of Hell who hasn’t yet completely assimilated Hell, can accomplish?

No wonder the Will of Hell welcomes his appearance... Directly confronting the most basic laws of the multiverse, even if Hell could achieve victory, it would only invite a stronger enemy.

It could even lead to an alliance of deities and demons.

Asmodeus is well aware that the former Lord of Hell, like the Abyssal King and the Queen of Chaos on the other side, has been completely abandoned by the true masters of Hell and the Abyss.

Yet this time, when his target was set on Heavenly Mountain, he received the full cooperation of the Will of Hell, which even went as far as to open its core to Asmodeus!

The Will of Hell is unlike the greedier Will of the Abyss; it doesn’t mind if the ruler oversteps and directly controls all of Hell. It only hopes the laws of the nine layers of hell become more perfect... So, for the Will of Hell, which doesn’t care about the fate of devils, to turn against the previous Hell’s Royal Family, one can imagine how foolish they must have been.

Asmodeus casually glanced at those two tall auras... These two aren’t just worth diverting attention for.

Because the Hell Core is open to him, his divinity as ’Lord of Hell’ has merged with Hell, causing his power not only to return to its peak but to even surpass it significantly.

And Asmodeus has always had meticulous control over every ounce of his power... The surging strength makes him feel a bit unstable in control.

Perfect for practicing on these two.

He blinked... Actually, he doesn’t enjoy watching the high-level demons he summoned die so miserably, but Asmodeus could only console himself.

The plan was his, the timing was determined by him, and the allies were found by him.

In the end, he could only accept his responsibility.

Fortunately, amidst these bothersome emotions, there’s a bit of solace... Asmodeus won’t assume Hill’s respectful attitude towards him is due to the child’s own realizations.

Those truly strong individuals understand that Asmodeus’s might isn’t affected by his injuries, and they avoid his cunning schemes, so they wouldn’t think the Lord of Hell is easy to deal with.

Thus, what Asmodeus dislikes the most are those second-generation individuals backed by powerful figures!

Indeed, Asmodeus won’t continue opposing them when they ignite their divine blood... After all, once such a situation arises, their parents are bound to charge in.

It’s nothing remarkable. He’s not from the Abyss, why waste his painstakingly formed avatars?

Yet those fools really believe Asmodeus fears fighting to the death, and even dare to spread such rumors!

What can the Lord of Hell do?

He of course gladly accepts these rumors... The more idiots believe them, the easier his tasks become.

As for those idiots he calculates to death... Deceased ones whose divine souls turn into soul gemstones in his hand don’t speak.

But that doesn’t mean he dislikes encountering a well-mannered second-generation. Especially since Hill’s conduct can only prove that even the World Tree itself acknowledges Asmodeus.

The Lord of Hell knows well that those foolish second-generations actually reflect their parents’ lack of recognition of him.

No matter the reason... Some naturally stand on Heavenly Mountain, inherently aligning with the God of Order’s faction.

Thus, even knowing the past, knowing why their Battle Angel went this far, they still see them as ’traitors’.

The insults towards Asmodeus are not because they’re unaware of his strength, but because they seek the God of Order’s approval.

As for those who birth without caring for their offspring, allowing external influence without supervision, only choosing revenge after their child’s demise, Asmodeus can hardly bother... It’s known that even if deities’ progeny are abandoned in empty worlds, they won’t remain ignorant.

Bloodline inheritance ensures their full maturity from the moment they’re born.

Just like Hill, even though he emerged from a small world, he’s actually quite knowledgeable about deities renowned in the multiverse.

While his temper isn’t great, never sparing those deities who dare provoke him... A Divine Child like him who dares to directly assault intermediate divine power soon after leaving his world is indeed rare.

Most second-generations become more flamboyant as they grow, initially behaving quite honestly.

But this Hill, truly hasn’t been much flamboyant, even though he’s already qualified to sit at the powerful divine seat.

He remains the disciplined World Tree’s child.

Therefore, even knowing this kid entered this world as an adversary, Asmodeus still quite likes him... He senses the World Tree’s recognition.

Of course, Asmodeus doesn’t need anyone’s recognition, but finding such acknowledgment gives him joy.

Hence, despite Hill’s presence making his own offspring seem inadequate, Asmodeus decides not to care about that black sphere below for now.

Kick it a few more times, maybe it’ll shake loose some of the water in its head!
