Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Delphus turned back without hesitation to look at Aislin, who hadn’t moved a step behind him.

He didn’t know why the lady didn’t flee, but given Rosero’s decisive abandonment of Aislin to escape, even though Delphus was somewhat clever, it wasn’t really useful enough for him to almost immediately consider Aislin as a discard of Sia Tower.

In a sense, he wasn’t entirely wrong in this thinking.

But he overlooked Aislin herself.

So, those who knew the truth on the giant screen side thought Delphus was courting death as they watched him point haughtily at Aislin with disdain.

Carpenter even raised a hand, giving a clear farewell to Delphus on the giant screen.

”Aislin, didn’t you hear the lord opposite asking you a question?” Delphus raised his chin, staring at the female mage, now bereft of protection.

Now, their life or death was at the whim of the figure opposite them.

The dazzlingly adorned figure in red and gold posed a pressure even more terrifying than Fengo to him.

Even if he exaggerated his perceptions because the figure was a formidable enemy, this was still someone on par with Fengo, no, even Glaysia.

Coupled with the rosy light always surrounding the figure and the base behind them... he had seen that chasing Rosero.

Now, all they could think about was how to survive in such chaos.

Thus, Delphus was filled with anger and contempt towards Aislin, who ordered him to use the ’Order Jewel.’

He could rely on some means to resurrect, but this woman sustained entirely by Rosero’s support could only hope for survival if Delphus was willing to protect her.

Hill, on the giant screen, shook his head as he deduced Delphus’s mindset from his expressions and tone changes: ”Ah, this time, they’ll never see each other again.”

Even if Glaysia had to die herself, she’d first send him to see Asmodier.

Devils are always vengeful, meticulous in settling scores.

And this ’Aislin,’ of course, knew Delphus was someone who the Lord of Hell kept in mind.

Asmodeus indeed suffered many losses, but those caused by Delphus were something he might never encounter again in his lifetime.

Though everyone knew it might not have been Delphus himself but the ’Order Jewel’ that acted.

But did Asmodeus really need to ask Lansendel why he slapped him for no reason?

His anger could only be vented on Delphus.

Yet such a small figure wasn’t worth the Lord of Hell personally taking action... nor would Asmodeus act as long as Delphus remained useful.

For ’Aislin,’ who still hoped for the Lord of Hell to assist her, it was nice to seize the moment when Delphus’s mind was scattered by gunfire to present Asmodeus with a little mischief.

So Hill was not surprised to see Aislin on the screen with hands clasped in front of her chest, already flashing black light.

However, Aislin’s black magical glow came to an abrupt halt.

A silver-blue light burst forth from the center of her forehead, directly colliding with and overturning the black glow in her hands.

Though the silver-blue light had some grayish traces around it, the black light band that used to fuse with it was nowhere to be seen.

’Aislin’ flipped her hands in amazement, growling softly: ”Aislin!”

Completely oblivious to the recent crisis, Delphus arrogantly spoke again: ”The lord didn’t ask your name!

He asked why you used the Order Jewel!”

However, the followers of the Lord of Dawn no longer needed to ask this question.

Their eyes were staring in astonishment at the female mage, alternating between flashing black and silver light.

How could it be possible that a Dawn believer couldn’t recognize a devil’s evil? Or a Dawn Devotee couldn’t discern the Power of the Silvermoon?

But since when could the Power of the Silvermoon coexist with the evil power of a devil?

Even though he knew long ago that living long enough meant seeing all kinds of strange phenomena... but having traversed so many worlds, from Toril to the edge of the new universe, it was his first time seeing someone capable of wielding both powers simultaneously!

Even if the soul was different, it was impossible!

Knowing exactly what was happening with Delphus, although initially refraining from acting, once accepting the reality that ’there’s no other way but this,’ he did a lot.

Though the ’Order Jewel’ was a trap, even using demonic means to mask the glow of the ’Dawn Fire,’ it wasn’t something an innately evil soul like Delphus could utilize.

Despite the other consciousness being innocent, the primary control of the soul sea was in Delphus’s hands... even if that soul awakens, it will become increasingly evil while working from the same soul.

How could there be naturally evil souls with pure white wills?

If he hadn’t figured a way to bind that will with the Dawn power within the ’Order Jewel,’ even if he woke up in Sia Tower and remembered his great mission, he wouldn’t undertake it.

The Dawn Devotee understood well that humans are inherently selfish; it’s a part of their nature... while certainly, natural saints exist, one cannot resent those who first think of themselves for being selfish.

So, under normal circumstances, when the two wills of a single soul awaken, they would never think about the world’s future; they would only begin to struggle for dominance over the soul.

But the heart of goodness can indeed be cultivated.

Of course, before cultivating him to sacrifice himself for the world, it’s best to first tell him the beautiful ending of completing this task and provide him with a firm and unshakable foundation.

Lastly~ give him a means that wouldn’t waver his resolve for any reason.

For example, the Dawn Fire.

This is both a protection so that Delphus’s other will won’t be polluted by any external power, and a guarantee that this will won’t be tempted by any external interest.

Plus, the other will helps Delphus to eat delicious fruits.

Every time that will wakes up, it probably wouldn’t dare to look in the mirror.

The longer it binds with the Dawn Fire, it only fills him with longing for beauty and art... so he would only feel disgust towards Delphus’s body.

In a situation where a new body can surely be acquired in the future, the possibility of that will perfectly completing its task approaches one hundred percent.

The Dawn Believers are very satisfied with their schemes, which is why they are so surprised by the final unexpected turn.

According to their deduction, they must surely make a stylish appearance at the end, greeting the already arrived Lansendel with joy, and show the great Lord of Dawn their magnificent achievement.

Instead of the current situation, where while the Lord of Dawn is fighting outside, he still has to find ways to send them a lifesaving Holy Light.

But all surprise and dissatisfaction were swallowed down after discovering Aislin’s peculiarity.

Ah, in this multiverse, is there not a single Silvermoon that looks decent?

What kind of Silvermoon could coexist peacefully with the Power of the Devil, and even harmoniously and peacefully integrate with such an evil Soul Force?

Although the Dawn Messenger knew long-distance travel broadens the mind, today’s encounter still left him a bit baffled.

Hill looked at the inexplicable shock on the handsome face of the Dawn Believer on the gigantic screen and couldn’t help but laugh... More surprises await in the future!

He somewhat sensed that the Silvermoon was a turncoat.

In order to consume Aislin and Glaysia’s souls, whoever sought cooperation with it would get a hand... Only in this way could the thinnest soul among them gradually permeate the other two souls, strengthening its own will.

In order to survive, the Goddess of the Silvermoon in this world had completely lost her mind.

But Silvermoon can be chaotic, can be willful, but to obliterate its innate traits of purification and purity?

Indeed.

Hill suddenly thought of that moon controlled by Glaysia through Aislin’s soul... He should have realized the essence of the Silvermoon in this world long ago, shouldn’t he?

That moon couldn’t possibly be unaware of how evil it was for its will to be controlled through that soul, yet it naturally submitted.

So, from the start, this Silvermoon might have not been quite normal.

It’s very possible that Silvermoon is just its exterior, or rather, it was innately a double moon... one that appears as Silvermoon on the outside, but is intrinsically a Dark Moon twin moon.

No wonder Glaysia was so confident that she could control the power of this world.

But Hill doesn’t believe she knows this just through her own abilities.

Tsk~ This old silver coin Asmodeus had it all calculated from the start, didn’t he?

Once everything is over, pulling this twin moon closely linked with the Princess of Hell directly into Hell... when this new universe inevitably moves towards destruction at Bisozeya’s resurrection, judging by the essence shown by that Silvermoon, it would certainly not refuse the only possible lifeline.

In that case, Asmodeus would essentially add a moon belonging to their devils to the nine layers of hell!

This is making up for the essence of the nine layers of hell!

Tsk~

Hill finally sighed a long breath of relief as he figured it out... Damn, this world is here just to consume his brain cells!

No wonder Ming River was so sure this world could be turned into the Ming River World.

The characteristics of Silvermoon surely root from the essence of this universe.

Hill raised his head to look at the sky, the hot Sun still casting its radiance... Amanata and Kashus are likely doomed.

Just with their brains, to dare collaborate with Asmodeus, their audacity is astounding.

Indeed, Amanata and Kashus’s biggest strength is self-confidence... Put another way, it’s arrogance and conceit.

Haha~

The Dawn Messenger was still a bit dazed, ignoring the fawning Delphus in front of him, he softly asked, ”Miss Aislin, exactly who are you?”
