Chapter 1661: Chapter 819: Director Yu Zhihe (3)

”Yes.” Zhou Yun said, ”Why don’t I contact her too? See if she’s available now?”

Konosuke Harada mentioned this to Yu Zhihe, who was delighted to hear that Nakajima Hoto was also present and said, ”Great, if she’s available, please invite her over.”

Konosuke Harada translated this for Zhou Yun and asked him to contact Nakajima Hoto.

Zhou Yun immediately messaged Nakajima Hoto.

Nakajima Hoto replied with three exclamation marks.

Ten minutes later, Nakajima Hoto arrived.

”Director!” Nakajima Hoto greeted Yu Zhihe joyfully, beaming and bowing formally, ”It’s been so long since we last met.”

Yu Zhihe smiled and gave Nakajima Hoto a hug, and then everyone sat down again.

With Nakajima Hoto present, Konosuke Harada felt more at ease as he no longer had to juggle hosting and translating duties.

Yu Zhihe inquired about the film they were currently shooting.

Nakajima Hoto eagerly provided an introduction.

”Oh, so it’s a film with this kind of theme? Sounds interesting.” Yu Zhihe said, ”I’ve always wanted to make such an exciting film but haven’t had the chance.”

”The director is also interested in this kind of theme?” Zhou Yun was surprised.

Previously, Yu Zhihe’s films concentrated solely on human interactions and everyday life, with no relation to action or chase films.

Konosuke Harada explained, ”The director has always been a fan of action films, really enjoys watching them.”

Zhou Yun suddenly understood.

Who would have thought?

Zhou Yun truly didn’t expect that Yu Zhihe actually liked action films, which was quite different from his public persona.

That evening, everyone had some food and drinks, chatting until half past ten at night.

Zhou Yun and Nakajima Hoto together escorted the director downstairs.

When leaving, Yu Zhihe happily pulled them together for a group photo.

Later, this photo was posted on Pine Branch Movie Company’s official website and shared on their Twitter account.

Zhou Yun also posted the photo on her social media, saying: Finally met the director I’ve admired for many years.

Everyone in the photo looked genuinely happy.

Director Yu Zhihe’s film screening will be held the day after tomorrow, and Zhou Yun wanted to coordinate with her crew to see if she could free up half a day to attend.

Unfortunately, she had a full day of shoots that day, making it difficult to adjust.

Zhou Yun could only abandon the idea.

Nakajima Hoto also had scenes to shoot that day and couldn’t request time off.

The two shared a helpless smile on set.

That’s how it is for actors.

While waiting, Zhou Yun unexpectedly received a call from Shi Luoqi, whom she hadn’t heard from in a long time. ”Hey, Xiao Yun, can we talk now?”

”I’m waiting on set for a scene, I can talk, just a bit bored.” Zhou Yun laughed, ”Sister Luo Qi, what’s the matter?”

Shi Luoqi said, ”I’ve got good news, ’Falling Leaves’ is finally ready for release.”

”Huh?” Zhou Yun exclaimed with joy, ”Really? When?”

”Just passed approval, we haven’t set a date yet, everyone’s discussing when would be best.” Shi Luoqi said excitedly, ”This film has been in the works for ages, finally ready!”

Zhou Yun was equally thrilled.

”That’s fantastic.” She had been eagerly waiting for ’Falling Leaves’ to be released. If ’Behind the Scenes’ was a burst of creative impulse, ’Falling Leaves’ was a flow of deep nostalgia. Zhou Yun still fondly remembered the efforts and compromises made with Xue Qin during its filming.

Shi Luoqi: ”Yes, that’s why I wanted to tell you right away after passing approval. When it’s released in the mainland, I’ll schedule its release in Europe and America for the end of the year to hit awards season. I’m confident it’ll do well.”

”I agree, it’ll do well.” Zhou Yun nodded.

”You’re still filming in Australia, right?”

”Yes.”

”I’ll be visiting next week, I’ll see you then and we can catch up.”

”Sounds good.”

Zhou Yun hung up the phone cheerfully.

Nakajima Hoto curiously asked, ”Xiao Yun, why are you suddenly so happy?”

Zhou Yun said, ”A film I previously acted in that’s been having troubles can finally be released.”

”That’s great.” Nakajima Hoto nodded with a smile, ”Congratulations.”

”Xiao Yun, the director is calling you.” Someone said.

Zhou Yun quickly stood up, ”I’ll head over now.”
