Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1591: Chapter 802: Joining the Team for Training

”Killing Song” is an international big production and a commercial blockbuster aiming for a global box office of 500 million dollars.

For a film like this, Mélando offered Zhou Yun a salary of 5 million dollars, which is roughly her standard rate for commercial films. Though in China, she would earn slightly less for a movie, she has started taking box office royalties in addition to her salary there.

This is Zhou Yun’s first time starring in a Hollywood film. Zhou Lan did not discuss box office royalties because it’s not realistic; Mélando would never agree to it.

Of course, the reason they accepted this film was never just for the salary.

When Zhou Yun arrived at the hotel booked by the crew for her, it was a sunny afternoon.

It’s summertime in Australia.

Suddenly coming from a cold season to a warm one, Zhou Yun was still adjusting.

Brillanch was waiting for her at the hotel entrance.

”Hey, Zhou Yun, was everything good on your journey?” He embraced Zhou Yun warmly.

Zhou Yun nodded, smiling, ”Everything was good. Has everyone arrived?”

Brillanch said, ”Basically everyone is here. Nakajima Hoto and Jin Zhulin have already started action training. When can you start training?”

Zhou Yun nodded, ”I’m okay here; I can start anytime.”

”Time is tight, so it might be a bit tough later, with lots of moves to learn.” Brillanch said.

”No problem, don’t worry. I won’t slow down everyone’s progress.” Zhou Yun was confident in her strength and ability.

After the training and filming of ”Two Tigers” and ”Female Assassin,” Zhou Yun had never stopped her action training. Whenever she had time, she would maintain exercise and martial arts practice.

When Zhou Yun returned to the hotel and changed into her training clothes, wearing only a black strapless vest, Brillanch was assured.

Zhou Yun’s body and muscle lines give no impression of frailty.

Muscle lines require long-term dedication to be maintained.

Zhou Yun’s physique clearly showed she had started action training long ago.

Brillanch no longer worried about Zhou Yun.

He led Zhou Yun to the training site.

”Killing Song” is a battle royale-themed movie. The story is set in a future world where chosen people must enter the battle royale game to become the last survivor.

The movie has many characters, especially the rival actors engaged in life-and-death chases with Zhou Yun in the film, including Japanese actor Nakajima Hoto and Korean actor Jin Zhulin, both nationally famous actors Zhou Yun had heard about. Besides them, there are American male actor Hugh Redman, American female actor Lily Cruise, Danish male actor Chris Pine, among others, with a total of twelve actors playing the battle royale contestants.

Among them, Zhou Yun had only met Hugh Redman at Elizabeth’s party.

In terms of the cast, these young actors are rising stars in their countries but still lack international renown.

Hence, Mélando specifically invited two big names, veteran Movie Queen Missy Streep and veteran Movie King Rupert Rubio.

These two will act as behind-the-scenes organizers of the battle royale game, enhancing the film’s cast with strong supporting roles.

Zhou Yun soon met the director Tim Lang.

Previously, they had chatted several times via online videos.

Tim Lang is a very experienced and mature director. What surprised Zhou Yun the most was that he greeted her by saying ”Xiao Yun,” though his pronunciation sounded a bit awkward.

The ”Xiao” part is quite essential.

Foreigners wouldn’t typically add this word before her name when addressing her.

Perhaps Tim Lang learned this nickname from somewhere and decided to use it.

”I’ve been looking forward to your arrival,” Tim Lang said, ”Last night, we all watched your new movie ’Four Killers.’”

”Hm?” Zhou Yun showed a surprised expression, ”Wow.”

Tim Lang said, ”This is our agreed form of relaxation. Every night we watch a past movie of an actor here to better familiarize ourselves with each other.”

Zhou Yun understood, nodding knowingly. Each director has their own method to help actors get to know one another and create a good filming atmosphere, which can help the director better coordinate everyone on set.

She went to the training ground and saw over ten actors practicing in the vast training space.

It’s not just physical training, but also archery, martial arts, boxing, and various other exercises.

Seeing this scene, Zhou Yun was somewhat surprised.

It’s rare for Zhou Yun to see such a large, realistic training ground, with all kinds of activities, like a scene out of a movie.

Brillanch, beside her, said, ”You can come here anytime for training in the next few days. We’ve rented it.”

Zhou Yun nodded, asking, ”What is this place used for usually?”

”It’s usually open to the public, rented out to film crews for shoots; many crews have this need. Sometimes, when there’s free time, it’s rented to other companies or organizations for team building,” Brillanch introduced, ”However, because the place is large, we’ve only rented half of it, and others will still come during our time here.”

”Okay, I understand.”

Zhou Yun warmed up, then found her action coach and began learning moves.

The action coach was a rather cheerful-looking foreigner.

Originally, he told Zhou Yun they wouldn’t rush into learning moves; he wanted to check her physical condition and strength first.

Zhou Yun sparred with him for about twenty seconds, and he realized.

Okay, this girl has some foundation.

Seeing this, the action coach couldn’t help but relax.

After all, training an actress with some background is much easier than training one who has no idea how to fight.

Zhou Yun directly started learning moves.

The film has many action scenes, particularly for Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun’s action scenes are mostly pre-designed, so she just needs to learn them.

The moves taught by the action coach were recorded by Liu Yun for Zhou Yun to review later to check if her moves were okay.

After training for about two hours, at 6:30 P.M., Zhou Yun finished today’s training.

At this time, Brillanch also arrived, saying, ”Everyone has prepared a welcome dinner for you; let’s go over together.”

”Okay,” Zhou Yun nodded, ”I’ll do a quick rinse first, just give me five minutes.”
