Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1562: Chapter 792_3

Kang Xin couldn’t help but laugh.

”It feels like everything seems so easy with you.”

”No, it’s because I have full faith in you, Director,” Zhou Yun said, ”I truly believe you can conquer audiences worldwide.”

Kang Xin immediately raised both hands, making a ”that’s enough” gesture.

”Alright, alright, stop flattering me like this. I’m a man in my sixties, I’ll blush and embarrass myself.”

Zhou Yun laughed.

”There’s one more thing, the broadcasting rights for ’Chen Yin’ have been sold to NH for other countries,” Kang Xin said, ”at that time, ’Chen Yin’ will be released on Sanfan Video and NH simultaneously, with the entire series available all at once. This is my first time directing a web series, and I never imagined it would be globally broadcast online. I’m quite surprised.”

Zhou Yun let out a delighted ”wow.”

Kang Xin continued, ”The expected broadcasting time is next March. Keep some time for me to do some promotion for this series.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Sure, no problem, coincidentally by then ’Killing Song’ will be almost finished, ready to wrap up.”

Kang Xin asked, ”When are you going to start filming ’Killing Song’?”

”In a few days,” Zhou Yun said, ”once ’Killing Song’ is wrapped, I’m planning to take a long vacation, to relax and unwind. I’ve really been too exhausted these past years.”

Kang Xin nodded and said, ”You’re an actor, you indeed should consciously let yourself relax more, rather than jumping from one role to another, it’s too draining. You know, the more exhausted you are, the harder it is to create, depleting your energy, focusing becomes hard, and emotions aren’t as full.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

”You actors in front of the camera, the most important thing is to maintain your state unaffected by anything. You have different priorities from us who work behind the scenes,” Kang Xin said.

”Yes, I understand that very well now. Recently, I was filming a new drama with Wen Bing in the countryside, and to be honest, it was shot very comfortably. He used a documentary-style shooting method, allowing me to perform long and fragmented, unsystematic performances, and in this process, gradually find the moments I most wanted to express,” Zhou Yun said, ”while filming his drama, I felt a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction instead.”

Kang Xin said, ”Wen Bing shouldn’t be making movies like ’Two Tigers,’ although he does it well, not as vulgar as typical commercial films. He’s more suited to directing films like ’Life’ on his own terms. When I watched his ’Life,’ I found it incredibly talented, at once unrestrained yet astonishing.”

Upon hearing Kang Xin’s description, Zhou Yun’s eyes lit up.

”Yes, that’s exactly the feeling. I really like that about Wen Bing,” Zhou Yun said, ”he is a very romantic director. He doesn’t like to tell actors what he wants; he just informs them of what he’s going to shoot. Alright, then you go ahead and act; he won’t intervene until you deliver the moment he desires, then he tells you where you didn’t meet his expectations.”

Kang Xin laughed and said, ”That’s really willful.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Director, regarding the film about the architect, if you need me to guest-star in a role or need me for anything, just let me know anytime.”

Kang Xin nodded.

Zhou Yun thought that if in the end, Kang Xin really couldn’t find a star to play the lead, he might have to rely on his network to bring in a lot of star actors for cameos to ensure the film’s starlight. Otherwise, even as a director, the platform now might not be that interested.

She worried that Kang Xin might be embarrassed to ask her.

Sitting and chatting with Kang Xin felt wonderful.

After eating, she accompanied Kang Xin as they left together. Kang Xin’s driver had already parked the car at the restaurant entrance, ready to pick him up. Just as they stepped out the door, a reporter suddenly appeared in front of them with recording equipment.

”Director Kang, Miss Zhou, meeting today, are you two collaborating on a new project?”

This reporter looked very young, almost like a high school student.

Zhou Yun was somewhat annoyed by such sudden appearances, but seeing the young face, her annoyance slightly dissipated.

She glanced at Kang Xin and responded, ”I just haven’t seen Director Kang in a while, so we took the time today to meet and chat.”

The reporter wanted to say more.

Zhou Yun continued, ”Besides, this is our private meeting, not a public occasion. Your sudden appearance startled me and made me uncomfortable. If you want to interview us, please follow the proper procedure and send an interview request, okay?”

Zhou Yun earnestly looked at the young reporter and said.

The young reporter showed a look of embarrassment.

”Oh, sorry.” He bowed his head slightly and bowed.

Zhou Yun said, ”Goodbye.”

She first put Kang Xin in the car.

”Director, bye-bye.” Zhou Yun waved.

Kang Xin nodded to her and smiled.

The car drove away.

Zhou Yun had driven herself. She went to find her own car nearby and opened the car door.

”Miss Zhou Yun, I’m not a reporter from a formal media outlet. Can I interview you?”

The young reporter from earlier suddenly reappeared, with a cautious expression on his face, asking.

His eyes were bright and showed a hint of nervousness.
