Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1552: Chapter 785_3

Zhou Lan deliberately brought up the film ”Killing Song” in front of the two of them, hoping they could set a completion date for the film soon and not waste any more time.

Wen Bing, as expected, asked: ”When will ’Killing Song’ start shooting? When does Xiao Yun need to go over?”

”The filming is scheduled for mid to late next month, but the exact day hasn’t been decided yet. Mélando wants Xiao Yun to come early for action training. I told them Xiao Yun already has a strong foundation and doesn’t need to start from scratch; she can learn the action scenes a week early. But they insist on Xiao Yun joining the crew sooner, so I’m here to discuss with her when she should go.”

Wen Bing nodded and said, ”In that case, let’s shoot this current film until the end of this month, the 30th, how’s that?”

Wang Zilin asked, ”Can we finish it?”

”I’ll try editing it first. Anyway, almost everything I wanted to shoot is done, except for a swimming scene in the reservoir, which we’ll film when Yuk Chu arrives.” Wen Bing said, ”Actually, if it doesn’t work, we can skip it for now. The weather is too cold, and I’m worried about Xiao Yun catching a cold if she goes into the water now. We might as well wait until summer to shoot it.”

When Zhou Lan heard this, she immediately said, ”The temperature is just single digits now, so let’s avoid letting Xiao Yun shoot scenes involving water. Supplementary filming next summer works well.”

Wen Bing nodded.

He said, ”I’ll discuss it further with Old Wang. Oh, Xiao Yun is here.”

He waved his hand.

The three actors came back.

Zhou Yun asked, ”Director, how was that scene just now?”

”It’s good, pretty great,” Wen Bing said, ”Sister Lan is here.”

Zhou Yun had already seen Zhou Lan.

She smiled at Zhou Lan.

”Did you see us acting just now?”

Zhou Lan nodded and said, ”I saw it, but I didn’t really understand. I don’t know what you guys were filming.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Well, you’ll have to ask the director about that. In many scenes, I don’t know what I’m filming either; I’m just doing what he intends.”

”I haven’t seen Huaichun look like this in a long time, so simple and clean,” Zhou Lan said, ”Although it lacks the sophistication of the usual roles, it has a rustic charm, very nice.”

Gu Huaichun laughed and said, ”My agent almost flew here when they saw me in this look, saying this won’t do.”

Zhou Lan said, ”How did you handle it?”

Gu Huaichun said, ”I told them this look was prepared by the director himself, and if they’re not satisfied, they should talk to Wen Bing. That shut them up.”

Wen Bing: ”Am I perceived as a scary person among the agents?”

Zhou Lan said, ”You’re not seen as scary by us agents, but as a respected artist.”

”Are you joking with me?” Wen Bing asked, stunned and not quite believing it.

Zhou Lan said, ”I’m definitely not joking.”

Gu Huaichun said, ”I testified, yes, and after I told my agent it was your idea, they had no more complaints.”

Wen Bing: ”I never realized my words were so effective with you all.”

Zhou Lan: ”Are you just being humble, director? Do you believe that if you announce your film is looking for actors, half the entertainment industry would flock to you?”

Wen Bing: ”I had no idea I was so popular.”

”Because before your films start shooting, there’s no wind of news; the actors are already chosen internally,” Gu Huaichun said, ”You’ve never held auditions but if you ever do, you’ll see how many people want to come over.”

Wen Bing nodded and said, ”I’ll try next time.”

Everyone talked and laughed.

On the way back, Zhou Lan and Zhou Yun walked at the end.

Zhou Lan shared Mélando’s requests with Zhou Yun and also what Wen Bing mentioned earlier.

”Before going to Australia, there are two commercials to shoot; they’ve been scheduling them for a while now.” Zhou Lan said, ”So I’m thinking of booking a flight for the 8th next month. What do you think?”

Zhou Yun thought for a moment and said, ”Let’s delay it a couple more days, I want to see Song Chi.”

Zhou Lan nodded, ”Okay.”

”This time, your fans put in a lot of effort; I never expected them to do that,” Zhou Lan said, ”Mélando ultimately didn’t switch actors because your fans sent protest letters that scared them. Reportedly, nearly two thousand letters reached their inbox on the day Variety published their news.”

Zhou Yun was shocked: ”That many?”

”Yes, quite a surprise, right? I didn’t expect it either,” Zhou Lan said, ”Especially the ones from France; apparently, quite a few fans joined the protest.”
