Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1564: Chapter 793: Paparazzi (2)

Lu Ming is indeed a smart person. After pondering for a few days, he found the official contact email for Zhou Yun’s studio and sent them an email, briefly mentioning his conversation with Zhou Yun, and then arranging an interview time.

The response was quick; within half a day, they had added the WeChat he attached in his email.

They said: I am Liu Yun, Miss Zhou’s assistant.

Lu Ming responded sweetly: Hello, Sister Yun, I’m new in the industry, please guide me.

Liu Yun: This Saturday afternoon from four to five o’clock, one hour—does that work?

Lu Ming immediately replied: Of course it works! Thank you, Sister Yun! Where should I go to interview Sister Xiao Yun?

Liu Yun: I’ll send you the specific address later, it’s in Beijing.

Lu Ming thought to himself, great.

He was ready to roll up his sleeves and give it his all.

At the same time, he realized that when interviewing a big celebrity like Zhou Yun, usually there’d be photographers to take a few pictures.

Initially, Lu Ming planned to shoot himself, but considering his skills, he worried he wouldn’t meet the expectations of Zhou Yun’s side.

He immediately considered seeking external help.

It was at this moment that Lu Ming suddenly realized the limitations of his current circle.

Everyone was just paparrazi, always chasing quick stories, none of them had professional photography skills.

Yet, Lu Ming did not fall into anxiety at that moment, instead he also considered one thing: after completing the interview, where should he publish the article?

Although he wasn’t sure how much a special interview article with Zhou Yun was worth, by the gossip market standards, it should be priced quite high.

Lu Ming hesitated for a long time, and decided to find a media outlet to collaborate with.

He carefully searched for relatively active entertainment media, the legitimate ones, then found a way to get the contact information of their editor-in-chief—this showcased the advantage of paparazzi, obtaining contact information for these entertainment section editors was simply a breeze for them.

Lu Ming did not plan to call every editor-in-chief.

Once everyone knew about this, it would inevitably create some trouble.

Although young, Lu Ming understood this principle.

After comparing all the media outlets, knowing his limited ability, he couldn’t write a literary and in-depth interview article, so he immediately abandoned traditional media and decided to go down the path of more influential new media.

The biggest card Lu Ming held was an exclusive interview opportunity with Zhou Yun.

Many professional media outlets couldn’t schedule an interview—even though Lu Ming didn’t know how he caught Zhou Yun’s eye, he had seen online that many journalists mentioned how difficult it was to arrange an interview with Zhou Yun. She wasn’t particularly fond of being interviewed, often having only four or five interview articles a year, all with media she had worked with for a long time.

Therefore, for Lu Ming, this interview article holds the greatest value for media that couldn’t get an interview opportunity with Zhou Yun.

Lu Ming quickly selected one and called the editor-in-chief of that media.

...

”Why did you give that kid the chance to interview you?”

Zhou Lan felt baffled upon hearing this, ”Doing charity work?”

Zhou Yun said: ”It’s nothing, just that the kid... although rash, he is quite sincere, and I impulsively agreed.”

Zhou Lan said: ”He has no interview experience at all; I’ve heard that he’s just a rookie paparazzi, never done any proper journalist’s work.”

”Doesn’t matter, after all, it’s just a chance experiment.” Zhou Yun said, ”Even if it fails in the end, it’s just failure.”

Zhou Lan sighed.

”I think, if this spreads, other media who’ve always wanted to interview you might react, since you’ve ignored their requests but accepted an interview from someone who’s never worked as a journalist before.” Zhou Lan said.

Zhou Yun said: ”You must give newcomers a chance.”

Zhou Lan: ”This newcomer is quite new, so new that no one knows him.”

Zhou Yun: ”Do you believe me, I believe the kid definitely won’t foolishly come alone to interview me.”

”Huh?”

Zhou Yun: ”He gives me the impression that he’s smart, definitely not just sincere.”

Zhou Lan looked at Zhou Yun doubtfully.

”Alright, Sister Lan, I’ve already promised him, it’s a done deal, stop nagging me.” Zhou Yun said, ”I have to shoot an advertisement tomorrow.”

Zhou Lan sighed and said: ”Alright, you should head back to rest, see you tomorrow morning.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

”Are you meeting someone after this?” Zhou Yun suddenly asked.

Zhou Lan was startled, ”Huh?”

Zhou Yun said: ”You’ve dressed exceptionally well today.”

She stared at Zhou Lan, showing an expression as if saying ”You can’t escape my watchful eye.”

Zhou Lan said: ”You noticed, Lin Zhiping is waiting for me.”

”Oh.” Zhou Yun said, ”I came back and you still haven’t introduced him to me.”

Zhou Lan: ”We’re only in the talking stage now, haven’t established a relationship—why are you in such a hurry.”

Zhou Yun: ”I’m heading to Australia soon, how could I not be in a hurry.”

Zhou Lan said: ”You should go to Australia and focus on filming; if everything goes smoothly between us, when you return from filming in Australia, I’ll introduce him to you.”

Zhou Yun pouted.

”We have to wait that long.”

Zhou Lan: ”Like I said, why the rush.”

Zhou Yun: ”...”

”By the way, Sister Lan, you need to clear some time in March, coordinate with Director Kang’s side; Director Kang said ’Chen Yin’ will air in March, and it’s a global premiere, there’ll be some promotions to do, must reserve some time for that.”

Zhou Lan: ”Alright, I’m aware of this, time will be set aside.”
